NAME: Achendaur

FACTION: Independent

RANK: Unknown

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 20

GENDER: Male

HEIGHT: 5'11

WEIGHT: 188lb

FORCE SENSITIVE:
Though Force-Sensitive, it cannot be said in certainty that Achendaur experienced the full length of training. Much of what was learnt has to do with alternative philosophies and odd, middling ideology, leaving his budding power unrestrained, unchecked and quite unrealized in technique and precision. At this end, he can be considered untrained.

APPEARANCE:
Pale with shoulder-length auburn hair, and with gray eyes that meet the shade of fragile frosted glass, Achendaur is a Human male standing at 5'11 and weighing around 188 pounds. While he often adorns drab and weathered attire along the lines of dark gray robes and cloaking to protect him from the elements, the man beneath the cloth is well-kept and almost neat in appearance. Never one to keep a beard but with little time to shave, a five o'clock shadow often settles over his pallid features, near-reddened hair kept swept back and loosely tied to ensure vision is not impeded. His build is moderate- toned, sturdy, but truly standard, with lithe muscle having formed from years of suffering harsh exposure during his many journeys. Some few scars line his body, some from accidents and fewer from battle, none of which reach past his upper-chest.

ATTRIBUTES:
In his time as a student under a man who bore no fear of the dark, nor was blinded by the light, Achendaur was kept on a long leash by his master; a codeless apprenticeship, his lifestyle was one of harsh training and philosophical realization that strained his mind. From this experience, he gained many strengths:

a sturdy constitution to survive the elements[+],
a keen mind for understanding esoteric concepts and comprehending knowledge whether lost, ancient or new[+],
a skill in the use of the vibro-sword, though specifically of a single-edged long-saber model[+],
and a natural charisma that makes maneuvering through interactions with others, even in conflict, of ease to him[+].

But his training was incomplete, his master laid bare to some unknown fate; leaving Achendaur, in a manner, incomplete himself. This left him riddled with problems alluding to his imbalanced nature:

a lack of formal skill in anything but his specific vibro-sword and antiquated swordsmanship, whereupon its loss he is forced to utilize unskilled, untempered and brute-force utilization of either his hands, his environment, or his coveted lightsaber, of which he has no true understanding in its use[-],
a mind woven with hubris and unhealthy conviction, leaving him apathetic toward the feelings and concerns of others that often poisons his charisma[-],
an unstable connection to the Force which, even if he is to be trained in, will forever lack precision and focus, leaving its possible mastery to result in destructive and unintended results of its use[-],
and a certain cold, cruel and distrusting nature that keeps him isolated from others, or - worse - provokes the worst of him when opposed by those who would stand in the way of what he desires, no matter the relation[-].

PERSONALITY:
Raised in seclusion ever since he could walk on two legs, all Achendaur has known was the bitter guidance of his master, whose methods of honing his pupil were so severe that it surrendered all chance to form a basic parental bond, and the isolation of his unshared journeying, in which he always trusted and depended on himself to persevere and survive. Though charismatic around others, his knack for sociability is merely a face taught by his lost master, with beneath it lingering only a self-serving and unkind persona that cares for the thoughts and fates of none other but his own. There is a kind of urgency in his true aspirations, a tunneled-visioned persistence to lay claim to what he has sought ever since his freedom from apprenticeship. In the world of Achendaur, men are either useful to him or detrimental to him, as he has known no other way, and has expressed no genuine interest in changing this; even if he may deceive to say so, if only to further his interests.

BIOGRAPHY:
Whether Achendaur was born a bastard or noble or nobody was irrelevant from the very beginning; what matters is that whoever ushered him into this world also forged a covenant with a certain Master Ossiriand who, upon having done some great favor for his predecessors long ago, had then come again to be repaid for the accrued debt -- by taking the infantile boy as his own. He was in the sole care of this obscure Force-Sensitive master who imposed every bit of knowledge, esoteric understanding and insightful disposition he could upon the boy across fourteen years of ceaseless tutelage. From the master, he learned to question everything set before him; from the master, he learned how one could swing a sword in a manner to kill a man; from the master, he learned how evil dichotomies were, and how futile it was to choose any side, any dogma, any way other than his own.

