Participants: Dawn, Kes and Una

The hot day on Korriban was nothing out of the ordinary, it was something Ras had gotten used to over the time he spent as an acolyte and never really got out of the feeling for his time he was spending with the acolytes now. There were some hopefuls on this planet, people he would never have noticed as an acolyte but so obvious now looking on them from above. One of whom he saw potential in was to be in the class being hosted today.

The class was being held on the flat roof on top of the entrance of the temple. How they where to get up was for the acolytes to figure out themselves. The crusader had come up in a series of leaps but if an acolyte didn't know how to use the force to aid their jump that rout was impossible. It was a test of sorts. If you could not get to the roof you where not worthy of the time necessary to train you. The roof provided a large flat area with nothing above you making any form of acrobatics easily done and a ton of space for multiple duels to happen between the group. The only downfall to the area was that there was no cover from the beating sun. The heat would pound on the group as they worked and it would test endurance this group was capable of.

The participants he knew little about. Dawn he had seen fight before. He was promising as a duelist. Kes and Una though he knew nothing about. Weather they could handle the work they would find out.

Waiting for the arrival of the students Ras stood on the edge of the temple watching as people moved in and out of the temple doing their business wondering who might show up first.

Kes heard that a training class was happening in the academy on the last of the seven traditional forms, Juyo. He was interested in it, interested enough to go the class. Kes did not want to have another form in his arsenal, he wanted to learn the specifics of Juyo simply because he wanted to be able to counter Juyo practioners if her were to use Makashi. Kes knew that Makashi had its weaknesses and Juyo users could be able to use it. He was ready, prepared to learn this class and he predicted it would be physically exhausting since Juyo has often been stated to be the most physically demanding form. Kes heard that the class was going to be at the top of the academy, a perfect place for training yet how as he going to get there.

As Kes walked to the last floor of the academy, he knew that he would have to use force jumps and jump again leaving a small amount of time to land and take a breather. Kes believeH he could overcome this as he had overcomed larger obstacles, ones that are worse than this. He began to prepare himself, beginning to tap into his force reserves ready to begin. Kes was well aware that he had not meditated therefore he most likely would be somewhat tired.

Kes jumped on one part of a wall, and on to another for five repetitions. The constant use of this had a somewhat impact on Kes. As he reached the top of the roof, he saw a Crusader. Kes walked toward him and bowed to him.

"Acolyte Kes." he stated in a respectful tone. Kes then meditated, wanting to prepare himself for the lessons

Una had been preparing for this moment ever since she arrived on Korriban; as she followed her instructions to meet with the rest of the class on top of the temple she though about how this was her first formal training in wielding her light saber and how she was to be pitied against others who have already learned one or more forms, been given training in combat worthy force tactics, and for the most part where stronger then her.

Una glanced over to her right as she arrived at the base of the academy and saw another student scaling parts of the wall skillfully and eventually making his way to the summit of the school. As she walked over to the spot where the acolyte began his jumps, Una took a deep breath and mirrored his various jumps. for the most part things went rather smoothly until Una misjudged her jump and barely grappled onto the last part of the wall.

As she heaved herself up to the top and met with the Crusader and Acolyte she said, through a couple exasperated breaths, "Acolyte Una." and sat down beside the other student trying to catch her breath.

This was going to be a long day.

Dawn walked silently outside of the Academy's massive entrance and looked up. So that's where the class was being held...it didn't surprise him of course. He often jumped atop the massive cliffs the Academy was set in to meditate, or to just find space from the brutes he normally dealt with. He watched as he caught a glimpse of another Acolyte leaping through a series of jumps and barely managing to grab hold of the entrance's ledge in time. It was one of the sequences of jumps he had first used to reach the surface atop the entrance gate when he had first learned of the merits of the Force Leap. It had taken him quite a few tries and a near death experience or two to get through it perfectly, but since then he had become quite good at it. He also knew that there was a maintenance staircase that led up to the plateau's surface that the Academy was built into, and he was almost tempted to use it just to confound his instructor's intent and conserve his energy...but he knew the Crusader most likely blocked it off. Why else did would an Acolyte nearly kill himself in an attempt to get to class? At any rate, there was an opportunity for a much grander entrance: one that he wouldn't miss.

