Sarka, a beautiful world of caves and dazzling rivers and colossal waterfalls. A place where some claim that every breath of wind could be mistaken for music. Where raindrops glistened gold. It was the perfect place to get away from it all and vacation with Kalladrrl. A man which she had went through so much with. Who she forged a Force Bond with. Who was once a commander and now sat on the Dark Council, holding the War Master title.

She loved him with all her heart and was thrilled to have this time alone with him.

They were staying at a nice resort near the base of a waterfall. The day was exquisitely hot. Her yellow eyes gazed at the lake from her sun chair. The water in the lake reflected everything around it like a mirror, accurately down to the minutest details; separate leaf-needles of the scotch fir, the curled petals of the honeysuckle and the clear sky above.

Vex had decided to wear a black-cross bikini while she sat out near the lake. A pair of black designer glasses protected her eyes, having traveled down her nose somewhat every time she looked around. Both items were decently expensive; it was the first time she allowed herself to splurge. In her left hand she held a tequila sunrise. It had a cute little umbrella sticking out of it and she held the straw by her lips for a nice sip.

"Did you hear?" she began, taking another sip before continuing, "Serie was going to kill herself by jumping off the Korriban temple." Vex laughed, loudly. "That or she just pretended to for a pity party. Either way, after three failures you'd think someone wouldn't want to humiliate themselves even further by showing exactly how pathetic they are." And Vex completely believed Serie had done it too, since Nayeli had sent a message about witnessing it. It must've been quite the show. Part of her wondered if Kall wouldn't like where she had gotten her information from, but she didn't reply to the message.

Pausing for another second, the young Sith pushed up her glasses more snuggly to her face. "So what did you get to drink?"

Damn, but this was picturesque. A lakeside beach nestled among low trees in the humid heat of Sarka, just at the foot of a renowned, gorgeous waterfall. This place had a reputation for luxury getaways in addition to the wonders that lay beneath its surfaces, the underground cities built around ruby mines. The surface was blessed unspoiled in parts, which was a welcome change from many worlds that did not seem to operate with environmental conservation in mind. Kalladrrl hoped Xornoth wouldn't push Sarka too far in search of mineral wealth.

He found it very difficult to keep his eyes off of Vex and her pale skin as he returned, almost silvery compared to the gold and the green of Sarka. The planet made memories of Tatooine seem even more dusty in comparison and Vex completed the scene in ways he hadn't even imagined. Vex, the Wraith. The Wraith and the War Master. What a pair they were. Opposite and yet complementary. Her alabaster skin contrasting with his thick, ebony hair. The War Master wore a simple loincloth that would have been almost primitive were it not for the trim of fine gold thread about its borders, contrasting to the jet material from which the rest of the fabric was spun. He wore a set of specially made, silver mirrored glasses that covered his large eyes, dark brown but for the tiniest sliver of yellow in the center of his irises. He had noticed it after the challenge, the change that had brought him even closer to Vex.

He listened to her talk and he tried to keep his eyes on her but she was just so beautiful under the Sarkan sun that gazing on her for too long made him feel giddy and bashful, his hand finding the back of his head as his smile widened and his eyes narrowed behind his sunglasses as he He didn't want to be caught staring but…

Well, she didn't make it easy not to!

Kalladrrl barked out a quick laugh as Vex discussed the one who had tried to poison Essia Contarias on the same day he had challenged her. “Didn't take her for the suicidal type. It wasn't like the Empress was really harsh with her or anything. Other than Evandrus, it seemed like Master Aeron took the brunt of Her Majesty’s disapproval.” He did well when he said the Togruta’s name and even used her proper title. He didn't spit it out or follow it up with profanity or a snide insult and he kept his tone even. Kalladrrl had tried hard to let things go and he impressed even himself with how well he'd done. Vex had made that easy, easier than it was to keep his eyes off her now.

“Sarkan tropical punch. They told me it's all their strongest liquors mixed together and then left to sit for a few days with fruit infusing it for good measure. It's got a kick to it but if you altered your metabolism, you could probably try it.” He proffered the hollow, spiky tropical fruit filled to the brim with the fragrant beverage to her.

“Or don't!” he said brightly, in that larger-than-life tone that he took on when he was clearly joking. “You're quite charming when you've got a buzz going,” he teased, but it was the truth nonetheless.

