A New Beginning (open)

Dewbecca in an instant used the force to hurl his lightsaber into his hand and it ignited in a blaze of furious glory.

"I saw it to, I do not know what it was however but I believe we have established what it is after. Let us go forward now but you my friend"

He said this pointing at his jedi friend

"You must stay here for a moment as you are it's intended target, it ignored the entire illusion except for you, let us see what it is"

Dewbecca said this as he slowly walked into the room where the attack had happened, he honestly did not know what was awaiting him but he could not simply stand and wait at an in pass forever, hopefully others from the group would follow

'Looks like I get to show off some more,' Seven said with about the same amount of subtlety as a sledgehammer to a gong. Looking around the room with one quick glance, the woman continued into the room boldly, her silky cloak billowing around her and enlarging her silhouette, making her appear far larger and more daunting than before. After that first glance, her eyes and face remained dead ahead, not looking around for any potential attack. She either had an ace up her sleeves, or she was a complete idiot.

Mahdi's heart was pounding as he watched the heavily armed guards enter, then the older Jedi. This time he knew they were not illusions, because no hologram or trick of the eye could fire slugs at someone. Slowly Mahdi unholstered his own blast pistol. So far he was unimpressed by the rate of fire on this new weaponry, but he couldn't fault it's efficiency as far as accuracy and damage. The younger Jedi had not yet entered the building, but Mahdi knew that he couldn't wait for his prey to come to him any longer. He swung around the rafter opnce more, holding onto it with one hand, firing his blast pistol into the compressed mob that protected his target with the other. His tail led the assault, with the spike extended and pointing at his opponents. He let go of the rafter at just the right moment to fly into the group spike-first, and as he flew he grabbed and activated his vibrodagger and continued to fire wildly with his blast pistol. Alltogether Mahdi shot twice as he was coming off the rafter, and four times as he came towards the crowd, the final shot as his tail impacted with something.

Now, when a race can barely stand on the ti of their tail for even a short period of time, one would think that putting one's entire body wieght behind their tail as they hurtle towards the earth would be...unwise. If there was any interception with a solid object of substantial mass before the anticipated flesh or earth, the beast would most likely snap the lower section of their spine that formed their tail.

Of course, in the heat of the moment, Seven had no time to think of such an intelligent idea. Instead, it was sheer luck for her that she happened to pick a defence that just so happened to exploit that weakness. With a sudden surge of energy, she thust her hands upwards, palms thrust outwards and fingers pointing towards each other. A sudden shockwave smashed out from both palms as a wall of kinetic energy flew upwards towards the strange creature. There was no conceivable way for the beast to avoid it - gravity could be a bitch sometimes.

The energy impacted with Mahdi's tail and he thanked nature for giving him a tail designed to withstand such a blow (though it seemed obvious that if his tail had a spike nature would intend for him to hit things with it). He fell backwards and rolled back, moving behind an old piece of machinery. He had dropped his dagger as the energy hit him, and he was thabkful to find that it had moved just a few feet past him. Remaining in the safety of the machinery, Mahdi retrieved his vibrodagger. He started to fire his pistol from the side of the metal towards the crowd that seemed to have stayed by the door. He momentarily wondered where the other five shots he had fired went, since the energy wall didn't seem to do anything to lasers.

Dewbecca was lucky that his lightsaber was ignited , if it had not been then there was a good chance that one of the shots would of killed him rather then Dewbecca deflected them away from him but the younger jedi had not been so prepared for it, one of the shots hit him right in the leg. With a massive howl the younger jedi fell away from the scene with his lightsaber ignited just in case more shots came his way, he was the target.

Dewbecca however started forward his lightsaber ready and poised to defend himself against the attacks coming his way, sending the fire back at it's source hitting the metal.

"Who are you and why are you attacking us?" Rowed an indignant Dewbecca.