Taking a deep breath in and closing his eyes, he quickly made the first leap up onto the wall and soon entered a series of acrobatic Ataru-inspired flips and somersaults, feeling the hot wind rush through his hair as he neared the top. Finally, he would unholster his lightsaber Sunfire and twirl its white-hot blade around his body gracefully as he somersaulted onto the roof, his white robes billowing around him as he landed on one knee, quickly standing up as he caught a glimpse of his teacher and students.

He bowed politely with a smile hidden under his new respirator, his voice affected somewhat by the radio in his respirator as he greeted them. "That was fun...Radiant Dawn, at your service." If he had known this very same Crusader had watched him during his moment of weakness that night he fought Viole, he probably wouldn't be nearly as confident in himself. But, his ignorance gave him bliss, thankfully.

With the acolytes arriving all in the same method, force jumping all the way up. Dawn though knew of the staircase but he still chose to leap up and with that make a show of it. Not even an impressive one at that, at least not to the crusader the other acolytes may very well be intimidated by the show of skill. Turning to face the students ignoring the display Ras looked at Kes, the first to arrive. "I know who you are acolyte. Know it or not we do have records on all you Acolytes. Non the less welcome" Turning to the second to arrive Una he said "Una, if you think you will survive as a sith long not getting to the ledge as sith you are wrong. Any smart acolyte would have stepped on your toes right there calling it an accident. Your lucky these two didn't know they could do that. Il expect more of you the rest of the day." Now turning to Dawn, the punishment for the show needed to be given. "You Dawn I have seen, you have promise but that show was pointless and you do not show off power in front of people who can destroy you." While finishing his sentence the Crusader called on the force to force Dawn to the ground unable to move. "Your a failure at this point you are not strong enough to fight jedi and you seemed too no even be strong enough to fight Viole. Your attitude is pathetic and without mentoring you will die faster then Una here despite the skill you have"

Having let go of Dawn after finishing his little rant Ras moved on like nothing happened talking to the whole group. "Now from what I understand you guys may not actually use Juyo as a style of use. So I ask, what is the style of your choice and how well are you with using it? Be detailed, I want a good grasp of where you think your saber skills are at in general as Juyo is not easy to use. The style takes fast movements to the extreme. Many kill themselves trying to learn its basics.

Dawn looked at this Crusader incredulously as he began reprimanding him for nothing. For not showing off enough power. Well what did he want him to do, pick up the entire blasted Academy with nothing but a point of a finger? What he had to do to impress some of these people...and worst of all, he actually cared about what other people thought of him. He based his power solely off of how he affected others. And this Crusader was not impressed whatsoever. But though he was tempted to interrupt him just then and there, he calmed himself. It was probably just a Sith shoving around his ego as usual...as he normally did, of course, but he rarely had the insight to know he was guilty of the same fault. It would all pass over once he felt like he had inflicted enough verbal abuse.

At least, that was what he thought until he got slammed into the ground by the Force, a pained groan escaping his respirator as the back of his head smacked the stone roof, clouding his vision momentarily as his ears rang. He tried to force himself to get up as he recovered, but absolutely nothing was working. The hold this man had on him was impossibly strong...he could barely move. Even breathing seemed to get harder under the stifling aura of the Dark Side. But though he was stuck, he still craned his neck up at the Crusader, staring defiantly at him as he began his tirade anew.

"Your a failure at this point you are not strong enough to fight jedi and you seemed too not even be strong enough to fight Viole. Your attitude is pathetic and without mentoring you will die faster then Una here despite the skill you have."

