The Faraway Fancy screeched out of hyperspace outside of the atmosphere of Serenno. As Dusty made the necessary adjustments to descend to the planet's designated landing strips, he couldn't help but be awestruck by the beauty of the aristocratic world. Lush forests, serene rivers, towering mountains - this was a world whose architecture blended perfectly into the natural landscape while still being impressive enough to warrant some rubbernecking from approaching pilots. Of couse, the world was so rich that Dusty doubted very much whether the Sith who ruled it would have been welcoming towards someone as lowborn as he if they didn't need him for a job.

But it was all the same to Dusty. A job was a job and, given the state of the galaxy these days and the war with the Jedi, a job with the Sith promised to be one with plenty of adrenaline and action involved, which was just fine to the Glymphid pilot. Of course, he'd actually worked with the Jedi and flew against the Sith before but that was neither here nor there. He hadn't exactly mentioned it to the Sith contact who'd put in a request over the HoloNet for a pilot and he very much doubted if the Sith would have bothered checking to see if this particular freighter name matched with any that flew in the Battle of Felucia. Even if he had, it was nothing personal; Dusty had no stake in the war between Sith and Jedi - a job was a job.

"You feeling alright Soto? We're starting our approach." the Glymphid told his newfound droid companion as the Fancy touched down on the landing pad. Soto was certainly an interesting companion but a welcome addition so far to Dusty's crew. And truthfully, the droid had been begging so much to go on a Sith mission that Dusty just had to oblige. As the ship landed, Dusty propped his feet up on the dash and waited for their contact to emerge with whatever job they needed a pilot for.

Soto sat in a corner of Dusty's ship 'meditating' as to what his next move would be. He now had a master who could teach him the ways of the dark side, so perhaps he could learn a few new force powers? The possibilities were potentially endless, though for now he had meditation to focus on.

While the droid was not an organic being, and lacked the ability to use actual force powers. Plenty of technological devices could make up for that downfall however. One such device was the droid's motion sensor, it allowed him to detect beings that surrounded him without his photoreceptors... Despite not being able to truly perceive the force, he was programmed with knowledge of what it was suppose to feel like.

Their landing in the high class port would begin with Soto standing up from his meditative state. His master seemed especially eager and asked how is apprentice was feeling. "I've meditated for quite some time my master. I am prepared for the journey ahead. Hopefully I will earn the respect of both you and other sith in this endeavor"

It was strange for Artorigas to do any business on Serenno outside of Castle Wessex, but needs must and he had business in the capital later that day anyway so might as well conduct the transaction in Carannia. Cydric had flown him across on the 'Wyvern' which now quietly stood idling being refuelled ready for the trip back to the Wessex Estate. The Sith Noble himself had left his manservant to look after the ship choosing to meet with the prospective business associate alone.

He was dressed to impress more for his meeting in the city after but it would also benefit this meeting as well. Leaving his own landing pad he walked towards the private lounge that was attached to the spaceport, this was usually reserved for high class individuals who wished to take a little private dinning before leaving off world but Artorigas had called ahead and the Noble's ties with the Sith had secured the entire lounge for him and his associates.

Taking a seat near the celling to floor windows which looked out over Carannia he ordered some red wine and waited for the pilots to make there appearance.

Dusty was unaccustomed to the level of deference and opulence that was being shown to him as he and Soto walked into the private lounge attached to the spaceport. Servants carrying drink platters and appetizers were everywhere, begging the Glymphid spacer to try and sample everything and to let them know if he needed anything at all from them. Honestly, it kind of bothered Dusty - he much preferred cantinas where there was more of chance of getting punched or shot than massaged gently by a droid. The pilot waved them all off, trying to look as though he was used to this kind of decadence to Soto. After all, the droid thought he was a Sith after all.

Their contact wasn't exactly hard to find; he was the only non-staff member sitting in the damn place. It wasn't exactly a subtle way to show off the man's clout but Dusty wasn't too annoyed by it. If he wanted to postulate, that was fine by him. It just meant the man had enough credits to waste on such frivolities, which hopefully meant this job would be a high-paying one.

"Remember, you're an apprentice. Try not to speak out of turn or make requests of a fellow Sith. Just ask questions about the mission at hand" Dusty warned Soto as they approached the table. He didn't mind the droid asking relevant questions but if Soto started blabbing about thinking he was a Sith to an actual Sith, that might prove to be a headache for all involved.

"Have to say, this is a nice setup you got here. Better than I'm used to. Name's Dusty - we chatted briefly over the net. What can my associate and I do you for?" Dusty asked brazenly, grabbing a chair not bothering to wait and be told to sit down.

