Once again the party was in full swing, with the Vesa Lounge in full use, crammed with species of all shapes and sizes in various states of intoxication, falling over one another, or fawning for the attention of their Hutt masters. Nor'baal could be seen above it all, surrounded by a haze of hookah smoke, chortling to himself as he watched a cadre of dancers flaunting around in front of him. He was awaiting the arrival of a special guest, a man who had proven he had certain skills that the Hutt very much wanted to make use of.

He spied him, and beckoned for the man to approach.

Prudii entered the illustrious, richly adorned lounge of Nor'baal. He was dressed in his grey Mandalorian armor, his EE-3 hanging from his chest in its harness, and his Verpine Shatter Gun protruding over his head, hung on his back. In his left hand he carried a standard case, meant for the Hutt. As Prudii walked his red cape, made of flame retardant materials billowed behind him. He quickly was able to find the hutt, as he was the center of the attention. The hutt, too, saw him and beckoned him forward. Prudii quickened his step and approached the Hutt.

Dropping to one knee infront of him "Vesajilic Nor'baal. I have what you requested."

Nor'baal smiled to himself as he watched the armored man approaching him from across the Cantina, this Prudii cut an impressive figure indeed, a true Mandalorian Warrior, he thought to himself as the man spoke to him. The stench of oil, and the rickety sound of robotic joints clashing together however, removed the Hutt from his thoughts, as the Droid 'Scrapheap' moved forward, ready to welcome the new arrival in his usual manner.

''His most excellent majesty, Kajadii Nor'baal Vesajilic Diori the Elder, Supreme Patriarch of the House Vesajilic, and Scourge of Kowak bids you welcome Prudii of the Clan Kyramud. Approach his sublime Eminence.'' the droid whirled on, raising its arms in greeting only to be slightly taken aback when its right arms nearly fell off. Next to it, another two droids approached, arms outstretched, one holding a briefcase, the other waiting to take a package of some form.

Nor'baal, seeing his droind had finished the introductions spoke again, chortling on in Huttese, whilst Scrapheap translated. ''His excellency offers you the hospitality of his clan, and hopes to discuss a new venture with you, that will reap many rewards like the last task you undertook for him.'' the droid finished, signally for the case holding droid to approach, and hand the case to Prudii.

Prudii nodded as the Hutt was introduced to him. He silently listened to the droid as it introduced the Hutt as if he was a God. The the Hutt slaves he might as well be, living much longer than the beings that served him and commanding armies and wealth none of them could even dream of, he was their deity. Prudii stood when he was asked to approach Nor'baal. Prudii was not typically a respectful, or polite being. He would opt to insult, attack, and disrespect those around him, though he did not disrespect Hutts. Not to their obese faces anyways. More than his desire to disrespect the disgusting slugs, he desired their wealth and power, and the chance to carve a piece of that for himself earned his respect.

He approached Nor'baal and gave a half bow, "Thank you for the honor, your excellency." He stood straight up.

He offered the droid his case, and in return took the case that was being offered to him. He hoped that the Hutt would inform him of what his reward was, as he knew it would be impolite to open it in the Hutt's company. At the offer of a new job he nodded "I'm interested."

Impressed as he was by the man humility before a superior being, Nor'baal noted how the Mandalorian Warrior eyed the case, and did not open it. Part of the Hutt was impressed, for opening it before a Hutt would be impolite, but Nor'baal was in no mood to inform the man of the payment, especially when surrounded by so many people. The fact that this Mandalorian even expected to be paid was something that would make some Hutts balk, for the joy of working for the Hutts was reward in itself. Of course, when the man opened the case later, and saw the receipt for 4,000,000.00 credits in there, he was sure that would also provide the man with joy.

The other droid stretched its hand out for the item Nor'baal was expecting from Prudii, whilst Nor'baal himself spoke through his translator droid.

''His excellency is pleased to offer you and your Clan work, in the field of glorious combat, in Imperial Space. His most wise and sublime Huttness has plans for the spice mines of Kessel, and seeks to see them return to Hutt familial control.'' the droid stated in its usual monotone.

