A path Honored, A Path Continued(Xinn)

[Darius]

The battle simulation seemed to have lasted a lifetime, most of her outer robes had been cut off leaving traditional Danteen Cuirass, it was good against physical blows, but it would not do much against powered weapons, There was too many around her. She she looked up she could feel the a huge peace of ordnance coming down anon her, using the force she pulled pieces of a downed ship to form a barrier. Her will held and after the shock-wave dissipated she released the wreckage and went back to the battle.


There were too many like her former master instructed her she switched to Juyo as Makashi was not suited with several opponents. She channeled it all, the the anger and sorrow that she felt, from the death of her father, to Matsu leaving the order, her body shifted to a stance of a graceful aggression, her cuts gave no mercy, in less than five minutes the seven agents around her had fell, breathing heavily she shut down the simulation she feel to her knees and began to cleanse her self, Juyo was a very angry form, it was easy to let it control you,and on top of that he people of her tribe were a passionate people, so Juyo was an ideal form to channel that natural rage, most people would not know of the controlled storm that was the mind of Adonia


Adonia waited there for her new master, he would take her on as Matsu had left the order, but Adonia hoped that she would soon become a knight and take on a Padawan of her own.

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv Xinn had just arrived at the Temple of Empress Teta. He knew that Matsu had not been able to convince some of her apprentices including himself to leave with her. Qyv had searched for any remaining padawans that she had had. When Qyv found Adonia Xylona he jumped at the chance to help her finish her training.

Qyv now walked through the Sage Halls of Empress Teta. It was quite a different temple from the one on Tython or even the one on Coruscant.

Qyv found someone and asked where he could find Adonia. Once he found out she was in the battle simulation area he headed there. Once there he had to look in various rooms to find her. Once Qyv became close enough he could sense a young woman.

Qyv went inside the room. "Excuse me," he said to the girl. "Are you Adonia Xylona?"

 

[Darius]

Adonia had just finished cleansing herself, as she felt the presence of a man enter the simulation room, she thought nothing of it, it was most likely a Master wanting to use the space for his Padawan, she opened her eyes to see a man not much older than himslef, she could tell he was not fully human like herself, or at least that what the galactic Alliance told her, the people of her planet were a sub species of humanity, adapting to the intense cold and darkness of the planet, Danteens could be picked out by their reflective blue eyes, and their skin which shined slightly in direct light, this was not enough for the Alliance to consider them their own species. Either way Adonia was proud of what she was, but it was nice to see she wasn't the only one around here that unique in some way.

As she rose to her feet he returned her light saber to it's hilt, preparing to leave the area, grabbing what was left of her outer robes and bags. She stopped and looked over to him as she excused himself and asked for her by name, it caught her off guard, she didn't expect anyone to know her on this planet as she had only been here a few weeks. "Yes I am Adonia..." finishing gathering her things she approached the man, "How may I be of service to you? I hope I'm not in your way."

 

[Jax Vos]

When she turned around Qyv saw that the girl was human but not normally human. If he was correct she was Danteen. Qyv smiled when she introduced herself and asked if she was in his way.

"Actually," he said, "I'm here to see you. I'm Qyv Xinn, your new master."

 

[Darius]

Adonia looked at him in surprise, he had thought herself too old to be taken as a a padawan again, even in this day and age. "There are dozens more to choose from, half my age who could use your guidance more than I...Why have you sought me out?"

Adonia circled him slightly getting a better look at him as she continued, "I have had two masters both leave me in their own way, how do I know you won't skip off like the rest?"

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv was shocked to hear that she had lost two masters by their own will. "I lost my family and my first master by death, my second master was your second master and I vowed to help those of her former apprentices that remained that had not been knighted yet to finish their training." Qyv watched as Adonia observed his features. "I swear to you now that, unless I die, I will get you knighted."

 

[Darius]

Adonia stopped in front of give as he finished talking, looking into his eyes she could see the sincerity of his words, he laughed slightly, this was a curious turn of events, "You swear...very strong words to say to the members of the tribes of Danteel."

Adonia continued to look him over, her feelings told her he was telling the truth, she would have to make a decision, "Very well...Master, I accept you pledge in in return swear that I will follow your instruction, and I will also keep you alive so I can hold you to your word." Adonia smiled as she bowed her head, " Audin! Et'shupa De'uncantha..." As she spoke her loyal pet stopping bending light around it revealing it's hulking feline body. "This is Audin, my most loyal and oldest friend. Audin, This is my new master Qyv Xinn." The huge shadow cat sat on it back legs and even then it was almost shoulder level with Adonia. it roared slightly, but as Adonia had picked up that was more of a greeting, her assumptions were confirmed when Audin ran it body along Qyvs' likea giant house cat. "So what would you like to do first master?"

