Just to be clear on something, Arc's Charric blasts were simultaneous to Ferryn's flame. I don't think Feeryn could avoid the hit to the chest, since it's Arc's counter-action to the flame and telekinetic blow to the controls. However, it is up to A'den to moderate and describe the damage his character took - if A'den describes it vaguely, Arcturus is allowed to fill in the blanks, but not designate it.

I reviewed each of the training threads again, and it seems I was mistaken. For this, I apologize. Arcturus and I had exchanged a number of PMs about his gear, but I guess we only implemented most of it in the thread.

However, this is Arcturus's first post of the thread.

Arcturus had little to say up until the point that he was released from the chained chair. He stood slowly, relaxed, to his full height of six foot four inches. Although in his last battle he had been lightly armed and armored, today he was armed to the teeth. His full Immortal armor, head sensory tendrils and all, as well as the all-terrain weather cloak of the last fight. A Chiss Charric sat on his left leg, a saber hilt on each hip, the left one a staff. Through his Sight he could see through the walls around them. Assuming they were close enough he could find the other two duelists. But first he Saw the wall itself. It had lines of tightly woven Force strung through it like stitchwork, lattices of energy that would prevent him from simply leaving this prison at the first opportunity. And then he was engaged in conversation.

"Melhi. You are looking well. Some time it has been, since last we spoke. Come, we are civilized warriors and soldiers both." He paused briefly to relocate, moving back to the wall and leaning against it. He too was ready to counter an attack, despite his relaxed manner, but at this point he was at the other side of the room with several means of ranged assault. If he actually wanted to do some harm, he'd be attacking by now.

"I have a proposition, if you would hear it afore engaging." And then he was silent, waiting for a reply. But besides, he was also reaching his awareness out towards the other combatants, watching them. He would have to react quickly if what he had in mind came about.

[st]The bolded should simplify this issue.[/st]

I'm going to look at the Round 1 thread, to see if Arcturus mentioned it equipped on his character at that point. If so, it means he would have had the weapon from the beginning of the tournament. If not, then Arc wouldn't have been able to acquire it in between Round 1 and Round 2.

Ok, sorry for the mass confusion. Went over his duel with Andelka, and didn't see any mention of the Charric blaster in his described equipment, so sorry bro, it's a no-go.

It's up to you how you'd like to change what your character does, but the rifle would have to be an average blaster rifle if you take the same course of action.

But I don't have a rifle. 'Tis a pistol. :CSly But seriously, that's fine. I could just say 'chiss blaster' instead and edit my post.. But not right now, as I'm in the middle of something. Although I disagree about the destroyed door control. Not just because it seperates the two until Melhi opens it from his side, but because (even if it was his intent) he did not mention intent to destroy it in any way in the post. It was stated in the rules for round one: "As a dueling match, everyone in participation must rely on clear, coherent descriptions of a PCs actions. Please give attention that you detail your posts as effectively (albeit not excessively) as possible."

Clearly in the post, by reading the words, you get the impression that he closed the door with a small (by acolyte standards, mind you) force push. While it may have been his OOC intention to destroy the controls, that was not what was put down. I can only go with what's put down.

A door slamming down with a metallic thud doesn't exactly imply a door shutting.normally. But if admin say it ain't broke it ain't broke :P

Stopping by to let you guys know. I definitely won't be able to reply today (I simply have WAY too much work to do in preparation for this weekend). And, I will be gone tomorrow until Sunday evening without my laptop. I will attempt to check on my phone to write up quick replies, but my phone really hates the internet so.... :/ I can't really promise anything. I WILL try though.

You raise a good point. The tournament's rules do specify that any vague description is able to be exploited with further detail in the replying post. Because there was no actual statement of destroying the console, and instead just activating the control, Arc would be able to act on it himself.

Did Trance get a 24 hour warning?

Note: Trance, I'm sorry but you're disqualified from the tournament for repeatedly holding it up without warning. Everyone else, please proceed as if his char was knocked out, unlocking the next stage of the course.

Also, from here on out, the 48 hour rule is now lowered to 24 hours. You get a warning at the 12 hour mark, but at 24 hours, the previous action impacts.

Let's please keep this moving. It's taking entirely too long.
