Seer

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
His greatest strength is his deep connection to the force. Unlike many force users his species’ inherent connection to it and generations of connectivity to the force has opened their minds to the influence and guidance of the Force. While relatively untrained in orthodox methods he has, through harrowing experiences and his own practice developed his force sight and precognitive abilities that have protected himself and his allies for some time. His primary weakness is his lack of physical sight that limits his independence as non-biological objects often appear simply as outlines and his technological literacy suffers from his inability to see computer screens etc. He is relatively unskilled in saber combat, never having a formal education in the saber forms, instead he was trained to open himself to the living force to enhance his connection and accessibility to it.

GEAR:
On missions Alaric is often wearing repainted scout trooper armor for protection and maneuverability. He carries blaster weapons and vibroblades.

PERSONALITY:
Alaric is driven by a sense of duty and loyalty to the vision his parents died fighting for. Raised by stormtroopers he is uncompromising and driven by his principles. His force sight has made him wise beyond his years and often times he remains mute, lost in the force and his own mind. He is plagued by visions of multiple futures, some he lives, others he dies, this has made him somewhat of a recluse. He is slow to open up and trust others though he has a burning desire to match his vision with likeminded individuals and strives to join something larger so that he can truly strike a blow against the Sith. He has no issue grappling with the darkside. His soul has been hardened by the trials of his past and his control of his emotions is commendable.

BIOGRAPHY:
Alaric was born to Miralukan parents on the Imperial world of Aargau in the Deep Core. An era ago during the early years of the Fel Dynasty, the Fel Emperor was served by a Miralukan Imperial Knight named Solomon, a master of battle meditation and a seer of repute, he re-conquered the Deep Core in the name of the empire and for his service was granted the metropolis world of Aargau as a colony for his people. After the passing of Solomon, his people who had emigrated there built in his and the emperor’s honor the Temple of the Ancients, constructed atop Solomon’s tomb. It became a minor force reservoir and eventually the Temple was inhabited by Imperial Knights who came to learn from the Miralukans. Over a century later, two Miralukan teachers sired a son who they named Alaric.

The Imperial Knight academy at the Temple of the Ancients became well known for its staff of Miralukan force sensitives and seers who served the empire with their precognition. The Deep Core had always been tainted by the Dark Side, the ancient Sith fortress world of Prakith and Emperor Palpatine’s personal planet, Byss, were overseen by the Miralukan seers who peered into the depths of the force.

Alaric, like all his people was born with an innate connection to the force. He grew up amongst the children of Miralukans and imperial knights, sharing in adventures and mock battles in the Temple courtyard. It was an idyllic time for the young Miralukan, those days he remembered fondly.

When he was 5 years old he was revealed to be gifted in precognition when he awoke screaming in the night, having a vision of a ghost rising from a black castle. Though just a child, his insight proved to be instrumental in warning the Miralukan seers of a threat rising from Prakith, a cadre of sith cultists had taken residence, perhaps an advance force of Sith that would later crush the lightside of the force years later. A taskforce of Miralukans and Imperial Knights journeyed forth and laid siege upon Prakith, a siege that left all Sith dead and many knights and seers amid the fallen.

The Miralukan seers and Imperial Knights of the Deep Core were never at full strength again. Alaric had by this time begun his initial training alongside his peers, learning rudimentary control of the force and learning the creed of the Imperial Knights that dictated service to the Empire and service to the lightside of the force.
Alaric’s education was overseen by his parents who helped him explore and develop his abilities in the force.

As the years wore on his parents, alongside their kin became more and more anxious, sensing a malevolence that they could not pinpoint. The Imperial Knights began to feel their connection to the force begin to diminish and the Miralukan seers could no longer penetrate the veil of the darkside. As confusion and indecision set in amidst the residents of the Temple of the Ancients, Alaric was subjected to incredibly vivid dreams that showed the Temple burning. Preparations were made to evacuate, however the revelation came too late. As the sith launched their coup on the galaxy, Imperial Knights were amongst the first targeted by Sith assassins who using their stealth abilities had infiltrated the academy grounds. With Imperial forces capitulating the Academy came under attack. The Master of the academy was slain alongside many of his knights who felt as if the force had left them, the Darkside was strong that day and many of the defenders perished. As the academy and surrounding city blocks burned Alaric’s parents managed to rescue a squad of stormtroopers and together the stormtroopers and Miralukans fought their way free of the temple grounds and fled through the city to an auxiliary landing platform.

As they approached the landing platform, Alaric fainted and his parents’ stomachs turned by the sheer intensity of hatred in the force. A Sith Lord had intercepted them. Alaric’s parents resolved to buy time for the stormtroopers to escape with their only son. Using their life forces to enhance their powers, Alaric’s parents surrounded the approaching sith lord in a bubble of force energy, constraining him as the stormtrooper and their captain Rorin Welles with Alaric in his arms, ran past and escaped upon the shuttle.

As the years passed, Rorin led his squad against the Sith in guerilla tactics and Alaric proved himself an invaluable ally, using his precognition and force sight to anticipate enemy attacks and allow them to avoid their pursuers. Receiving military training, Alaric grew into a young man with Rorin as his adopted father and mentor. Today the remnants of the squad, Rorin and Alaric have heard the call of reclamation of the True Empire and seek to re-establish contact with other former imperials, join the nascent rebellion and defeat the Sith.