Prudii gladly passed off the item that Nor'baal was expecting and stood, stone like, as the Hutt rambled on in the grunts and groans that were Hutteese. The Droid droned on with the translation of what the Hutt wanted. The news made Prudii grin under his helmet. The Hutt wasn't going to use him as a messenger boy this time, and instead would be using him with his preferred skills, combat. Prudii spoke, still standing still "With pleasure, your excellency." Any common being would suspect Prudii's eagerness to slay Imperials to be caused by the slagging of Mandalore and her sister worlds, as most Mandalorians were bound by honor, glory, brotherhood, and other general bullshit. Prudii cared nothing for this. Mandalore was a poverty stricken rock as far as he was concerned. He had lost nothing in her destruction as he cared for no place in particular as home. He did despise the Imperials though, primarily because they were sith, and they were narcissistic greedy whores. They would betray anyone working for them at the drop of a hat, and Prudii didn't allow for that.

"Depending on your Excellency's plans, I can rally an army."

Candar didn't have extensive experience with the Hutts themselves, he was still a lowly prospect, but that was sure to soon change. He had been invited to the opulent lounge by none other than Nor'baal himself, a Hutt whom most in the Cartel had heard of. The Hutt's business ventures seemed to be inline with Candar's as far as he could tell. There had been much talk in the Slaver 'community' about his recent purchase. Lucky bastard, whoever got that deal , Candar mused. Hopefully he would soon be making deals of that caliber.

Pushing through the piss drunk crowd, not bothering to be polite, Candar finally spotted the huge Hutt, surrounded by dancers. Candar found himself unconsciously trying to calculate the cost of them if they were slaves. His 'calculations' led him to a complicated answer, a hell of a lot. Seeing the Hutt was already speaking with another invitee. Resolving to be patient and wait his turn, Candar turned and eyed the rest of the lounge, looking for spice addicts he could turn a profit off of.

Slowly, the Hutt nodded as his droids vanished into the depths of the Cantina to store their gains. Nor'baal Vesajilic was aware of the problems of the KES, of Prudii, what Hutt in the Cartel was not? But, in a rare case of mercy, the Hutt has decided that he would not order the man seized and claim the bounty on the Mandalorians head, instead, he would offer him something even greater.

Life.

Dismissing his translator droid, the Hutt spoke directly to Prudii, in basic, a vast honor for a non-Hutt, to be spoken to in basic by a member of the sluggish species. ''Prudii, you have served me well, yes, yes you have. You are an honorable man, and I Nor'baal respect that. I know what issues you and your people face, and I want to help you.'' the Hutt said, his voice booming and deep, as he descended from his podium and stood before the man, speaking once more.

''Times are hard, and you must find it hard to get work for your people, and as such, I want to make you an offer. We will make a pact, the Vesajilics and the Keywork, one that will uplift your people and keep them safe and secure. I shall pay off your bounty's over the course of the next period of my life, in return, the KES will become, urm, Champio Che Vesajilic. You will become our sworn troops, our Pateesa, friends. Wearing our sign. Consider it a period of indentured servitude, lasting until the debt it re-payed, during which time all your people will be housed, fed, trained, educated, and treated like true warriors. Let me help you Pateesa, as you have helped me.'' the Hutt finished with an almost passionate plea.

Nor'baal could save the KES, it's members and their families, making them servants of the Vesajilic would save their lives and their futures.

Meanwhile, the rickety droid approaced the newcomer, and enquired ''Please state your business so that the mighty one might hear your plea.''

Prudii watched as the droid left them, and watched as the Hutt prepared to speak. Does he assume I speak Hutteese? Or is he going to speak basic. I didn't know they *could* speak basic....

The Hutt delivered his first bit and Prudii dropped to one knee, bowing to the Hutt. Emotion such as the respect he was showing Nor'baal was difficult for Prudii to deliver, but he did so anyways.

"Mah lorda, fa doth ba yanay." «My lord, it is an honor.» He said, returning the Hutt's compliment by speaking back in Hutteese. Having dealt often with Hutts formerly in his life Prudii was fluent in the language and wanted to demonstrate such.

He listened as the Hutt fired off his offer, which sounded more like a plea, and was far more generous than any Hutt Prudii had ever dealt with. This one isn't like the others, or at least he isn't acting so....

He looked up, still knelt, and fixed his face to one that showed astonishment and honor. Reaching up he removed his helmet from his belt and clipped it beside him, a great honor for a Mandalorian, especially one of his nature. Many wouldn't offer the same gesture given similar circumstances.

