Akara's Blade Suit

Akara built this suit of armor from discarded jedi robes, and quadanium steel from scrapped starship parts. If she planned on fighting the sith, the woman knew she couldn't do it without proper armor. she constructed this incredibly stealthy armored suit in what spare time she had over the last year. Her skills as a mechanic came in handy there. It was frankly a miracle no one had noticed.

On top on the armor itself, she was able to add several modifications to help her fight more on par with the jedi and sith. Scatterweave wasn't an easy material to find, but she did manage to come across some eventually. Adding a blade launcher was easy enough, as well as fixing up an old pair of jump boots. The most exotic piece of tech was the stealth field generator, something she ended up paying out of pocket for.

The final touch of the armor is the various holsters and sheaths for the Twi'lek's various weapons.

LEGALITY

Restricted. The armor is very clearly militaristic in nature, and does have an attached weapon-system in the form of the blade launcher. Many places will require her to register such a suit of armor, though most outer rim worlds would care quite little.

INTENT

Personal armor for Akara.

RESTRICTIONS
Owned by Akara.

Functions

Function 1: Jumpboots
  • This rare and expensive technology is able to propel a person up to 10 meters beyond what a normal person would normally be able to jump, especially when armored. It is not capable of sustained flight, and requires a brief engine cool-down before it can be used again (1 post cool-down). These do NOT function mid air.

  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 2: Scatterweave (Underarmor)
  • An incredibly rare and expensive material. Scatterweave is a coating that reflects very little light, making it extremely useful for sneaking at night. It also "scatters" the wearer's heat signature, making it difficult for automated sensor systems or thermal visors to get a precise fix on the wearer's location without intense scans.

  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 3: Personal Cloaking Device (Left Wrist)
  • A gauntlet function only acceptable for light or medium armor, portable cloaking devices are extremely useful for sneaks and, quite frankly, cowards who want to avoid a fight. They provide relatively complete invisibility from the naked eye at a distance of more than 10 meters by warping the light around them, but are quite useless under that range. However, one must move slowly, no faster than a walking speed, and cannot attack in any way, or the cloaking is ended, and it only lasts for about 30 seconds anyways. One's heat signature can still be detected easily. The device must be activated and deactivated by manually pushing a button located on gauntlet, and takes 3 seconds to become fully operational, a time in which one is immobile and can be injured or killed quite easily.

  • Force User Compatible?: No
Function 4: Wrist Blade Launcher (Right Wrist)
  • This forearm-mounted weapon can fire a variety of small non-explosive physical projectiles from it such as miniature buzzsaw discs, shurikens, or slugthrower slugs that deal Light damage with no other special properties other than potentially causing bleeding. This weapon has a maximum range of 17 meters and ammo capacity of 5 shots. Must be manually activated via button or other trigger. These weapons are mostly illegal in civilized space.

  • Force User Compatible?: No
