Zarya lent against the bar in her dress, it had been some time since she had worn something other than her armour or robes, she felt kinda naked without them or her saberstaff but the goal of the mission was to convince the more members of the station to see the benefits of joining the empire, she didn't need armour or weapons to do that though she wished she did, since she would be more comfortable in them as they drew less attention to new her new limb.

she looked around for her team member, they were meant to meet in this bar to get a plan before introducing themselves to the elite of the station, she had never met the man though she had heard the name 'The Abbot' in passing, never looking into him further as she didn't usually concern herself with knowing many imperials, so she had no idea what to expect, she just hoped that he would be a benefit to the mission and not a detriment.

Bob, unlike quite literally everyone he knew, actually quite enjoyed formal events. They provide an excuse for him to not only mingle with the high society of the galaxy, but also rub in their faces that he is just a generally uncultured swine. That, and he had a deep seated need to be at the center of attention. Because of this, he was sorely, sorely, tempted to appear to this shindig in a dress. He had been spending a lot of time with his many daughters and granddaughters in recent weeks, so he was feeling especially effeminate.

But, he was on the job, and that kind of dramatic appearance could be saved for some other Imperial shindig when he is off duty. Instead he was dressed formally, in a fancy black and gold suit. He would have been a real head turner had he been forty years younger and around a hundred and fifty pounds lighter. But, that didn't prevent him from swaggering into the room like he owned the place, a smug grin already in place as he randomly approached people offering them drinks he magically pulled from hidden pockets all over himself.

Eventually however, once he felt he had mingled normally for long enough, -definitely not when he remembered he was supposed to be with his partner when he mingled- did Bob wander over to the bar where he saw his supposed partner. With a pep in his step and a broad face splitting grin, Bob sidled up to her and said with as much subtlety as a jackhammer, "You must be Zarya! My girl I must say you are looking exquisite this evening." He gave her a look that was entirely non-sexual, merely a proud grandpa praising his beautiful progeny.

Zarya watched a rather rotund man enter the bar, he was interesting to watch as he had the confidence of a man half this his age, yet not the looks of one, strutted around like a peacock while being overly social to the patrons of the bar in what she would call a bad way, she was surprised no one complained though she did see one group politely tell him to shove off.

This is him, isn't it? she thought, pulling her palm from her face and opening her eyes to see the man approaching her, she took a deep breath before sighing and putting on a brave face. Tonight might be a long night.

How the man spoke and talked to her, reminded her of her old family butler who pretty much to care of her when her parents weren't around, more so when her father went missing. "Err thanks" she replied to the man, hesitating for a second before answering as a flash memory came back to her. "I presume you are my partner, Robert Abbotangelo, then? okay, I would like to discuss our approach for tonight before we get into it so we're on the same page before meeting our targets, how would you like to approach this?"

"Of course my girl!" Bob said in reply to her thanks. He always enjoyed complementing people, it made them feel good, and in turn, that made him feel good. He listened intently to Zarya as she spoke again, though his eyes roved over the various drinks and bottles arrayed at the back of the bar. There were a few he hadn't tried, though as unfortunate as it was to admit, he didn't really have the time to sample them tonight.

Bob smiled brightly at the Sith in front of him as he produced a flask from his many pockets and said "It would seem I am indeed your partner, you can just call me Bob! But before we get into any of that, we need some lubrication Eh?" Bob laughed, handing the flask to the girl, whether she wanted it or not. He retrieved another and took a long swig before smacking his lips in satisfaction.

"Well, the point is to make these muckity mucks think they would be better off backing the Empire right? So lets just get ourselves out there, try and find the richest schmuck here and woo him to our side. You can be all womanly, and I can be all me!" Bob said, proud of his plan.

Zary stared at the flask, considering whether to accept the offer or not, she didn't drink while working but she might need it if she was going to be working with Bob all night and a swig couldn't hurt, at least not her since it took a lot for her to get drunk with her having two livers. she grabbed the flask out of his hands and took a swig, she grimaced as the liquor hit her tongue, she wasn't an expert in alcohol so she could only guess what the drink was. Bourbon? Whiskey maybe? she didn't care she really only stuck to wine or cocktails, her tastes where sweet and that wasn't sweet she knew that for sure, she handed it back to the man, wiping what was left of beverage from the edges of her mouth.

Bob's plan wasn't really a plan more a vague idea at best which didn't exactly instil confidence in his abilities. she sighed "Okay, I'll take it to consideration but we don't need to find them, they're upstairs in a V.I.P lounge on the empires invitation, now follow me."

Zarya lead the way to a set of stairs behind the bar with two bouncers set in front of it, the stairs lead to a private bar with seven individuals formed in two groups seeming a divide between the women and men, picking up a glass of champagne from a table to the side and raping on the glass to gain the attention. "Welcome and thank you, the Empire appreciates your willingness to talk to us about a possible future of this station within the empire."

She turned to her colleague in a hushed voice "I'll take the women, you take the men."

Now, Bob wasn't a particularly stupid man. He understood the nuances of body language and vocal tone, such was a necessity in his long life of espionage and combat. They were two of the most important aspects that allowed Bob to live such a long life indeed. So it was readily apparent that Zarya thought he was a bit cookoo, and that was A OK with him. Would just mean her expression when he ultimately unveiled his many skills would be far more entertaining. At least, that was the hope anyway.

Bob nodded and accepted his flask back, tucking it away in the hidden pockets in his clothes as he gave out his usual chuckle and followed the girl upstairs. He honestly didn't know much about the people they were about to be 'wooing' so to speak. This assignment had unfortunately been a rush job for him, as he had both been piss drunk when he had received the assignment, and halfway across the galaxy. So he was content to let the Zarya take the lead for now.

He waved and smiled broadly at the rich folks of the place they were attempting to acquire as Zarya made their introductions. He laughed as she laid out who they would be talkin' too, and just barely resisted making some very sexist jokes. No, he would save them for the rich dudes he was about to have a very serious chat with.

"Sorry I'm late" Saorise spoke with a smile to the doorman at the bar, arriving on The Wheel's upper levels for a talk with its upper echelons. From everything she knew though they were eager to be on the winning side of the conflict before it even began, she doubted convincing them would take much difficulty. Still, she meant to make it as easy as possible, and making powerful people form allegiances was never entirely straightforward.

Elegantly dressed, she and her partner entered the formal space and made her way to the table.

A collection of distinguished, wealthy looking creatures beheld her. A human, with slick, salt and pepper hair, a Kel Dor with a golden rebreather, and a smarmy looking Twi'lek stared back across the table, clearly a few drinks in, enjoying eachothers company,

"I hate to break the fun, but there's a conversation I believe we're meant to be having" Saorise spoke broadly, cutting through their dialogue and gathering their attention. Saorise brushed past her companion and moved to take a seat across from them all,

"You're up" she whispered, before cocking her head to one side and facing over at the marks.

Time to talk business.
