A walk Home

Fa left the elevator as she headed for the space port. She decided to walk partially because she had a lot on her mind but also because she had to wait for her ship to arrive. She walked along the street her mind wandering as she moved along. Although she was unfamiliar she did remember the way that she came from. Snapping out of this trance she remembers there is someone else there. Her head rises as she talks and she moves both hands together in front of her. Speaking to Lahflan who was presumably behind her.

"You were quiet throughout that meeting Lahflan. Tell me, do you think the alliance is ready for war?"

She awaited a response curious to hear from the military

 

[Ash]

Lahflan had trailed behind Fa at a comfortable distance for her, he assumed, and himself.
Her question came as a bit of a shock, not expecting to be addressed by the senator.

"Well, my lady, I personally do not believe we're ready for war- but the Alliance will defend what we feel is right till the very last breath and with that, it's possible we may have success in the end. I refuse to die." he gave her his well known and awarding smile, flashing his pearly whites in his honest smile.

His mother had made him promise not to die before her, he couldn't let her down. She'd raised him and taught him everything. He owed her at least that one promise.

"hmmm"

As she walked along she took in the new information from Lahflan. She thought to herself for a moment allowing for the conversation to once again go silent. Althought she was no person for small talk she was quiet curious about Lahflan.

"Tell me what have you experienced as a military officer?"

 

[Ash]

Lahflan gave a small chuckle, "I'm just barely a corporal, madame." he smiled and thought over all he's done during his time with the Galactic Alliance.
Despite all he had done, his mind was taken over by his bounty mission for Vel'ku.
"It's been hard at times, but it has been worth it. Became a real man, met a girl, can support my mother in her old age, and I'm able to have a respectable life doing what I want to fight for. Can't get much better."
He left out a small few details, being that 'girl' was Vel'ku and how he'd been useless and horrible until the Alliance really shaped him into a real man.

Lahflan found the area they were now entering a bit too dangerous to be too far from Fa Ti and quickened his pace a small bit so she wouldn't be too far from him and she'd safe just in case of any danger.

"and do tell me Lahflan, What planet is your home?"

She had been curious about that from the beginning, as to why and to what ends even she did not no. Noticing the change in the area Fa started putting her wits about her watching people who pass by as well as anyone who would be staring at her. Perhaps she should have taken a cab after all.

 

[Ash]

"I was raised by my mother, we moved a lot. When I was about 17 we moved into Tatooine, lived there ever since. Mother never told me where I was born." he didn't care where he was born, home was where his family was. His mother was in Tatooine and his bother travelled. It was simple. His home was the galaxy.

"Yourself, Madame Fa Ti?" he asked her with a joyful smile. He took note of an unpleasant creature that was following them and had for a small while, it wasn't concerning yet. He took this moment to wrap a hand around her side and pull her closer to himself attempting to make them look more like a "couple" then two people wondering around.

The man that had slowly followed them for a time had taken a moment to stop but continued to follow. Lahflan just hoped that there was no need to worry, and there likely wasn't. But he's not taking chances.

Fa was taken aback by this sudden close movement, She almost resisted but decided not to. whatever he did was for her protection she thought to herself. She felt very awkward in that position. She tried to lightened the mood a little and gave a small laugh

"Oh corporal what will people think."

She hoped that this was for her protection and was not just a sleezy move. She started to say what she had to do out loud in order to keep her mind off it.

"Once we get back to the ship I will have to contact this upstart. Perhaps there is an alliance to be made there."

She turned her attention back to Lahflan

"Will you be joining me or are your services needed elsewhere?"

She hoped he would come. She felt not at ease with this new senator.

 

[Ash]

"I'm not needed else where. If you are need of my service- I can supply it." Lahflan smiled happily to the senator before addressing her previous question;
"Those that mind don't matter." he lowered his voice and went close to her ear, "A man's been following us for a long time. If anything happens, you're my priority as a guardian." he smiled widely and walked comfortably aside Fa Ti while keeping close eye around the perimeter.

Now was the time to ask Lahflan a question which would most likely make his uncomfortable but she wanted a straight answer from him.

"Tell me Lahflan, As a citizen of the republic do you believe in the republic or would you, if given power, have certain things changed?"

She was curious to the answer but quickly remembered to say something else in order to keep him at ease.

"Feel free to speak freely. You will not be judge and what you say will stay within my confidence."

 

[Ash]

He was taken back by her question, it was more or less unexpected and shocking.
Lahflan had not really thought about that. He stammered a little and thought on the question while still watching closely of their follower.
"Well, I really don't know come to think of it." he gave her a hearty laugh and kept their pace- the follower now more distanced from the two.

Fa continued walking. She was unable to get much information on that sentence. Still she had to make herself clear. Clearing her throat she continued.

"Than I shall have to ask that you remain silent about who we are about to visit and why. "

She continued walking just as she had arrived to the space station. She really had nothing more to say and would soon board her ship and travel to Coruscant. This meeting had interested Fa Greatly and perhaps there is an ally to gain yet she thought to herself.
