Giran bounced a ball anxiously against the wall. Why had he agreed to this. Well he'd agreed to this because it was a great way to get to know this new padawan and to blow off some much needed steam... Oh, and because it counted as training. He just didn't know why HE had agreed to it. He was the most uncoordinated jedi in the temple so he'd essentially agreed to make a fool of himself in front of a complete stranger. He knew he was an idiot but he didn't realise quite the extent of the problem! Where was she anyway? She'd said she'd be here at noon and it was (Giran checked his chrono) 11:30.

Giran flopped down onto the dojo floor. Idiot. Why was he so worked up? He thought he'd got over this. He'd thrown himself into his training and he'd made so many friends amongst the order that this anxiety just didn't make sense anymore so why was he so worked up? He knew the answer to that too. It was this whole thing with Oren. He'd been a great teacher to Giran, had helped guide him and make him less of a wreck. Now though he was stuck in some dingy cell on the other-side of the galaxy. He just wished there was something he could do to help. He'd felt useless when the Hutt had originally made his announcement and Oren had been one of the jedi that pulled him out of that slump. Now he was gone and it was clear that Nothing had changed, he still needed to get stronger; he was still weak. He'd thought he was getting better, that he'd been improving. Now though it was clear he still had so far to go. If he couldn't save one of his own, a member of his new family, then he truly was weak.

He let out a long sigh, if he was going to wait here he may aswell make the time worthwhile. He pulled two wooden swords into his hands from a nearby wrack and stood up. he began to run through some of the basic niman katas. He needed practice with his new second saber and as an added benefit it allowed him to straighten out his thoughts before his partner arrived and the real fun began. I hope she gets here soon.

The nervousness and anxiety from the other Padawan could be felt practically half-way across the Temple. She stalked out, long-legged and sure of herself, and for the first time since the news of Oren's arrest she felt a little more settled. Worrying about things beyond her control were starting to wear, so when she heard of fellow Padawans willing to train and exercise within the Force, she was willing to help.

This case was a little more unique.

She stepped in right as he would have begun his katas, very much early, but apparently not as early as he was. She was dressed simply in a pair of black leggings, and a looser-fitting tank top, feet bare as she entered the dojo out of respect.

"Good form, kiddo," she piped up from behind. "But mind your knees, keep them that straight and you'll feel stiff afterwards." She loped up to him, grinning. "Giran, I presume? Nashyr Ris, pleasure to meet you. Thank you for being early, too."

Giran dropped the wooden poles with a start as Nashyr entered the room. Mi'la would probably have told him to be more mindful of his surroundings but luckily for him she wasn't here. He turned face her as she strode towards him.
"Thanks for the advice." Giran replied bending down to pick up his dropped swords.
"And no problem, I'm always early. Saves me feeling like I'm keeping anyone waiting. Oh and yeah I'm Giran thank you for agreeing to do this. I feel like I'm already fairly proficient at telekinesis but it never hurts to get better. My master says that a mastery of the basics is the most important step you can take." Giran stopped himself from going on, realising he was rambling.
"Sorry new people make me nervous, you'd think I'd get better at this whole thing after a while" Giran laughed his green skin blushing to a nice purple colour.

Giran went and put away his practice swords in an attempt to hide the blush that had overcome his face. This shouldn't be so hard he'd got over this anxiety. His nerves were completely irrational. He took a couple of calming breathes and turned back around, his face returning to its normal colour.
"Sorry, this whole bounty thing and Oren... It's just got me worked up. I'm not the most stable of jedi anyway and this has really got me all kinds of messed up." Giran confided "anyway shall we start?"

She listened to him, slowly one brow raised with arms crossed. Listening to him ramble was interesting, but she had to admit, it was a little overwhelming. But he was a sweet kid, and seemed earnest. "Your master is very wise," she nodded, giving him a warm smile. At the mention of Oren, her grin faltered slightly, and she cleared her throat, trying to bring the joviality back into her expression. "Completely understood, Giran. Hopefully, this will ease troubled thoughts."

She nodded once, snagging the ball and hefting it in the air with a small smirk, giving him a teasing wink.
"No need to be nervous. I don't bite. Much." She laughed, then paced back, allowing herself to feel the focus in the Force through her soles, up her legs into her core. Like a flow of light, warming her up.

"Want to make any wagers?" she grinned, holding her ball at the ready. "Keep it interesting, anyways."

Giran crossed to the other side of the room and placed his fit in a soresu ready position. Technically he could have done this all sitting down but there was something about moving your arms and legs that just made using the force easier.
"A wager eh, I don't really have anything to offer..." Giran said
He felt the force filling him from head to toe. The glorious energy of the universe storing up in his body ready to be unleashed at a moment's notice. It was almost intoxicating. This was the best bit about being a jedi.
"Ok if I win... You have to do more chores for a week. That includes any extra chores my master decides are necessary." Giran asked ruefully.
"Anything you want? Obviously no credits I'm broke."

"Just your time." She grinned cheekily, hefting the ball once. "I have the feeling you struggle with confidence in yourself... I think I can help, if you're interested." She shifted into position, one brow arched playfully.

"Are you ready?"

She could feel it tingling in the air; like warm rain running down her back, up through her core, channeling every breath, every connection. When she tossed the ball up into the air, it hovered for a moment as her palm held up as though cupping something invisible...

Then sent it hurtling his way, intending to smack it into his left thigh.
