Ezra was on cloud nine since he received word that he had been accepted into Nubian Institute of Technology. It was one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the galaxy. While he wasn’t good enough to get into East Point like his Pops - and he didn’t bother applying -, he was pleasantly shocked to have gotten into NIT. This put him at a crossroad with his Jedi training. While he was a Jedi Knight, his progression towards Master would likely slow due to his focus on engineering and likely corporations. He always knew he would help the Order in his own way, even if that meant he wasn’t donning robes and waving his saber around.
He and Dash had discussed moving in together, but his acceptance gave them little choice except for Nubia. Dash had far more leeway on where he lived, whereas Ezra had to be close to campus. Today was Orientation Day, and Ezra was still not on speaking terms with his parents. As a result, neither were invited to come with him. He did, however, have Dash join him so they could explore here and then take in the local sights for any areas that looked appealing to move in.
The thought of moving in together made him both excited and nervous. It was a step he had never taken with anyone before, and it was a whole new level in their relationship. However, with coming on almost two years of being together, he wasn’t exactly too phased by it at this point.
Dash challenged him to dress down for this, and Ezra did his best. He stood out quite a bit amidst a sea of people wearing hoodies and sweatpants, but he seldom cared. The quarter Sephi already had people trying to crowd him, but thankfully campus staff prepared for this by keeping them at bay. He and Dash were led by a student giving them a pitch about the university, along with a group of new students walking ahead of them. All around there were people dressed as mascots, students handing out flyers for their clubs, and fraternities trying to advertise. And of course cute boys and girls trying to catch his eye. All of this was vastly different from his time in private school or the Jedi academy.
Ezra was hardly paying attention, naturally. His eyes were glued to his NalPhone as he walked, relying on Jedi reflexes and his ears to keep from running into anything.