The words of Soto's master made sense, and lined up quite nicely with sith teaching. Rather than speak much, he was to look menacing and dangerous as a testament to his master's abilities. The droid would conceal himself in a large dark hooded robe. His hands and feet would be covered by boots and gloves, while his face was entirely concealed by a hood which draped over him. Around his waist would be a belt which proudly holstered his training saber. Fortunately, few would know the difference between it and a true lightsaber... This outfit would be perfect for both hiding the fact that he was a droid, and appearing as a mysterious sith apprentice.

"I understand master. An apprentice should be seen and not heard..." He would respond in his usual heavy tone. In due time, the droid and his master would be surrounded by a building full of luxuries. It was a display unlike Soto had ever perceived, impressive to say the least. "The way of the sith is freedom, and this ship embodies it." the droid would softly speak.

It wouldn't be long before they reached the station's meeting room, and the pair would face their new employer. His master greeted his fellow sith in a very strange manner... It was rather, casual... Wasn't this suppose to be a more formal occasion? Of course, the droid would not speak, simply remain standing and hiding under his hood. He would only speak if spoken to...

Artorigas looked up at the strange pair as they approached, the Glymphid looked friendly enough though the one stood behind him seemed rather strange. Black hood, black cloak what was he trying to pull off? Was he perhaps sensitive to the sun? That question was quickly answered by the lack of Force energy coming from the person. It was either a droid or an enigma, Artorigas put his money on the former. Though it made little difference to him who was carrying out the job he had planned for t he pair.

The Sith Noble smiled at the pair as 'Dusty' took a seat, it was a little informal and slightly grated at the Sith, but he chose to ignore it. Not everyone was brought up in a civilized manner. "It is a simple delivery job." He said getting straight to the point. "One of my old friends from school has recently become the President of Nirauan and I of course wanted to send him a congratulatory present. The issue is, well there are two issues." Artorigas lent forward in the chair his elbows resting on the table in front of him. "Firstly my work keeps me on this side of the galaxy so I can't head over. Secondly and more importantly Nirauan is an independent world, they are looking to join the Republic so having any ties with someone from a Sith world is well a no-no for his new government. So this delivery will need to be discreet and they can't know you came from Sith Space. Is that something you can handle?"

OOC: sorry for the late post

"Should be no problem, boss man. I know a couple routes we can skip to that'll make our ship look like it's coming from Republic space." Dusty said confidently, already mapping out the route and profits in his mind.

"Course that'll take some extra fuel to get there and I would like to be compensated for it. That plus a small discretionary fee that I typically charge for stuff like this and you're getting a great service for a bargain if you think about it." the Glymphid said with a wink. Then he leaned back further in his chair and looked the Sith up and down. A man this rich and dangerous, the cargo could literally be anything.

"Can I ask what we're transporting?" Dusty
asked.

The sith's request seemed to be a simple one on the surface, though a bit odd to the droid. How did a member of the sith once befriend a member of the Republic? That was some interesting history there, but it was far from the proper time to be discussing that. He didn't want to offend the marauder after all.

Their job seemed to be a delivery, a simple task, though he would need to disguise the fact he was sith. There were only so many trials they could come across in outer space, pirates perhaps, a few republic dogs maybe. Nothing a sith apprentice and his master couldn't handle.

In a deep, almost human-like voice, the droid would speak "The task should be simple enough, though my lord does bring up a good point... Knowing the cargo would greatly assist us."

Artorigas smiled at the pair as the accepted the job. "It is simple just a kyber crystal, though this one itself is rather large. About the size of my forearm." He said holding the aforementioned appendage up as he spoke. "Have you transported items like this before?" He asked giving both the alien and the droid a look over before continuing. "You see they can become highly volatile when exposed to extreme pressures including that of space flight. I don't want you exploding on me, gives me a bad reputation." He finished with a smile.

When it came to money that was not an issue, he had the funds to cover it and the delivery of the item was worth more than either of these two could pay. "I can cover whatever costs you think is fair. And of course a bonus is always in order for those who do good service to me."

Dusty whistled when he heard new of the cargo. He wasn't much one for history lessons and, thus, didn't know a whole lot about the Sith or the Jedi but from what he did know, they were hauling some seriously valuable cargo with this job.

"A kyber crystal huh? That's the stuff you guys use for your sabers, right? A crystal this big, I hope we're not delivering to a Gorax with a giant lightsaber!" Dusty joked. In truth, he'd never transported one before but he had hauled things equally as dangerous, if not more so. He figured him and Soto were both up to the task and even wondered if they couldn't break off a chunk of crystal for Soto's lightsaber. The poor droid was trying to turn his training saber into a real one and Dusty wondered if this might help.

"Well I like the sound of that," Dusty told Artorigas "Tell your men to haul the thing onboard, give us the address and we'll be on our way"
