The Midway landed in the water near the northern pier of the city. The Alpha Site as he currently called the base since the planet had no name and the signs of life that was once on the planet were small destroyed cities something could be found on the main land. Hibirar stepped out onto the pier area that was big enough to land several Tal class destroyers and even the midway but currently there were supply crates and refit cranes on the pier an impromptu refit yard.

A trooper stepped onto the pier and ran towards the admiral "Admiral we weren't expecting you back for several days the Plasma cannon prototype isn't ready yet and we only just recently finished construction of the last sections of the city."

"Relax my friend I'm not here on business just some RnR if you will, maybe help out for a bit, with the last bit of construction efforts." Hibirar said to the man as the two walked back towards the building the man came from

"I see well we are happy to report our long range sensors are operation as well as most of the bases defenses." the man said keying the airlock door and they stepped into the building which looked like a tram station. They boarded a tram and headed towards the central tower.

"Well that's good to hear the shields, and AA defenses?"

"Shield test is scheduled at 1500 today, weapon placements are being finalized and the last of the furnishings should also be ready so we can start housing civilians and get things fully running as the last refuge should things go bad for our new colonies."

"Well with the peace talks with the chiss under way hopefully this will turn into just a nice out of the way RnR base if the war ever ends with the empire."

the enginer laughed "Then this will be one of the most defended tourist traps in the galaxy."

"That it will." Hibirar said with a chuckle and took a seat it be about fifteen twenty minutes before they arrived at the central tower.

 

[Crim]

Eire's ship, Gamma-1, a Nova-Class starship circled around the construct. Technically, its construction wasn't done. The hyperdrive had a limited life on it and the stealth engines, along with most of the weapons, had yet to be fitted. The ship was bland; it hadn't been painted yet. Still, the sleek ship was magnificent.

Slowing down, Eire felt a kick in the left thrusters. Not fatal, but it did need tweaking. Gamma-1 landed on a pad suited for the ship and Eire stepped out. She had heard of a construct in the Unknown Regions like Ahto City, but she never expected it to rival the scenic city.

"Not bad. I wonder if they'll let me buy some property here."

The central tower looked magnificent and the view must be spectacular. Eire boarded a tram to the central tower to check it out.

The tram stopped at the central tower station as Hibirar and his escort stepped off, the tram and headed for a lift. "I'll show you the command center." The engineer said as the two stepped on.

"Lead on, I am impressed you got the city built withing a few months way ahead of my original estimates for this facility to be done."

"Well we've been working around the clock when one shift went off another took its place. We knew we needed to get homes built for our refuges fast."

"Its admirable work and I'm impressed with how fast the job had been done." Hibirar said as the lift stopped and the doors opened to a multi-tired room.

Spoiler: Command center

Hibirar noticed the names written on the stairs. "Who are they?"

"Those names are those who died in the construction of the city like any big project there were bound to be some accidents."

Hibirar was about to speak when another engineer came down from the command area. "Admiral, Cheif I thought I would inform you a ship touched down a few minutes ago Registered as friendly but the design was unknown, its touched down on the western pier."

"We can see it from the balcony." the chief said leading Hibirar up the stairs and out some doors onto the balcony that looked out onto at least three of the five piers.

"Defiantly looks like one of the prototypes reason why they landed?"

"seems there Hyper drives still need some Calibrations."

"I can see why.....From here it seems the ship isn't complete, it seems to be missing several hull plates and sections on it ventral section who in there right mind would take a vessel out incomplete?"

"Tram logs show the commander of the vessel is on there way to the central tower. I can send someone to fetch them and bring them up here if you want to ask them yourself."

"Alright Chief is it alright I use the conference room?"

"By all means admiral."

one of the engineers in the area of the tram platform was radioed down to escort Erie to the CnC level once her tram arrived.

Eire marveled at the construct and the view from the tram. It sure was a relaxing change from the swamp worlds she had recently been visiting. As the tram slowed down, Eire saw guards waiting for her. Stepping out of the tram, Eire nodded politely and said, "Afternoon, gentlemen. Can I help you?"

"Yes ma'am we've been asked to escort you to the conference room Admiral Parijir would like to have a word with you." one of the guards said to the woman. Pointing towards the turbo lift. "If you would Ma'am?"

Hibirar sat in the conferance room as an operations officer walked up to him with a pad with registry data for the vessel and its CO Eire Willamina Skirata. Hibirar smirked one of the Strays huh Well this will be unfortunate especially after what happened to her adoptive mother and most of Chai La he thought flipping through the information. "Gama-1 stealth Destroyer not as heavily stealthed as the Shadow class but can run undetected as long as no one looks out a window the concept is sound, and mostly forward facing weapons so a surprise attack vessel. Well once its shake down data gets filed can't tell if it'll be picked up or not, for production." he said out loud still going over the information, waiting on there guest to arrive.

Eire walked into the admiral's office. She heard him speaking the details about the ship aloud, so Eire smirked. She wanted to point out what the stealth engine could do, but eavesdropping is frowned upon. Eire just walked into the office calmly and said, "Good afternoon, sir," shaking the admiral's hand.

"Ah captain I was surprised to see another ship moored here this base is quite a trek off the beaten path, what brings you here. Also I'm sorry to hear what happened to Alison and the rest of Chai La I was the squads CO for some time before Mandalore moved them to a more front line position." Hibirar said motioning for Eire to take a seat, across from him at the conference table.

 

[Crim]

Eire took a seat and said, "She was a good woman. I'll miss her, though I didn't spend that much time with Chai La. Too big." Crossing her legs, Eire said, "This is an impressive construct. What exactly is the intended purpose?"

"I understand, though this place is Mostly meant as a safe haven should something far worse than the Exodus occur and force the Mandalorian people towards extinction its going to be a colony with a few development labs and moorings for ships to be repaired and re-fit a safe harbor if you will still coming up for a name for the colony at the moment but right now we all just call it the Alpha site." Hibirar said with a smile, "hopefully in a few weeks the main land colony can begin construction."

 

[Crim]

Eire twiddled her thumbs. "That brings me to my next question. What is the staff level here and can I buy a private docking space here?"

 

[Arm514ve]

"I can't promise private docking as most of the bays will be meant for re-fits and construction, but I can promise priority docking clearance. As for the Staff level it'll be Mandalorian Civilian ran if you can call anyone in our culture civilian with a military second in command and advisory only allowed to take command in extreme of situations. At the moment though I would say were only at a quarter of capacity if that its mostly the engineering team and security personnel." He said with a smile grant it he was giving more information than some might like but if Eire was considering staying around a bit longer she might be the right candidate for the military position.

Eire said, "Okay, sounds good. Now is there anything I can do to help Alpha Site out?" She meant anything. If she was needed to build something on the seafloor, she'd do it.

"At the moment periodic patrols of out laying systems and if you do leave the quadrant purge the navigational records of this location its meant to be a rumor, and safe haven if the worst should happen, I want the utmost security to be enforced." Hibirar stood and looked out of the conference rooms doors at the operations area. "Not many people would be leave it but the way we are now we are in no condition to fight. Infighting displaced populace were a mess and I want this place when finished to be a beacon of hope for those who don't have a place to call home."

"Of course, Admiral. And thank you for having me," Eire said.