As soon as he said Viole, his look of defiance melted. How did he know...how could he know...that duel was a private affair. One that had been settled with his humiliation...he was being monitored...the entire damned time! Someone knew of his weaknesses! How could he have been so foolish, telling all of his insecurities and woes concerning the Sith to a manipulative bastard he barely knew...out kriffing loud! For the entire Academy to hear!

Dawn growled in anger at himself and at this man, who knew a lot more than he should, listening as he was called a failure, and his attitude was called pathetic. Everything he spoke seemed to hurt more now that he knew more of his inner pain. "That's not true!" he yelled at him as he struggled ever harder to get free. "I have greater potential than you shall ever realize! My lungs failed me that day, not me! He would have been dead!"

But he knew that his protesting would earn him nothing in the eyes of this man...words amounted to nothing unless your actions backed them up. But the futility of his words just made him angrier. He was losing the control over himself that he prized so greatly. Once more becoming the savage he detested. But in the moment, it mattered little to him how he conducted himself. He just wanted to punish this man for his insolence...how dare he attempt to tame the Sithsun...to defile its purity. It was an action that required a reward, most definitely...a reward of pain.

He felt the Force lift up from him and he quickly recovered, albeit a bit too quickly, and he stumbled, still woozy from his head being hit so hard. It would probably look quite comical to the other Acolytes there, seeing him sway drunkenly as he attempted to get his bearings. His blind rage was the only thing keeping him from seeing how much of an idiot he was making himself. Undoubtedly, he must have been falling right into what the Crusader wanted him to do...but he couldn't care less.

As he finished the introduction to the class like nothing happened and Dawn finally regained his sense of balance, he re-ignited his blade Sunfire and stared at him with renewed anger and defiance. "No need for words, I'll show you!" he yelled as he called the Force into his body and leapt at him, his body slanted diagonally to reduce air-resistance and increase his speed, while twirling in a fundamental jung su ma, or rotation, that constituted Ataru movement. His blade whirled around him as he flew at the man, his body spinning violently, preparing a massive strike towards the Crusader's neck with all of his built-up anger and rage at the man's insolence fueling it.

Watching the young acolyte get up and activate his white blade a small bit of amusement started to flow through the small gaps Ras had recently started putting in his walls around emotions. He seemed to think eve after being taken to the ground without the slightest lift of a hand he would be able to stand against a teacher. It was a saber class for Juyo which knowing that and having seen Dawn as an Ataru participant in his records meant he was a Saberist much as Ras himself was, that wouldn't keep the crusader from using small tricks though. Playing with his food was one thing Ras had troubles stopping.

The strike came towards the Crusaders neck, a vital spot he really was going for a kill. Remembering the last student... A Gungan who tried to attack Xanthus and ended up being killed on the spot Ras knew he was capable with likely no punishment but the boy had potential and only because of that he would live another day.

Watching the swing come Ras wasted no time activating the silver blade he received from Master Xanthus to block the white incoming one. The blades both of a lighter color would make a blinding light and knowing that the Crusader would cover his eyes in his robes while swinging his second Lightsaber in a thrust to the mid stomach area. Of course the thrust was only to force the acolyte to move backwards making space and freeing the silver blade for a real strike of his own. When it was don't and the acolyte had retreated the Crusader would toss the green blade spinning horizontally before moving in to slam his silver blade downwards in an attempt to sever the acolytes left elbow.

Una was taken aback from the last few events and was about to just give up even attempting to become a Sith. First she was told she was going to die quickly as part of a beignet class, the crusader that was leading the class pinned another student to the ground with his sheer power in the force, and after said pinning the two lunged at each other like two Wamprats fighting over a piece of meat.

"Maybe I joined the wrong side." She quietly said to herself as she crossed her arms and observed the fight. As long as those two morons fought she could rest from all that jumping to get to the top of this kriffing temple.

