Mathius had too much down time and hated it. After completing the military training, which he thought was a joke to begin with, he spent his time on Alsakan in one of three places, the barracks, the shooting range and the bar. In this particular Alsakan bar, military types are welcome, as long they remained respectable.
“Ceasefire, Bah! Even though I don’t have any pull because I am a private doesn’t mean I don’t want things to get done.”
Mathius proclaimed this out loud, for enough people in the bar to turn and look at the imbecile. Too many Antakarian Fire Dancers had gone to Mathius’ head, but it did not stop him from where his emotions and thoughts on his sleeve.