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv looked at the shadow cat it was large and he could tell it liked him. "Well first off, you may call me Qyv when we're alone," he said. "I'm not terribly formal and unless we're around others you don't need to adress me as 'Master.' Second, I would like you to go over with me all that you have learned under Master Ike."

 

[Darius]

Adonia smiled at his words, he yet to meet a master who wished to be addressed as one out of formal occasions , "As you wish..." She thought of his questions on her prior training, where would she start, "Well you must understand me and Matsu grew up together on Coruscant, if it wasn't for the civil war on my planet i might have been a knight by now. AS you know she wa snot one to take traning lightly, so I have skill in Makashi, juyo, mixing them with trakata." Adonia finished by putting her things of to the side of the room, "But I have always been gifted with the force, ihave a good grasp on all of the more common uses of the force, but my tricks would be manifesting the light of the force to cut off a darksider, the ability to absorb energy, and a hibernation trance to become closer with the living force."

Adonia sat on her ankles as she began to run her hand across the body of Audin. "I have all be deeply rooted in the force, it was been my greatest asset, and in some ways it can be a terrible weakness, as i grew older I had to control my mind more and more, If I do not..well I try not to consider such things."

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv listened as Adonia spoke each of the powers she had learned. "I can't help you much with the hibernation trance but I can work with you on the other powers you have learned and I can teach you more." Qyv looked at Audin. He put his hand out to the creature and went into it's mind. Qyv spoke into Audin's mind. The shadow cat move towards him and rubbed up against him like he had before. "What I just did is called Animal Friendship when it is used it tells an animal that you are it's friend. This is a hard power and you're just learning this, but it is not as hard as it may seem at first."

 

[Darius]

"A useful power indeed, since Audin has been with me from birth I never thought to try it, but I'm sure it could come in handy with less agreeable company." she said as she began to pet Audin aswell. "I will humbly take what guidance you can offer, but I understand something i will have to pursue alone."

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv smiled at least the woman was willing to let him help her as long as he could. "Good," he said. "Now is there anything you would like to learn now? Animal friendship would work better with an animal you don't know, so we won't work on it just yet."

 

[Darius]

"Perhaps skills more rotted to the mind, such as illusions and tricks, also phase is a very rare and interesting gift, something someone as stealthy as me could have some use of." Adonia was happy to finally get back to studies, as much as she enjoyed the training on her own, she would never deny that her best work was done when she was under someones instruction. "I would also like the strengthen the powers I already have."

 

[Jax Vos]

"Alright we'll start with phasing." Qyv turned around and ran trough the wall behind him. He went out of the room he went into and back into the hallway and through the closed door to the training room Adonia was in. "In order to use this ability, Qyv began, one must have the mindset that the object is liquid or that you are a ghost."

 

[Darius]

"Flow like water..." Adonia breathed slowly and closed her eyes as she walked to the wall, as she pressed against it the metal began to bend, then suddenly snapped back as if Adonia walked into a jello mold. She was not in the corridor staring at two young padawans, she smiled and put her finger up to her mouth as she silenced them, walking back into the wall to meet with her master, "an interesting power, and a very interesting feeling."

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv smiled, "Yes, it will be uncomfortable at first but once you get the hang of it you'll do it without much effort. Now lets try Force Stealth. Close your eyes and think of shrinking your presence in the Force down to the smallest you can get it."

 

[Darius]

Adonia concentrated on the most silent thing that would come to mind, and that was her pet Audin, if something so big could be so quiet and deadly then she surly could mask her own presence. With that she could feel it,as if she feel into a pool with her eyes closed, the deeper she got the less ripples her force signature made, this had to be the most uncomfortable feeling she ever had, it was as if she detached herself from all life, it was a wrong feeling of yearning a feeling of not belonging. Adonia came out of her concentrating panting as if she was holding her breath, " That's unnatural, I wont particularly enjoy that in the future."

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv smiled, "No, it's not usually comfortable but it could save your life one day."

 

[Darius]

Adonia continued to clear her head from her last lesson, she could tell that her new master had spent a fair amount of time with Matsu, they both liked to trow you into the pool, and see if you could swim, it didn't bother Adonia much as she was beginning to think that was the best way to learn somethings. "Well what will we work on next?"

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv thought for a moment, "I'd like to test your lightsaber skills."
