Both Ruelle's and the Jedi's lightsabers sprang to life at the exact same time, as if it was planned. Her's glowed a bright red. His bright blue. They hissed loudly against the ruthless rain that threatened to soak them both to the bone. Lightening split the sky into a thousand jagged shapes. Thunder rolled. As the Jedi raised his head to meet her gaze, Reulle could make out some of his features even in the darkness of the night. He was young, but still older than her, so it was possible she had a fair chance against him.

Neither of them spoke before the battle started; Siris had taught her not to let a Jedi chat and stall to build power. But the Jedi still came at her faster than she expected. She didn't even have time to switch to an offensive posture. Their weapons collided against each other, hissing loudly against the downpour's interference.

Ruelle put all of her focus, all of her force into the speed and strength of her movements. Like before her confidence grew and she smiled wolfishly at the surprise on his face. The Force swirled around her... hungry... begging her to lose herself in it's power.

But suddenly he reached out with his free hand, and the length of a metal poll ripped off a nearby sidewalk like once before. This Jedi must've been trained by the one Siris killed. However this time Ruelle was ready for random flying objects, dodging back and away from the Jedi so at first it didn't collide with her. But the Jedi didn't dispose of the item he had picked up right away, instead using it like a weapon. It came back at her, and she cut it in half so it'd fly harmlessly by her.

Not wanting to let him continue to fling things at her she allowed her annoyance and anger at how she had failed to kill this Jedi's friend fuel her. Tiny sparks leaped from her free hands fingers, and she sent one flying towards the Jedi to make him focus on it before she charged forward to take him head on again. @Nefieslab

Sometimes Cregan was certain that Nar Shaddaa was alive... and in those times he was absolutely certain that Nar Shaddaa was alive and it hated him more than a jilted ex-lover or something. Like, hated him enough that it put all of those soap opera holovids to shame with just how dramatic it was about how it hated him.

Or maybe it loved him and just pretended to hate him? Whatever - Tsundere Sentient Planets was a weird thought and not at all relevant to his current situation.

But what was done was done.

Cregan dropped down from the edge of the rooftop he had run along to get to this point, landing gracefully with an open hand held up against the lightning that sprang from the Exile woman's fingertips. He didn't even need to redirect the lightning, he just absorbed it and stood up in the face of her charge, his cyan lightsaber springing to life in his right hand as he stood between the Exile woman and the young male Jedi.

He threw up a wave of Force energy, a Force Push over a wide area, to push her backwards as he addressed his fellow Jedi,

"Off you go now brother - the regular docking bay, make sure to lock the ship until I return okay?" he blindly tossed a set of keys backwards at the other Jedi, which were caught, "I'll be along later. Just going to have a little chat with this Exile."

He tuned out the Jedi as he gave an affirmative noise before hopping away, leaving Cregan and the Exile woman alone in the alleyway. Twirling his lightsaber in a defensive pattern, he grinned at her,

"Evening!" he greeted her with a jaunty little wave of his free hand, "Don't suppose you want to come quietly do you? Maybe have a little chat? Please don't tell me you're one of those Exiles who doesn't chat..."

It was, quite frankly, shocking when another Jedi jumped in front of her and sent her flying back. And she was starting to get sick of pushes. Last time she was pushed it was into a wall by Siris, when he got mad and wanted to teach her a lesson. Her eyes began to burn with anger as she hit the ground and slid to a painful stop, grunting somewhat and gritting her teeth.

By the time she stopped her lightsaber had went out. She pushed herself up. Stumbling to her feet to reignite her saber right away, half expecting the Jedi to be attacking her again. It was then that the power of this Jedi hit hear like a truck. She had never felt someone this powerful. Never. It took her aback, shaking most of the anger out of her and replacing it with fear.

Ruelle took shook her head somewhat to make sure she hadn't just took a blow to the head and was dreaming this. But she wasn't. She held up her lightsaber and pointed it at him, even though she knew she didn't stand a chance against him.

However when he started to talk to her, she felt her anger start to come back and she couldn't control herself...

"We don't have anything to talk about, Jedi," she answered coolly, the word Jedi emphasized to show her distaste. "Don't start spouting your monk none sense about the light side at me, you'll just waste both our time." And she truly believed her words. They weren't a subtle call for help. She wasn't looking to be saved from yet another cruel master backing her into submission. No. She deserved the pain, the anger, and it gave her strength. There was no other path for her because she wouldn't know which way to go besides the one she was on. As far as she was concerned, she only had one path.

That and she had to run because she stood no chance against this Jedi. Plus if she ran... she might be able to go around this Jedi and still kill the other one. Backpedaling slowly, she spoke up once more, "But... I'll leave peacefully... we don't need to fight." She was trying to think of some trick she could pull to get out of her but she was drawing a black.

She was a lively one wasn't she?

Certainly seemed to have a lot of energy and seemed to be determined to hate him but that was honestly expected - it wasn't THAT often that people found themselves liking him despite everything after all. Sometimes people really did just hate him and he would just have to roll with it. He grinned a little bit when she stressed his title,

"Oh come on now - I'm sure we can find something to talk about. My name for example... it's not 'Jedi'. It's Jedi Master Cregan Doldan." he informed her, his smile taking on a bit of an edge as he showed some more teeth, "Are you sure you want to try and test me rather than have a lovely chat little girl?"

She didn't seem like the type to be doubting but that was to be expected - not every Exile had doubts about their chosen path and some did but managed to appear otherwise. He raised an eyebrow as she mentioned that she would leave peacefully,

"Is this the part where you run off round the side and try and kill that poor young man while I'm supposed to just stand here feeling like a 'good guy' because we didn't fight?"

He laughed a little bit, pointing his lightsaber at her,

"I like you - you're a funny one." he declared with a grin, "The kid? He's going to be safely away from here and if you want to change that you're going to have to go through me. Or I can chase you through these streets like a loth-wolf after a loth-cat... what do you say, eh?"
