The twin suns of Tatooine blazed down upon the slave camp, various slaves of all races went about doing their duties whether it was fixing something or digging out rocks in the mines everyone had something to do. well, almost everyone Akash was allowed by the slave master to get some supplies from a nearby trading outpost near one of the cities the small, sand covered boy made his way across the sun scorched dunes to the trading post. A green Twi'lek waved him over and with a curt nod he handed Akash some supplies. Akash was about to leave when he heard frantic barking he slowly looked to where the barking came from when all of a sudden a sand colored dog knocked him to the ground along with the supplies going everywhere. "Shikata! you were supposed to stay at the camp girl!" Akash sighed as the dog cocked her head and licked his face happily earning a few laughs from her owner as well as a smirk from the green Twi'lek. Akash got up after getting Shikata to calm down he proceeded to try to get all the supplies in order.

Natures laws had been overthrown in the desert planet of Tatooine. It was a revelry of wanton violence between its denizens, all of whom have been disfigured and crippled by their attempts to live there. The gene pool of life had been corrupted beyond repair. You would only ever get to see four colours in the desert. The dominant one was the sand which pollutes the earth with an unending plain of wasteland-brown. Occasionally, reluctantly, it offered up a contorted, viper-green cactus, spiny of skin and bitter to the eye. Look up and you could see a burning, sulfur-yellow sun, resentful of life and soaking the land with its spite. And finally, the sky that formed a cloak of souless-blue.

Jedi Knight Gerard Demici had been sent there to investigate claims that the slavers had been exploiting aiding the Jedi Exiles, but he had discovered had been far graver enterprise: an organization had been devoted to the systematic exploitation of you children. There was no greater evil the Jedi Order despised more than slavery: it went against everything that they fought for. The Jedi Knight would have to intervene even without reinforcements. He had however sent an encrypted holotransmission to all the Jedi relays in the sector and hope that some of his brethren would join him in this benevolent endeavor.

Gerad Demici would confront the slavers head on, free the young bondsmen and have them transported to nearby allied systems. Their lives would be changed for the better.

The sun bore down relentlessly, as if trying to burn away what little life had so stubbornly pushed its way up through the sands. It'd be grossly understated to simply say it was hot. The word 'Hot' would never be able to describe Tatooine. Not until it's twin suns faded away.

The heat made Kynigos irritable. Trigger happy, even. Despite frequently visiting the planet, he never grew accustomed to the arid deserts that covered this forsaken planet. Behind him, marched three young men in shackles, the oldest just reaching maturity, while the youngest couldn't have been older than twelve. Kynigos was no slaver, he was however a bounty hunter. So when he caught wind of three escaped slaves, Kynigos set to work.

In all honesty, Kynigos had considered just shooting the boys. It would've been more merciful than turning them in for their bounties, but he'd decided against it. If he had killed the slaves, he'd likely have to answer to one of the numerous slave cartels.

Entering a trading-post, Kynigos found himself glaring down at a young boy and his mutt. Based off his clothing, the boy was obviously a slave, and yet there was no master to be seen. A runaway? Kynigos chuckled lightly to himself, it seemed as though his payout was about to increase.

"Where is your master, boy?" Kynigos demanded. He pulled his cloak to the side, just enough for the teenager to see that he was armed.

Akash saw a man walking up to the trading post and he looked curiously at him. His dirt covered face making him look like he had been rolling around in the sand he gathered his things quickly and ordered Shitaka to guard him. He felt a strange aura around him just like a few other men had but it was different as it was not one of anger or hate but he still felt the need to be cautious lest he get a beating for stepping out of line again. “Shikata let’s head back to camp to continue our work.” He called loudly as to get the man to not pick on him as a few others have done. No one seemed to understand the young boy’s abilities and so they would ridicule and harm him or use him to get one thing or another. Shitaka instead of obeying his master decided to approach the man and wag her tail clearly excited to see him her tongue flopped from her mouth and licked the mans hand and barked happily. Akash walked over and with a fearful look he stammered “I-I’m sorry sir. She’s just happy to see our overlords..please forgive her she meant no disrespect to you I’ll train her better sir..”

Akash looked up at him and began to speak “he’s back at camp I was told to get supplies..if you don’t mind sir I should be on my way..unless you want to go with me to the camp I’d be more then happy to help.” Shitaka went to guard her master and Akash felt a great sense of unease he then felt it again a jolt of fear went through him and he felt a small rock begin to move slightly as he stared at the intimidating man.
