AERAK MEDUS

NAME: Aerak Medus, formerly Ardras Korik
FACTION: Imperial Republica
RANK: Sith Acolyte
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 29
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 1.9m
WEIGHT: 91kg
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, Trained

APPEARANCE:
Aerak possesses a fair complexion. His sand coloured hair falls to his shoulders. His eyes glow a faint purple, his right eyelid marked with a deep and jagged scar. His whole body bares such marks, mostly faint, though one runs the length of his right shoulder down to his hip. His body bears a great deal of muscle, formed through exhausting training.

ATTRIBUTES:
Warrior - Aerak’s strength and constitution are something to be regarded, and often feared. His brutal strikes and ability to absorb damage makes him a truly terrifying warrior.

Loyal – Despite his brutish nature, Aerak is not one to forgo loyalty. Those few who have managed to form a bond with him will find themselves protected and cared for until the end of their days.

Old Wounds – A long fight will see Aerak slowed by pain, and conflicts spanning weeks or months leave him in incomprehensible agony. To counter this, Aerak frequently bathes himself in a bacta tank, though the effectiveness of this method has slowly worn off.

Broken - His upbringing with his father has left him untrusting and prone to violent outbursts. Whilst normally quiet and reserved, it doesn’t take much for Aerak to snap and lash out.

PERSONALITY:
Aerak was raised on a philosophy that the strongest rule over all, and that the weak are merely steps for their ascension. He cares nothing for political intrigue, spying and sneaking and toppling people with scandal. He’d sooner cut down those who stand in his path, a philosophy that few in the Imperial Republica share. And yet, at the core of all of this is a man torn between beliefs shared with the Old Empire, and his loyalty to the Imperial Republica. A burning fury that can only come from someone who hates his place in the world but can do nothing to change it. Instead, he marches forward, channelling that anger in sweet catharsis against whatever enemies the Imperial Republica designates.

BIOGRAPHY:
Ardras Korik was born of a secret union between an Imperial Agent, Haya Medus, and a pure Sith, Silos Korik. Haya left soon after Ardras’ birth, returning to the Imperial Republica. Ardras was raised alone by his father, who sensed great power within him. From a young age, Ardras was subject to Silos’ painful lectures, in the form of beatings, starvation and, on rare occasions, Force Lightning.

Ardras would later learn that Silos had promised a prominent Drast that he could produce a legendary warrior and force wielder, in exchange for titles and power. However, Ardras has so far failed to show anything outside of standard Force Sensitivity, and Silos had grown impatient. In one brutal combat session, Silos swore to kill Ardras if he didn’t defend himself. In a moment of desperation, Ardras called upon the Force and slammed Silos into the ground, nearly killing his father.

Delighted, despite his injuries, Silos began teaching Ardras how to refine his rage into a weapon. Every day he would remind his son of the Sith philosophy: the strong rule. Despite his hatred for his father, it was a philosophy Ardras quickly warmed to. But as the years passed, his frustration and anger only grew. On more than one occasion did Ardras nearly attempt to murder his father. Only the thought that his father’s power still eclipsed his stayed Ardras’ hand. His destiny was chosen, and he could do nothing but let it take its course.

One day, by seemingly nothing but chance, his mother returned to Korriban to find her son once more. Under the cover of night, they fled the planet into the Imperial Republica. There, Ardras’ talents were swiftly put to use. He became an enforcer of sorts, sent off on missions that required an iron fist rather than a gentle hand. He put down small-scale rebellions and hunted down those who would dare betray or defect. He also took on a new name, shedding his old identity and becoming Aerak Medus.

Only a few short years after his arrival, Haya was injured on a mission and soon lay dying. On her deathbed, she forced Aerak to profess eternal loyalty to the Imperial Republica, before passing. Again, his destiny had been chosen for him. And soon, he grew to hate the Imperial Republica almost as much as his father. Diplomacy, intrigue, espionage and an Emperor that ruled through birthright and not strength. Aerak could understand none of it, and yet he could not rid himself of it. Not without breaking the final promise he made to his beloved mother.

SKILLS:
Piloting: Aerak has enough skill as a pilot to fly a ship and engage in basic dogfighting, though lacks the fine skill to go up against any experienced pilots. Therefore, he flies only to travel.

Lightsaber Combat: Whilst Aerak has fought very few lightsaber wielders, his own skills are not to be understated. He relies heavily on Form IV, combining it with his raw strength to overwhelm and destroy his opponents.

Force Powers: Aerak possesses a great deal of skill in wielding the Force in combat. Aerak will use the Force to propel him forward to quickly close the distance between his target. Aerak can also leap great distances. In particularly tough battles, Aerak can also use the Force to numb himself to pain for a short time. Aerak is very capable at manipulating his enemies like ragdolls, tossing them about and slamming them into objects. His recent efforts have also seen him produce sparks of energy, in the hopes of one day wielding Force Lightning. Aerak is also practiced enough to draw out painful memories of his opponents in battle, in the hopes of throwing them off balance. However, he lacks the subtlety and grace to gently prod at one’s mind from the shadows.

Outside of combat, Aerak’s use of the Force is painfully limited. One of his sole techniques is to narrow down the location of a target through the use of prolonged meditation.
