"I agree Master. Those were my thoughts exactly."

Hal shifted in his chair leaning on his left arm.

"I believe the second line means to understand that there is much you don't know and ignoring what is around you is foolish. Do not assume anything as that can lead to ignorance in the subject. The knowledge is there, so learn to further yourself"

Hal waited for his Masters response.

"Good, very nicely put. Moving on.." Time flew by as master and pupil engaged in an animated discussion about the Code of the Jedi.

"Death, yet the Force. Has a certain finality doesn't it? So now that you are aware of when and how to carry out the duties of a Jedi, lets move on and focus on the skills you must posses as a Jedi. So what do you want to learn now?"

Hal had been in discussing the code with his Master for a few hours. He found that his basic ideas of the code were in fact correct. His Master helped him with understanding and describing the code to himself or others. The the morning already seemed gone when Vaal asked him what he wanted to do next.

"Well, I would very much like to learn how you used your staff to block my lightsaber. That is an ability that I've have been trying to work out myself but to no avail. Afterward I would very much like you to teach me something I do not know of. A surprise so to speak", Hal smirked as he stood waiting for his Master.

Aden smiled at Hal's choice, "A good choice. This technique, called as Force Weapon, can be a very handy one. The aim is to strengthen an item through the Force so that it possesses qualities greater than it normally wouldn't. Different practitioners pull off the technique in different ways, some imagine a protective Force bubble encompassing the weapon which protects it, some strengthen the weapon by channeling energy into it."

Rising from his chair he walked over to where his staff was resting against the wall. Picking it up he then went to the table to pick up a spoon and returned once more to his seat. Handing the spoon to Hal he continued, "I have used this staff for so long that I have become highly attuned to it, so it is much easier for me to use the technique on it. I would like you to try and focus on the spoon, feel it through the Force, its texture, its build up. When you become a little used to the feel of it, use the Force to pour energy into it, the Force binds everything together, so by using the Force we can augment that very bonding to increase its strength. I know it might sound a little vague but you will understand once you give it a try. Reach out to the spoon through the Force and imagine the spoon getting stronger, feel where you need to pour in the Force. Its is a matter of feeling, being intuitive, and might take some time to master. Getting a little used to the feel of the spoon will make it easier for you to pull off the technique, once you can pull it off with this then we can move on to different objects. Go on give it a try."