(Sorry for not postings I was on an internet less vacation)

(OOC: I'll attempt to bring this down a notch now that there's actually enough people here for a class XD)

Oh how Dawn made a fool of himself and everything he stood for...why did he let himself get this riled up...

But that wasn't going through his head. Everything he should have been thinking about, like stopping before he got himself killed or crippled, or even something as simple as an apology, didn't cross his prideful mind. He would never be treated like this...he had promised himself a long time ago that he would never be dominated in such a fashion as his father managed to do to him again. And if only to show this Crusader that he wasn't a willing pawn or tool in anyone's game, he would continue the assault. Even though a part of him knew it was doomed to failure...he had to keep going. Once more he felt the need to prove himself, a doubt of his inner worth; however much he thought he was winning this little match, in truth, the teacher had already won.

As their blades met, he turned his head away at the light that emanated from the clash, then heard a second saber activate while he was still trying to force the Crusader back. Pushing off of the Crusader's block, he dodged to the side and backwards, just out of the way of the thrust. Then, with barely any time to react, he threw a green saber towards him. He didn't have enough momentum to dodge...so he simply bent at the knees and hit the ground, watching it pass overhead before he followed up with a powerful, reflexive Force Push in the Crusader's direction, knowing that he was in a vulnerable position. Should the Push buy him enough time, he would leap back to his feet and stare at him, anger written all over his face as he found his lungs starting to struggle to keep up with him again; he hadn't prepared himself for this nearly enough. And after what had happened with Viole, it served as a reality check; he had to calm himself down before he managed to rip his lungs open again. But at the same time, he wanted to get his point across. He settled for something in between the two.

"Such disrespect...angers me to no end...you may crush me...as you did...but I shall never bow...not to the likes of you...sick...sick imbeciles...whose only pleasure is to overpower and torture...those beneath them...for no reason...does that make you feel strong, little man?"

Kes saw as another acolyte arrived, one he didn't know and another one called Dawn. As he meditated, he was quickly disturbed by the duel that was to come and decided to move away far from physical sight so that he wouldn't be caught in the duel. "Idiot." Kes muttered. "I guess Dawn has a sense of pride after all. This is his battle, not mine. saw I wont get involved." Kes stated as he continued to meditate trying to ignore the cries of lightsaber fighting.

After hearing that it was cause for death. No. He would be punished but not killed. He would have to spend the remainder of his days with the punishment he received here and now. He would not be continuing the class either. "If you think I do what I do to feel big you are so wrong young man. I don't believing in acting without reason, my reasons are my own and I need not answer to a pitiful, disabled, pathetic thing like you. Pathetic things that say things they cant keep." It was then the Crusader would send another wave of the force crushing down on the acolyte in the attempt to make him bow. While bowed Ras would move faster then any of the acolytes would be able to see, taking out a lightsaber and aimed at the boys right hand. It would come off today. When the job was done he would return to his former place as if nothing happened and push the boy off the roof. Not so far he wouldn't be able to catch the edge and get down safely. Just clearly he was no longer part of this class.

"Now that the distractions are gone we can move on. Again from what I understand you guys may not actually use Juyo as a style of use. Una looked at the master as he made the acolyte that challenged the crusader bow before him using only his will of the force. The sheer power of the teacher was simply awe inspiring. That moment when she saw the events unfold before her, a flame ignited pushing her to one day be like the powerful Crusader who was standing in front of her.

"Unfortunately Crusader Ras I am not formerly trained in any light saber forms. I am here because I wish to learn." She calmly said as she stood up strait and tall.

Dawn growled almost ferally as the words came forth from the Crusader's mouth, and as he was forced to crumple to one knee and bow before him. With all of his might, he could not force away this crushing presence; he still wasn't strong enough. He could tell...this man was ready to close the distance and finish him...no...he couldn't...he couldn't let that happen...