"Your excellency is too generous. The Keyworks would gladly accept your offer. I only ask that we retain our identity, to better honor your excellency. To wear the Keywork and Dagger alongside the sign of the Vesajilics would glorify you, oh glorious Vesajilics Nor'baal. That your clan is so mighty and honorable that companies and militaries of separate identities from your honorable people would wish to serve with your sign. If this pleases you oh great one I can have KES leadership to your glorious palace to discuss the terms of our servitude to you."

Watching the grovelling of the mandolorian, coupled with hearing the impassioned Hutt almost made Candar snigger. Neither of them actually cared about the other, it was all a farce, one that every person in the cartel participated in to get a leg up. Candar didn't play that game, he wasn't about to grovel, if a Hutt was worth his skills, he would take him in anyways. However, as Norb'aal continued laying down his request, it seemed too good to be true. Candar didn't know much about keywork other than that in the Cartel's eyes they were dead meat.

Lost in his grand private criticisms of the Cartel's fake face of honor and traditional values, he very nearly shot the droid in the face on instinct, his hand flying to his pistol and almost unsheathing it. Luckily he came to his senses, this was possibly the worst place in the galaxy to pull a weapon. Please state my business... How the hell should I know? I was invited here. Deciding that wouldn't be the best thing to say, he opted for a simple "Business, is my business here, I have something to discuss with Norb'aal."

<Ho Ho Ho!> cried Nor'baal when Prudii agreed to his offer, with respect that belied most non-Hutts. Looking back at the man he spoke once more ''This is good news Prudii, and of course I will be more than happy to hash out the details with the other leaders of the KES, please - do invite them here for the discussion to go ahead.'' the Hutt boomed, ordering his Protocol Droid to make time for the discussions to take place.

He turned back to the throne in which he had been sat earlier, and ordered the music to be resumed, the days business coming to an end.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Next Day ----------------------------------------------------------------------

With the morning feasting underway, Nor'baal beckoned for the Spice and Slave dealer to approach, so that he could conclude his discussions with the man before his new associates from the KES arrived to meet him later on. The Droid approached, and introduced the Hutt with the usual pomp and ceremony, before awaiting the mans next words.

Prudii nodded and turned away from the Hurt, pulling his hemry on once more. He retreated from the palace, through the drunken crowd, and made his way to the Devastator. He punched in the Comm code for Hell's Nightmare and waited to be connected to Trane. Once through he simply said "The Hutt I spoke with is interested in the KES. He's talking about paying the bounty in exchange for servitude. It sounds good. Get down here immediately with whoever you need. "

Prudii ended the line and leaned back in the pilot's seat of his ship. He would wait here until the other KES dignitaries arrived.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trane whirled around from where he stood aboard Hell's Nightmare's bridge. It had been almost a month since they had arrived here after the destruction of Sirius Primaris. Prudii Kyramud had been doing deals with the Hutts. Trane had been one of the few people, besides Mia Zyra, he had told of it. The Key Entity and Mandalorian seemed to have a slight connection. Beside the point, Trane fished his comm unit from his belt. "Mother Superior, Kyramud has made progress with the Hutts. Our presence has been requested."
Trane walked through the two doors and began making other calls as well. "Ryan, we are taking a trip to Ryloth. Kyramud has found a Hutt willing to offer us a breakthrough deal. I want you as my personal body guard."
"Ms. Kilgannon, we are requesting that you act as an emissary of the Company during a meeting with the Hutt lord Nor'baal and KES personnel regarding our alliance. Your cooperation is much appreciated."
Finally Vestar commed Mia Zyra. "Ms. Zyra. You are requested to accompany Mother Superior, myself, Cambria Kilgannon, and Commander Jacen to a meeting with the Hutts. As it stands you are our best diplomat."
He waited for replies to each of the messages he had sent. The only one of the invitations that was optional was that of the one to Mother Superior. The others were either his employees, or those that didn't realize they were his employees. The 'corporate' front of KES may have owned their Navy, but pens and flimsi-plast didn't hold up under turbolaser fire. No Trane ran the KES, and the sooner individuals like Alysa Corwall and Cambria Kilgannon realized that, the sooner things would run smoothly.
Candar had been waiting for quite some time, and was getting impatient when the slug finally motioned for him to approach. Candar intended the meeting to be short and quick. This was hampered by the droid going through the motions with his introduction of the Grand Poobah himself. Candar had to stop himself from rolling his eyes at the droid, and simply stared at it until it finished. Finally it's speech was over, and Candar had to begin the conversation.
"I was summoned at your request, is this about my business? My wares tend to interest places like this." He said the last bit while looking around at the piss drunk inhabitants. This seemed polite enough to Candar, but to others in the Cartel.... Candar simply wished he could escape with a few of his limbs functioning if the Hutt thought he was rude.
The next morning Prudii awoke in his ship. He checked his comms and received notice that the KES officials were enroute, but had yet to arrive. He stood, his joints feeling the stiffness and soreness of sleeping in his armor. However uncomfortable it was, it was certainly worth doing, considering he was staying deep in Hutt territory. The Mandalorian made his way down the ramp of his ship into a swoop bike. Once onboard he activated the remote lock on his ship and took off towards Nor'baal's palace.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

