Naboo was probably one of the most famous planets of the Mid Rim. It had been involved in several events of Galactic History, from the Clone Wars to the collapse of the Galactic Empire. Perhaps the fact that made the planet be remembered by everyone was that it was the birthplace of Emperor Palpatine. It was something that even its inhabitants wanted to forget.

Beyond that dark spot in Naboo's image, the planet was wonderful. With its lakes and fields, the world attracted several tourists, even Jedi. Leaning against a stall in the streets of Theed, Atias looked like any other tourist. He had come with a group of Padawans and Knights to spend some days on this world as part of a field trip.

Since Naboo was part of the ISC, the presence of the Jedi there wasn’t exactly appreciated. In respect to the citizens of the planet, they dressed themselves in casual clothes that would allow them pass off as simple tourists. Atias was dressed like any other teenager, while drinking a smoothie that he had brought in the same stall where he was leaning.

While the other Padawans were looking at the other stalls in the street, Atias closely watched the Knights that had come with the group. He was waiting for the first opportunity to run away and explore the rest of Theed. He didn’t want to stay being babysitted by the adults while he could see more of the city.

When he saw that the Knights were distracted with one of the younger Padawans, Atias started to silently walk away from the group. Still drinking his smoothie, the half-Morellian would join a crowd of tourists and disappear among them. Once he was away from the Knights, the boy would start to explore the city.

Zayn couldn’t deny that he was looking forward to this little excursion to Naboo. The scenic world was a nice change of scenery from the familiar Temple grounds and humid jungles of Yavin IV, and was far more laid back than the investigations and sting operations that he often accompanied Master Dolmar for. It was a rare opportunity, amidst all the war and turmoil in the Galaxy, to simply relax and enjoy a new place with the rest of his class.

Of course, the Corellian Padawan wasn’t blind to how his Order was perceived within ISC territory. It was something he had become more and more familiar with since his own homeworld of Corellia had left the Republic for the Consortium, a decision that Zayn still had mixed feelings about. It meant that his homeworld - his older brothers and parents and the rest of his home - were safe from the war with the Sith. And yet the official stance of the Consortium didn’t exactly make him feel welcome back home, either.

As a result, Zayn had opted to ditch his Jedi robes and lightsaber for regular day-to-day clothes. He wore a pair of dark jeans and grey hoodie, accompanied with a denim jacket and pair of high-top shoes. His hair was styled neatly in its usual side-fade, and he was scented with some spicy cologne.

Within minutes of beginning the field trip, Zayn began to search for an opportunity to ditch their chaperone. While he didn’t have a problem with the Knight or being around his fellow Padawans, the Corellian was far more interested in exploring the city on his own terms and seeing things for himself. As a result, the moment an opportunity presented itself, Zayn had slipped away from the group - vanishing down a side street and vanishing into the crowds of civilians and tourists alike.

By the time Atias had decided to do the same, Zayn had already visited a smoothie stall - idly drawing from a straw stuck into the bubble-lidded cup in his hand. His hazel eyes wandered around the streets of Theed, taking in the sights around him and searching for something to do. As a result, the Padawan wasn’t paying much attention to where his feet were taking him - sending him to walk right into Atias while looking straight ahead. Their collision would cause Zayn to lurch forward a bit, sloshing the smoothie in his cup and causing the contents within to spill out onto his hand.

“Shit,”
The Corellian said, glancing down at his jacket to check if any of the smoothie had gotten onto his torso. He quickly flicked his gaze up ahead, looking to see if he’d gotten anything on the other dude. It was only then that Zayn vaguely recognized Atias from their time at the Jedi Academy - realizing he was someone that he’d come with to Naboo. “My bad, dude.” He offered a small smile, nodding before looking ahead. He didn’t know if the Padawan was about to call him out for ditching the group, and he wasn’t about to stick around in order to find out.

Without another word, Zayn flashed a peace sign and continued walking ahead - hazel eyes fixated onto some of the river-boats in the canal up ahead.

While he walked away from the other Jedi, Atias looked at the stalls that were on the street. Their owners were close to them, announcing the products that they were selling. There was food, drinks and all the sort of handcrafted items. The half-Morellian had seen one selling vases made of ceramic and thought that perhaps he could buy one and send it to his mother. She would like to have these decorating their home in Commenor.

He was so distracted thinking about it that he didn’t notice that someone was walking toward him. When the two collided, Atias yelped in surprise and his smoothie ended slipping from his hand and falling on the floor. The Padawan groaned while staring at the contents of his beverage making a spot on the pavement of the street. It was sad that he lost it, the smoothie was so good.

Then, he heard the person that collided against him talk. Turning to them, Atias saw that it was a guy not older than him. The half-Morellian thought that this person seemed familiar. He remembered seeing this guy in the Jedi Academy. The half-Morellian opened his mouth, prepared to say an excuse for being away from the others, but then it hit him.

The other was also away from the other Jedi and by the way that they met, it didn’t seem that he was following Atias. The only explanation for that was that the guy was also ditching the Knights. This realization made the half-Morellian smirk. “No, it’s also my fault. I should have been paying attention.” he looked back at his spilled smoothie, his smirk disappearing being replaced by a small pout. He really should have paid attention.

Before he could say anything else, the half-Morellian saw the other Padawan walk away. Atias could continue looking at the stalls, but maybe things could be more interesting if he went after the guy. Without thinking twice, grabbed his cup of smoothie from the floor and threw it in a nearby trash can. Then, he went after the other.

Hey! Wait!” he said, before starting to walk near the other Padawan. “You ditched the group, right? I did the same. My name is Atias.” then, he noticed that the guy was looking at some river-boats. “Do you want to take one of them? I heard that someone can reach Lake Country if they use one of these and follow this river.” he smiled. He was already planning to find a way to visit this area, so having company could be interesting.
