BIOGRAPHY
The second son. Much was made of such a position in many a story. The conniving schemer who wished to supplant his older sibling and take their parent’s inheritance. The weaker, power hungry wolf in sheep’s clothing. One with a chronic inferiority complex, one who–
The point has been made, and the stereotypical description would not fit the young Alexios in many ways. He never grew up with ambitious dreams of lordship, of sitting on his mother’s chair– that would be his brother’s role. It was hard to want for much when you’re born into one of the most wealthy families in one of the wealthiest world’s in the wealthiest part of the galaxy. So, Alexios was slated for a career on the floors of the commerce hall, financially speculating and legally legislating his family to further wealth and prominence.
That was, ofcourse, until the boy’s abilities began to manifest. His mother wasn’t even sure of what to make of it at first, but as the conflict between the Jedi and Sith began to escalate, the woman began to plan. Staring at maps for weeks, reading updates about the ever worsening hostilities. Like much of the nobility, she had a very loose sense of patriotism, viewing the power of her own house as far, far more important than “democratic values” or “republican virtues” or “the rule of law.” Her concern, first and foremost, was the preservation and expansion of her family and it’s power. So, a scheme began to develop.
It began with the marriage of her son and heir, Andros, to Julia– the daughter of the lord Tannaras. Few still knew of their origin, but being the niece of the once intimidating Pterygas, she was quite educated on how that family had risen to a similar position as the Brentiochs and Cormonds around the rise of the first Sith Empire. Alexios was to play his part as he was quietly withdrawn from his very expensive boarding school, and shipped off to Dromund Kaas.
Over the course of the following years, the pampered boy was given an extensive education on the dark side, while at the same time cultivating the education necessary to eventually assume the position he’d inevitably be granted on the assembly. His training was, naturally, difficult, especially since he was inducted far later than many of his peers. The fact that he’d come from a cushy background in the core alienated him from a large block of the students, gravitating more towards the other elite-born acolytes who’d been sent to Dromund Kaas.
Yet even through the struggles, Alexios would survive, and even begin to thrive as he’d slowly grow into a skilled young man.
PERSONALITY
Growing up in a palace, wanting for nothing, Alexios developed a carefree personality. Despite this, the boy still carries in him a strict sense of discipline that he can call upon when the time is right. More than parties, gossip or all things soap opera, Alexios is still ultimately committed to the responsibilities his mother had entrusted him with, and the ones instilled in him by his instructors.
However, outside of training, studies, and any and all tasks assigned to him, the boy is both a mediaholic, and an amateur musician. With the frequent trips his family took to concerts and pantomime-opera performances, he developed a strong interest in the musical arts. That interest only widened as he was exposed to more and more exotic tunes during his time at the academy, eventually transitioning to a self taught study of a whole variety of instruments. Along with this musical interest, Alexios developed a keen interest in the theater arts, fed further by the friendship he’d developed with his sister in law, Julia, an aspiring playwright.
All of this, combined with an education in oratory and years of social interactions with people from all walks of life, has turned the young Alexios into something of a social butterfly, capable of flying wherever the wind blows in a situation. Be he demonstrating courtesy as the son of a noble, settling a dispute as an acolyte of the Sith Empire, or destroying an opponent in a game of beer pong as a party addicted teenager, rarely will he come off as awkward or unfit for a situation.
ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
Strength– Alexios spent most of his life in the confines of a massive palace complex, with neither the necessity nor the desire to become physically imposing. Even at the academy, he invested very little in actual strength training, instead choosing to focus more on his strength in the force, rather than physical might.
Agility– In spite of his lack of strength, the boy became something of a “greyhound” in the academy rec rooms. He could always be found running on the treadmill, cycling on an elliptical, or running through the courtyards in the early morning. His smaller size has allowed him to become quite a nimble
Social skills/oratory– raised from birth to assume a position in Brentaal’s “democratic” assembly, Alexios was trained in the proper etiquette of a noble of his station. Along with this, he has a minor talent in speech making, his oratory skill a carefully crafted technique built to sway masses of power hungry Brentaali nobles to his side. Along with this, he’s proven himself on a number of times to be a skilled personal negotiator.
Force use– discovering his abilities around the age of 10, it was only after his induction into the academy that Alexios truly began to tap into his abilities. At first, his personality clashed against some of the teachings that came with learning the dark side, but over the years, Alexios has learned how to tap into his passions to find strength. While he isnt a force to be reckoned with just yet, there’s still much room for growth.
Lightsaber combat— Having only just constructed his saber in the last few months, Alexios is, to put it lightly, a complete novice. His technique is sloppy, and against a truly skilled opponent, the boy would hardly last a few minutes, if that. His main strengths come from his agility and the enhancements that the force provide, rather than any proper technique or integrated lightsaber form.

130 ABY– Alexios is born the second son to Eirene De’jaal, matriarch of the De’jaal estates.
142 ABY– Alexios is sent to the Academy on Dromund Kaas. He begins his training in the force, before quickly picking up his musical hobbies as well.
144 ABY– Alexios is temporarily recalled home, celebrating the marriage of his older brother, Andros De’jaal, to his new wife, Julia Tannaras.