He quickly arrived to the magnificent palace and strode through the entourage of partiers outside. One Twi'lek male attempted to step infront of Prudii to offer him some cheap goods. Prudii continued walking, pushing the man practically over. Continuing his stride the Twi'lek ran after him, indignant, and pushed the warrior. Prudii whirled around, armed wristblaster leveled at the being's face. "Try it again." Without another word he entered the grand throne room of the Hutt. Motioning one of the palace aides over to him he spoke,

"I request private council with his excellency."

The approach of two guests at the same time was almost to much for the aging droid, who struggled to understand how to reply to both at the same time. Scrapheap instead chose to deal with the Spice Dealer, speaking to him in its usual monotone, and slightly perplexed voice. ''His excellency wishes to purchase your services, and also partnership in a potential deal involving the mines of Kessel.'' it intoned, awaiting the mans reply.

Briefly, the Droid looked at the passing warrior, Prudii, but was silenced when Nor'baal himself summoned the man forward before moving into one of the attached private rooms, with a handful of guards as usual. Once inside, the Hutt spoke <Are you ready to commence our talks?> the Guards, large creatures from the Rim world of Gamorr standing around the room, looking dim.

Prudii watched as the droid picked the visitor that had come before him. He waited, still as a statue, until the Hutt beckoned him forward. The massive creature began moving towards the back wall, into one of the private rooms. Prudii followed him, allowing the Hutt to stay in lead.

Once inside the Hutt posed the question Prudii had figured he would.

"I am your Excellency. The KES dignitaries will be here within the day, but we may commence the talks between the two of us. "

Adjusting himself into the recliner, the Hutt looked around the room, empty save for Prudii and four Gamorrean Guards working for the Hutt as his Guards. The blast doors to the main room sealed, and the Hutt spoke <It is good that you have come, we shall begin. I am willing to pay off your Bounty for you and all KES personnel, in return for the KES entering a period of Indentured Servitude for a period of 200 years. Furthermore I shall provide constant and steady work, accommodation, food, training and medical coverage as well as weapons and equipment which will be provided by myself. Senior members will hold positions in my court, and have better accommodation, with all KES personnel able to fight being trained to do so, with those unable to do so working in the Palace and Estate.>

The Hutt paused, seeing if the man wished to add anything to his terms, as part of their negotiations.

Prudii sat in a seat in front of Nor'baal as the doors closed. Around them were archaically dressed and armed Gamorian Guards. Though archaic, the swine like creatures were extremely lethal to less trained for than Prudii. He turned his attention to the Hutt and listened to his demands.

"I am quite assured that the KES will be quite agreeable with these terms, glorious Nor'baal, as they are most generous." Prudii paused "However I am not here to discuss the terms of which KES will become your servants, that conversation is for those that know far more about the corporation's current status than I. I do have a request for you oh glorious one. As I will be in the service of your clan for the rest of my forseeable life, I have something I would like you to procure for me, your excellency." He paused and withdrew a holo projector from his belt. "There is a ship I have witnessed in combat and I seek. However they are far more difficult to obtain than I have the ability."

He pulled up an image of the ship.

"It is a Haranov-Class Gunship. They were formerly produced by the Mandalorians, though it is my understanding that the militarized versions of them are strictly available on the black market."

