"You bantha-" Kel yelled raising his hand to strike Alice.

Suddenly, Katarn grabbed his wrist. Her mouth moved forming words without sound and Kel was flung away from the two girls where he embedded a foot deep into the metal wall, the metal bending around him, and a small amount of blood flying from his mouth. He fell to the ground, sparks flying out of his body as he rolled in pain.

"This girl is under my protection." Katarn's face took on a darkness never before shown. Her eyes becoming slits and all emotion disappearing from her face. "Remember your place."

With that Katarn turn her back to Kel and walked over to her tube top and pants. With a wave of a hand and a leap into the air she spun and when she had landed again she was full dressed. Lacing up her boots she turned to Alice. "I believe Kel has reserved the room for this time, shall we meet again tomorrow?"

Her eyes had lessened in intensity, but her face was still devoid of emotions as she spoke to Alice.

Alice was unphased by Kel's attempt at striking her. She was unphased by Katarn's retaliation. She knew her master was strong, and she knew she was deadly. The only thing she didn't count on was the absolute lack of emotion in her face. Was this what awaited Alice? She thought that the power of the Bogan derived from embracing one's emotions. This would certainly keep her thoughts busy for the next several days. She nodded to Katarn when she said they would meet again tomorrow and she gathered up the rest of her clothing, falling in line next to her master.

As they left the room and the door closed automatically behind them Katarn collapsed onto the acolyte's shoulder. "By the stars that attack takes a lot out of me."

Katarn's familiar smile was back on her face. "It's a touch only force power, and it requires all my energy, but you can agree with the results, no? The face is all for show though. When one goes around bubbly all the time, there's nothing scarier than that person suddenly being completely serious. Remember, psychology is half the battle."

Alice smiled, her doubts about what she had seen put to rest. She took Katarn's arm and put it over her shoulder, wrapping her cloak around her as well. She led Katarn back to her quarters, and by that time she'd regained most of her energy. "Katarn, I was wondering if you had any missions for me. Or if there were other abilities you wanted me to learn before I started one," she said, wondering if Katarn thought she was ready for her own mission yet.

"I believe you to be ready for your first mission." Katarn smiled. "Do you believe yourself to be ready?"

Alice nodded and smiled. "Unless you believe there's more I need to learn, I think that I'm ready," she said confidently, ready to prove in the field what she'd learned.

Katarn pulled a datachip from her pocket. "Your target is Vowhn Wevnoh. He can be located on Tattooine. He has stolen some data from our archives. He is however not force sensitive and should be an easy target."

Alice nodded, grateful that Katarn had been so willing to give her her first mission. "What are my limitations? Is he to be killed? Or merely discouraged from interfering? Should I expect hired help or other obstacles under his power?" she asked, wondering if it was just this one man she had to deal with or if there was more to it. The task seemed too simple.

"His death will be satisfactory. Recovery of the data is more important." Katarn explained. She was all business as she talked about the mark. "He knows that we know what he did, so expect some resistance. Your cover is that you're the envoy for a potential buyer, so wear something classy, I have a couple throw away dresses left, and I can lend you one, I buy them in bulk so you don't have to worry about ruining it."

Alice nodded, glad that her first mission would be a task of infiltration. She instantly began planning about how she would approach her target and how exactly she would appear. "I'll need a means of transportation. Not just to the planet, but to travel from the city to wherever the deal is meant to be made. He most likely wouldn't carry the information with him in the middle of the city," she said, mostly thinking out loud to herself. She looked up at Katarn suddenly. "When does this begin?" she asked.

"Right now." Katarn smiled. "I set you up with one of our standard rigs until you get your own. It has standard hyperdrive capabilities and a speeder bike for planetary transport."

Alice smiled, glad that she'd be able to start immediately. She bowed her head in respect and went straight to the hanger, looking for the ship Katarn described. When she got there, she saw a group of Bogan slaves working on ship repairs and upgrades on the opposite end. She found the ship and got in it, a note on the pilot's seat. She read it. It was from Katarn, giving details about the mission. She exited the hangar and plotted a course for Tatooine.
