Alice, Meet Katarn. Welcome to the Dark Side...

[Keinushi]

"Good," Katarn nodded. "Now, what did you learn."

 

[Zach]

Alice relaxed slightly, her body still tense in case part of the lesson was not letting your guard down, in case Katarn was going to strike again when she didn't expect it. She deactivated her lightsaber, but still held it. "Not to put myself in a position without flexible maneuverability. I might have had an advantage had I dodged the first attack some other way. Also, that there are several ways to keep from getting hit, be it to dodge, block, or counter an attack with a strike of my own. It's important to lock out my enemy's limbs and places of escape, backing them into a corner where no matter where they go, they're going to be struck," she said, replaying the sparring match over in her head.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn smiled. "Good, do you wish to go again? Or do you want to rest first."

 

[Zach]

Alice smiled."I am ready to continue. I need to be used to constant conditioning anyways, or I won't be fully prepared for the real thing," she said. She activated her lightsaber and held it in a similar fashion as to how she held it before.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn nodded and rushed the acolyte once again. This time she used the force to draw the acolyte towards her as she slashed from left to right with the blade in her left hand, aiming at the right shoulder and the attack ending at the left hip. Simultaneously she also attempted a force choke on the acolyte to paralyze her during the attack.

 

[Zach]

Alice felt the Force pull her toward Katarn as she rushed at her. She used Force Speed and dropped to the floor, sliding along the smooth surface and using her sped up momentum to go right under Katarn's attacks and under her. Just as she was meeting halfway with Katarn, she used her left hand create a barrier around her exposed area, blocking the Force Choke, slicing upwards at her master's extended arm slashing her lightsaber.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn's arm shimmered just before the blade struck it. Instead of burning or cutting her arm, the blade merely stopped an inch away from it. Katarn used the opening to swing at the acolyte's right hip.

 

[Zach]

Alice focused another burst of Force energy and used it to increase her body's movement, rolling away from the saber and coming to her feet with her left hand extended. She charged at Katarn, jumping and using the Force to propel her over her master's head. She let out a burst of lightning from her left hand right over Katarn's head, slashing down with her lightsaber as well. Both would be blocked, saber to saber and the Force from her left hand to her lightning, probably, so she kicked out with both legs just as her attacks would hit.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn flattened then rolled to the side, the lightning slamming into the ground next to her, missing her by inches. As she rolled she tucked, her feet suddenly coming under her she stood up and faced Alice, a twisted smile of excitement on her face. Something flew from the ground to her right hand. She swung it above her head as it grew it changed to a pink color. It was her light whip. She snapped it forward. The first crack aimed for Alice's left shoulder, while a bolt of lightning flew from her left hand that still held the lightsaber. The lightning flew towards the acolyte's feet.

 

[Zach]

Alice smiled back at Katarn, her heart racing. She saw the glint of the lightwhip as it flew to Katarn's right hand, and she knew it was coming. She spun backward to the right, spinning her heel as the whip went past her, and raised her lightsaber to absorb the Force Lightning. Alice's right side was to Katarn now, and she mounted her left arm just over her right elbow, shooting lightning from the tips of her fingers at her master.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn's blade caught the lightning as her whip came around again, this time attacking Alice's legs as she attacked from Alice's left.

 

[Zach]

Alice opened her left hand and created a quick Force Barrier just before the lightwhip made contact, stopping it in its path. She opened her hand and used a Force push at Katarn's right hand, rushing toward her and slashing near her left knee with her own lightsaber.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn's right hand flew back, but all it did was increase the speed of her swing as she brought the whip to make contact with alice again. This time it would connect at her stomach and she had only had enough time to close half the distance necessary to reach Katarn.

 

[Zach]

Alice redirected her lightsaber to meet with the lightwhip and she immediately pulled it back as the whip wrapped around her blade. At the same time, she used the Force to grip the hilt of the lightwhip with her left hand and pull it towards her as well. She stopped charging Katarn and began stepping backward, a significant amount of distance between them still, but using her Force Speed to help pull the lightwhip out of Katarn's grip.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn used the force t propel her through the air. At her current pace she would land behind the acolyte as her whip wrapped around her.

 

[Zach]

Alice saw Katarn leap forward and she tugged her lightsaber loose from the lightwhip, pushing out with the Force and creating a barrier between her and where it would wrap around her leg. She sped forward to the other side of the room just as Katarn landed.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn turned. Her smile wide on her face as she fell backward.

Lying on her back she let out a resounding laugh. "That was amazing! I have never fought another acolyte and had so much fun!"

Katarn blinked, raising her right hand. "You even force me to grab my whip! I don't even remember doing it!"

Katarn tossed her whip aside, its light fading as it left her hand. She then used the newly freed hand to push herself up to look at the acolyte. "Amazing, simply amazing. Another ten minutes of that and you might have scored a blow."

 

[Zach]

Alice smiled and deactivated her lightsaber. She clipped it back to her waist and relaxed her stance, glad that she'd made Katarn proud. She'd tried her hardest to keep up with her master, and to show that she'd actually learned the techniques and abilities she'd been taught. "Thank you, Katarn. I told you I'd make you proud," she said with a smile.

 

[Keinushi]

Katarn deactivated her own blade, cliping it to her belt she lay back on the ground panting slightly.

"Well is there anything else you wish to learn before your first mission?"

 

[Zach]

Alice was breathing harder than usual, tired from the sparring match. She felt slightly flushed and heated, so she took off the outer layer of her long-sleeved shirt, just wearing the plain t-shirt now. She walked over to Katarn and lied next to her, her thigh lightly pressing against Katarn's tight maroon pants. Alice wanted to say it, but couldn't bring herself to it. She couldn't keep her eyes off Katarn, especially when her chest heaved with each breath.
