"How incredibly cocky" she shook her head, letting out a little sigh. "But you're right. I mean it's an important skill and they should learn from the best" she quipped back, reached for one of his hands and sympathetically patting it.
She did immediately follow his thought experiments, picturing herself at his side right in the middle of the beautiful, rural countryside in a lovely house by a creek. It was a severe contrast to what their lives looked like at the moment, but it was a beautiful image, actually.
"Hmm...". A genuine, warm smile tugged at her lips as she leaned back. "Could you picture me working on fields?" it did make her chuckle. She had absolutely no experience with such works, but the thought was interesting. Their unbound loyalties obviously prevented them from just leaving and resettling and also, but painting a picture of a whole different life could be a fun thing to do.
The conversation then shifted away from the potential 'what if' and back onto the present where the amazing food drew their attention back to the restaurant issue. "I-". Damn it. He wasn't even wrong. Leaving a man though because his culinary preferences were weird? No, obviously that hadn't been an argument. "You were really lucky that you've been so cute all along..." she muttered quietly, taking another bite.
"I was shocked...disturbed by the restaurant even. But it's been such a fun day and admittedly I do love adventures, so no. But I simply can't get over how you found the food fairly acceptable" she answered his question, still amused by all of this. "But you know what? Next time you're allowed to choose the restaurant again". It was a risk she was willing to take for him, as it was about time they began exploring the new area.
