PERSONALITY :

Alistair loves his food, and will probably talk about it a lot. Sometimes he'll even compare things with food. Not a lot though. Alistair is generally quite good fun but he hates being alone with one person, he prefers being in groups of people. Alistair is quite caring, but sometimes people come across him as a douche, he never really means to be like this though. He also likes training, being trained and training others. It takes his mind off the stresses of day to day life. He will usually cook at restaurants, sometimes people call him the travelling cook. Quite often they don't. He will travel planet to planet, just to cook. Or do Jedi things, that's also very important to him. Alistair is also very impatient with people, if someone doesn't get directly to the point, that will agitate him quite a lot.

BIOGRAPHY :
Alistair was born in Naboo, he belonged to a very wealthy family and didn't really know about any wars and what not. He often would go outside and pretend to 'slay' his enemies with his lightsaber. He didn't actually know who Jedi's were at the time, he just heard stories about them from his now deceased mother. He would describe how they would use mind tricks to lure the enemy out. Alistair was absolutely fascinated by these wondrous stories, yet he had no clue how his father knew about them. One night, Alistair was awoken by screaming, he tumbled out of his bed, holding a pretend lightsaber (it was a stick) and held it out, ready for an attack. When he reached their kitchen, he found a corpse. His mother's corpse. His father was also there, he was holding a red... lightsaber. Alistair immediately panicked, turned around and ran as fast as his little legs would take him. He turned his head around, still running forward, and saw his father half crying and half scowling. He assumed what had happened as he ran, his father killed his mother, his worst nightmare. He finally came across a loading bay and a small ship. He couldn't see anywhere to go, so he just ran after the ship, the ramp was closing slowly. He had to get there and fast. Alistair knew he wasn't going to make it, but he still kept running. As the ramp nearly closed fully, he reached out his right hand and curled it into a grasping shape, attempting to 'stop it'. But suddenly the ramp stopped, he was shocked. "That worked?" he thought, he kept holding on to the 'ramp'. He finally reached it and managed to squeeze himself on. Still shocked by what had happened, he looked around the ship and came across and old man. He looked about 70, the old man grabbed tight to his walking stick and looked down at the boy. "What's this I see before me?" The old man whispered, the old man was wearing soft brown robes with a small wooden walking stick. Alistair was still unable to talk after what had happened but he could hear the old man loud and clear. "You were the thing holding down my ramp?" He asked, sternly but still concerned. "I believe you did, didn't you?" The old man continued, Alistair reluctantly nodded. Deep down he felt that he shouldn't of. "My name is Master Mari, you may call me Master. I am a Jedi, as you can see" said Mari, as he pulled out a light saber holster, he pressed a button and a blue blade appeared. Alistair was amazed, he started smiling. Mari smiled back. Mari had now assumed that he had somewhat adopted the boy and Alistair assumed the same thing. By what Alistair was wearing, Mari figured he was an orphan. So nobody would actually know he was gone. Alistair began his Jedi training at once, and he would finally be able to find, and kill, his father.

Not sure the whole "and kill his father" seems like a very Jedi thing to have as a goal.. but if it's just the initial reason for joining the Jedi as a kid and he has learned better, mostly, since then.. great.

If he joined as an already somewhat older boy and is now 17 yet is some master chef AND a knight, that seems awful young. If he stays the same skill set I'd rather see him 10 years older personally.

I feel you can have a past without some of the father details of him maybe being a Sith on Naboo with a family.. maybe he just thinks his Father did it without seeing a lightsaber. Just his own paranoia makes him run away. Then build on how he joined the Jedi and trained, finding inner peace and honoring his mother's memory by being a Jedi.

Not telling you how to make your character but it makes for a better story and is more realistic to be acceptable than what is in there now.