Whilst the Master was once a Jedi, years of studying the Order's history had left him bitter and unkind, traits that were passed down to his student. Old Ossiriand spent his youth in training within the Jedi order, learning the ways of the Light. His commitment to the Jedi way faded as he studied the Order's many failures, choosing instead to adopt a more cautious approach to his beliefs. His relationship with the Force became far less polarized in the days when his hairs had begun to gray. His fear of the dark had faded, allowing him to listen and feel and seek answers from the Force without binding himself to blinding bias. Turning away from the peaceful ways of his fellows led him into studying the long lost arts of ancient warfare, he saw it as a means by which to broaden his understanding of not only the many weapons in existence, but himself and his nature. Whilst his commitment to the modern Jedi way faded, he remained a fundamentally Light sided individual, placing his faith in the Force and it's ability to preserve order and balance. Ossiriand recognized some fatal flaw in the Order's doctrines, a realization that carried such profundity that he simply abandoned his place among them, and sought his own path. He wished to pass down this light of understanding to Achendaur, to break the yolk of dichotomy, but ever since an unknown and unspoken fate had caused the Master's disappearance in the latter years of his pupil's guidance, Achendaur has been alone for four years on his own path, searching for ways to complete his training lost to one who took him to give him everything he needed, and left having given him so little.

SKILLS:
Much of Achendaur's skill has to do with discerning the mysteries of obscure lore and secrets, as well as defending himself from - or aggressing against - those who would stand in the way in obtaining such things. Though he was given a lightsaber during his tutelage, he was not given or sent to gather a kyber, nor trained in its use, but rather a type of preliminary tutoring in the use of a vibro-sword until his swift and overtly precise skill in the antiquated blade was remarkable enough to allow him to stand his ground in battle. The Master Ossiriand believed that if his pupil mastered humanity's ancient skill in the use of steel, he would later come to excel in the use of his unique lightsaber, but the latter half of this tutelage never came to pass.

Aside from this, he is thorough and adept in the arts of writing, philosophy and the absorption of knowledge such as language and physical technique -- if given training for the latter two in the first place. Because his connection to the Force is strong yet unrestrained and untrained, he lacks much control over it at all, and will remain unable to reign over it properly no matter how dearly he dedicates himself to technique and methods of focus. Beyond skills pertaining to academics and physical technique, he has moderate ship maintenance and piloting ability, as taught by his mentor, but little experience in more aggressive fields such as dogfighting. Many combative instances that involved ships had been fled from, and so from this he became adept in maneuvering through various open and enclosed environments.

GEAR:
In his possession are,

a unique, unstable and vented lightsaber that currently lacks any form of kyber crystal, and as a result is defunct until one is found applied.

a slender and single-edged vibro-longsaber, kept in a reinforced metal sheathe at his side,

a day's worth of rations and water, often gathered from habitable countrysides (if possible)

a multitude of old weathered texts, notes and maps,

and a heavy dark gray robe intended to be draped over his person to combat against harsh climates,

EXTRANEOUS GEAR:
(dedicated to greater possessions, such as ships)
In his possession is,

one standard model WTK-85A Interstellar Transport, with no form of higher technology or modifications applied aside from hyperdrive components.

ROLE-PLAYS:
N/A (as of 1/12/20).

This bio is far to vague for me to be able to approve it, but I would like to point out some of the things that need to be fixed.
- We need some more information on this 'obscure force-sensitive', if you decide to keep him as part of his story.
- If you do keep him, he cannot simply dabble in both sides of the force without consequences. Darkside use = darkside corruption.
- What you are depicting is essentially a 'Gray Jedi' which isn't something that exists at this time.
- You also mention that this Master is 'a man who favored no side, whether renewed Jedi or reinvigorated Sith", but there haven't been any Sith for 100 years.

Please be more clear when you rework this so that it is easier to review. You can tag me when completed.

Hello! I apologize for how vague the biography had been written. I actually had misunderstood some things about the light/dark dynamic in the Force (primarily how you can only be apart of one, not both), but all of this was clarified by another member. I believe I've cleaned up much about Achendaur's master, and elaborated more on his background to better convey that Ossiriand was still apart of the light, but held different views and philosophies surrounding it.

Approved!
Please keep in mind though, when it comes to his untrained connection to the Force, that even his uncontrolled outbursts cannot be considered 'overpowered' as he is a starting character.
