A large crowd had gathered outside the royal palace of Mag Mell, with the people on it having come from different parts of Annwfyn. All of them came to watch the coronation of their new king. Inside the building, the throne room was equally full, but this time by the nobles. They wanted to fall in the graces of the monarch, the one that exposed the crimes of the prime minister.
One that was secretly a serpent, even more terrible and corrupt than the politician that now was in prison.
His name was Caerllion of Cyfnos, Sith Master and in a matter of seconds, King of Annwfyn.
It took a long time of machinations in the political game, but he finally was fulfilling part of his fate. And he could only think how boring this ceremony was, to the point of waiting with great expectation for its end. The royal regalia that he was wearing was annoying in his body and the voice of the old Annfyn that was the Master of Ceremonies reminded him of someone killing a howler from Yavin IV. It wasn’t pleasant.
Caerllion waited in the silver throne, watching while the Master of Ceremonies declared the last prayers. He had already been anointed with the sacred oil of the golden tree, the only thing that remained in this entire circus was for the crown to be placed at the top of his head.
After the crown was placed on his head, Caerllion rose from the throne while his subjects screamed ‘long live the king’ with all their voice. Now began the rule of King Caerllion, the first of his name.
—-------------------------------------------------------
The coronation had been one day ago, but Caerllion had already left the royal palace. Since he was still considered young by his species standards, tradition required that a ruling council of older Annfyn nobles would make most of the decisions until he was fifty years old. Due to that, the Sith Master had some free time to work in his true passion: his experiments.
While he walked through the corridor of his laboratory, scream-like roars could be heard in the distance. The abominations and bioengineered animals that he made were reacting to his presence in the Dark Side, but he wasn’t there to see them. He had a meeting with a colleague from Arkania.
He stopped briefly, staring at a closed door. Held in a stasis chamber inside it was Omar, the Exalted that Caerllion and Arcanos captured in Batuu. The Annfyn was still removing genetic material from the specimen to use in his experiments and to understand how to replicate what Raze did. This way he could find a way to replicate the effect and to help Azar, because he knew that the Pureblood was being affected by Raze’s influence since he drained that creature.
After this brief moment, Caerllion continued walking until he arrived in a large room. Inside, an Arkanian man was waiting for him with a large container lying on the floor by his inside. “Congratulations for your coronation, majesty. I should say that what I bring to you makes a perfect gift.” the white-haired man, Orrim, said. He had an annoying smile that the Annfyn knew for many years.
The Arkanian could be annoying, but he was competent in doing his job. Caerllion rolled his eyes with Orrim comment and approached the container. He used to clean the condensed water that covered the glass of the lid. What was inside needed to remain in the cold. “They found it on a mountain in Arkania, completely frozen. I could secure a finger.” the white-haired man said, while approaching to look at it. “I don’t know why you want it, you already have one.”
A large smirk appeared in Caerllion’s lips. “My poor Orrim, always so limited. By this point you should know how I work.” the Arkanian scoffed, but waited for the explanation that would inevitably come. “I don’t want to clone it, it’s for genetic engineering. I can use the DNA of this Arkanian dragon without needing to take from my own. Besides, there is endless possibilities for what can be made.” his smirk became diabolical, while he imagined this new monstrous spawn of his evil intelect being used by the Sith Order to bring terror to their enemies.
It was a glorious vision, especially with the fact that Caerllion envisioned Azar as the one leading the triumph of the Sith.