For a split second, he felt the crushing force weaken. The adrenaline pounding through his blood slowed down time...if only for a moment, he saw him utilize his Force speed...a moment of weakness...he had to take advantage of it.

With a battlecry filled with anger at himself and at this man, he pushed his body backwards, forcing himself out of the Crusader's grip just as his blade came down in an attempt to clain his hand. He would miss his mark...but Dawn's clumsy dodge would cost him even more than dismemberment.

Searing pain filled his body as the silver blade gashed through his robes and across his chest. It was the first time a lightsaber had ever managed to touch him. And he was immobilized by it; shocked at himself and at the pain reaching its peak as he gripped at his chest, falling flat onto his back before he was then immediately pushed off the roof, screaming in rage and agony the entire way down. He had no idea how to levitate or save himself...all he - or rather the Force itself, thinking in Dawn's stead - could do was weakly throw a Force Push against the ground, slowing him just enough for him to survive impact; but it was a blessing more than a curse; for at the moment he hit the ground, he was freed from the searing pain coursing through him; he blacked out.

A week later, Dawn awoke in an infirmary, entirely sore, especially in his head, back and chest. He tried to move, but found himself immobilized by pain.

"Vrelax, you are safe" said an accented electronic voice that belonged to the medical droid attending Dawn. "You vill not be able to move for some time. I vas ordered not to treat you viths Kolto...as such, you must allow your body to vrecover on its own."

Still, Dawn tried in vain to move, but soon gave up as another blast of pain hit him.

Dawn found that he was able to move his right arm without being hurt, and felt his way across his bandaged and casted body in disbelief, trying to piece the memories of what had happened together unsuccessfully.

"I...he......he..." but Dawn couldn't even form a sentence. His brain was still recovering from a massive concussion.

"Vrelax...I vill put you under again. Make it easier on you."

"N...no...wait......wait..."

He fell back unconscious, his hand resting on the scar marring his chest. A scar that would serve to remind him of his foolishness; and how close he came to losing his life when he allowed his anger to reign freely over him.

(It's just my charrie bowing out. If Kes is still around you can probably finish the Juyo class in peace XD. I apologize for ruining it originally though, I just didn't see how else my charrie would react to what happened and I thought it would be interesting at first lol.)

Una watched as the Crusader struck Dawn with his crimson saber before he fell off of the temple to his doom. Watching this brief skirmish reminded her that one must show humility just as much as one shows power. Barring the events from discouraging her to take part in learning the art of Juyo, Una turned to the Crusader who just struck down a adept force wielder like one tosses away a limp rag and said, "Shall we continue, Master?" Extending her arm in a beaconing gesture while maintaining her sturdy stance of respect towards her teacher.

(I think it's safe to assume Kes dropped out.)

Kes saw as Dawn behaved foolishly at the Rector. As the powerful Crusader struck Dawn, it was safe to assume he was dead. At least that was what Kes thought. For sometime, Dawn had been Kes's ally or at least what he had as a friend. Kes felt a small amount of sadness when Dawn was killed mostly because his goals could be affected.
"Don't forget about me." he stated
(I know its a stupid attempt at trying to revive the thread. Apologies for going so long. I had a large amount of shit to do in the summer not to mention high school, etc.)

EDIT: OOC, Dawn isn't killed. I just thought he was.

The class had obviously been affected by the actions that had taken place. Both seemed unnerved and having been an acolyte himself only a short time ago he understood that the class would get no where with them, they would retain nothing from this class other then fear and respect for the higher ranking sith. Looking at the two of them the Arkanian voiced his decision "We are done. This class has been ruined by the boy. Neither of you would get anything out of your time here and I am not one to waste mine. Be on your way I want this roof to myself for a while."

The Crusader watched as the Acolytes slowly made their way off the roof of the academy. When they where gone, out of site he sat back down on the floor and had his meditation for the day in that spot on top of the roof of a building filled with so much power that even all the sith in the galaxy couldn't tap into it all.