He shut the image off and tucked the projector away. "I can contribute any of the credits you wish for the procurment that you need. This ship would help me better serve and honor you, your excellency."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ten or so moments later
Hell's Nightmare fell out of orbit above the planet of Ryloth as Admiral Trane looked out through the viewport. "Comms officer, request permission to orbit the planet. I wiill be back." Trane stood from his seat and departed the bridge for his dropship where the rest of the diplomatic team was presumably waiting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As the diplomats entered the throne room they awaited the droid to direct them as to where to go. The droid was quick to direct them to a back private room, where Nor'baal and Prudii were at. The party entered and Vestar quickly knelt before Nor'baal. "Oh honorable Nor'baal. I am Vestar Trane, Admiral of KES naval forces. It is my understanding you wish to bless uss through servitude to your clan?"

Welcoming his new guests from the KES contingent, Nor'baal focused his attention on the kneeling figure before him, urging that he rise with a gesture of his hand. The room was silent, the only sound that could be heard being the soft booming of the music in the room adjacent to theirs. The vast Hutt nodded to Prudii saying in Huttese <Of course, such a vessel I can acquire for you, and potentially more.> before taking a drag from his Hookah pipe.

Once again the Hutt returned his gaze back to the newcomer, gesturing toward him and saying <You have heard the terms. You are correct in that Clan Vesajilic wishes to bless your people in this way.>

Cambria practically scoured Hell's Nightmare, looking for her security escort. She stumbled across Inferno, the last Core Entity the company had, and decided he was her best bet. She stopped him as she walked past with her hand on his shoulder.

"Inferno... do you know where Commander Jacen is?" She asked worriedly, her brows furrowed.

"Follow me..." The man sighed in reply.

He led her through the maze of hallways and came to the officer's personal quarters, punching in the keycode on the door lock and swiping his security card. The door opened with a pneumatic hiss and revealed the officer sitting on the end of his bed, his eyes red and puffy. The tears hadn't quite dried from his eyes yet.

"Ryan..." Cambria soothed, walking gingerly into the room to sit next to Ryan, trying to bring him out of his doldrums. They needed him on this. "We might be able to fix what happened to us. We've arrived at a Hutt planet--" The man's head jerked in her direction, a look of shock on his face. She hesitated before continuing. "A Hutt by the name of Nor'baal is cutting us a deal. If we serve the Hutts, he will pay off our bounties and provide for us. We need this, Ryan."

The man simply stood up and nodded.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Inferno, Cambria, and Ryan filed into the room. Diplomatic protocols were enacted and all recording equipment was recording and transmitting to Hell's Nightmare by pinging off the shuttle's comms. Behind them was a hooded figure who simply glided in silently like a spectre, which practically disappeared into a shadow in the corner. Cambria dropped to her knees and gave a cortious women's bow and Inferno followed Trane's lead. Ryan, in full armour, simply stood and stared at the Hutt for a moment. He pushed the clip on his rifle's strap and it fell from him, clattering to the floor as he slowly stepped closer to the Hutt, but not closer than the others. He unholstered his sidearm and dropped it, a metal noise as it struck the ground.

He finally dropped to his knees, both of them, lacking the energy and constitution to remain standing as his helmet gave a faint whine, the environmental seal breaking as he pulled it off. His face was a contorted and ugly expression of hatred, anger, sadness, and agony. The Hutt would know that KES and its people had been wronged, and damage done had left its toll.

"Oh, exalted Nor'baal, Kajadii of the Vesajilics..." He croaked from behind the breaking emotional exterior. His head dropped as he put himself on all fours, lowering himself before the Hutt. His hatred was so furious; oh, how we wanted so desperately to see every Hutt systematically eradicated. His tears ran off the end of his nose and dripped into the dirt on the floor. "I lower myself before you, so that you might show us mercy." The word mercy was little more than a harsh whisper.

They all were silent for a moment, looking at the broken soul out of the corner of their eyes before the Hutt beckoned that they rise. The people rose, and all showed Nor'baal the utmost respect. The Hutt spoke and Cambria was quick to answer.

"Of course, Honourable Nor'baal." Her voice was sweet as it flowed graciously and articulated. "Though I do believe, if His Lordship would have it, that we have some conditions and requests, so that we might do better to serve and honour Him." She exchanged a glance with Vestar Trane for a moment as she shifted in her armour. Since the new diplomatic protocols were enacted due to the hellish SNAFU that was Roon, she was required to wear some form of security armour in the event that things went south.