A short giggle left her while she batting away Kalladrrl's drink. "If I drank that I'd need more than the Force to save me," she joked. Shaking her head and taking another sip of her drink. Though she smiled again at his second comment. Charming? Maybe, maybe not so much. Getting an update on that woman made her laugh because it reaffirmed her thoughts on the Korriban fight. The woman was weak and Vex did the right thing by stopping her plot. The Empress did not need someone like that counseling her. Though Vex's mind drifted away from the subject afterward.

Vex had spent a fair amount of time suntanning already, although her skin was pretty much the same color because she was a redhead. Tanning slowly and burning easily; a curse of the fairer. It didn't matter, really, but it was about time to do something else.

Her eyes slowly shifted over to Kalladrrl when he finished speaking, gaining a loving glimmer to them. "Did you want to do something exciting?" she hummed, tipping her head side to side in thought.

It took her a few moments but a few things sprang to mind. "There's a casino not too far away from here. I'd have to at least throw on a skirt, though it's be worth it." Vex took another sip of her drink, breathing out happily after. "Or we could go for a walk deeper into the woods, explore some caves. I heard rumors that there was a crystal cave somewhere near this location, though I scarcely believe it."

Vex shrugged. "Or we could go diving for pearls," she laughed, partly joking. They could use the Force to hold their breath and explore deeper under the water, or just use rebreathers provided further up the beach. There were a number of other things to do most likely but she was drawing a blank.

The Wookiee smirked at her comment and his eyes twinkled under the mirrored sunglasses as he took a big gulp of it, Citrus flavors met his tongue, potent sugary liquor cutting through the acidity of the fruit. He let out a contented sigh after his pull on the drink.

“Suit yourself. It’s strong and good, two of my favorite qualities in a drink after cold and free.”

Kalladrrl beamed at her brightly as she listed off suggestions. He did enjoy a spot of gambling, and Vex would be a good luck charm for him...if not a devilishly competent gambler herself. That was a thrilling prospect, but the sun was still out. Raking in some of the heaps of credits lying around Sarka was night-time entertainment.

“Casino later.” His head telegraphed his eyes’ motion as he delighted himse with the view of her fair skin, a subtle motion but there nonetheless. “I do love to see your choices of evening wear.” Kall smiled slyly at the truth of it. Vex had impeccable style even in battle armor, whether it was her away set or the set that marked her as a direct subordinate of the Eternal.

“Don’t tempt me about a pearl dive. I did a lot of dives when I was young. Might be out of practice but imagine the look of shock on the natives’ faces if we pulled a pearl the size of a globe out of the lagoon.” Kall spoke boisterously as he leaned forward, curious in his examination of the water that was very clear yet still reflected gold in the sunlight.

“Caves could be nice though,” he said with a deliberate and appreciative hum in his trilling, bass voice. “Dark, mysterious, a little dangerous.” He paused to smirk at her, his mouth bemused. “Like a certain handsome fella I know.” While his words were arrogant, his tone was playful and it betrayed the ironic humor that danced through their Force bond. Kalladrrl was an open book to Vex and she knew it.

Vex nodded when Kalla suggested that they go to the casino later. It was more of a night thing, though she hadn't thought of that while she was listing off ideas. She looked away a little when he mentioned evening wear; a little bit of shyness bubbled to her surfaced for some unknown reason. How it was possible she was shy as a Sith, she'd never know. But Kalla made her feel...like a woman. Like a person, not just this big bad Sith assassin. It was probably why, lately, she'd lightened up a bit. Why on missions she felt more relaxed, less uptight when he was around. Maybe it was unprofessional but she didn't care.

She laughed when he brought up diving for pearls; it was something she'd never explored before. It interested her that Kalla had though. Maybe it was something they could do later and he could teach her. Vex was not against new experiences, but she was also not against exploring the forest and caves.

Her eyes glimmered when his last sentence left his lips. "Dark, mysterious, certainly," Vex said happily. "Dangerous? Maybe to others." She reached out, wrapping her lithe fingers around his. Her eyes caught his, gazing deeply into them. Every part of her being loved this man. This man who brought her so much joy that she couldn't even put the amount into words. "But to me, Kalladrrl, truly? You're the sweetest man to walk the galaxy."

Smiling, she stood up, not wanting to let go of his hand. Hoping he'd stand up with her. "Let's explore the caves then," Vex added with a nod, slipping on her shoes which she had put on the side of the sun chair. "I do think I am kinda buzzed though. Possibly tipsy," she admitted as she began to walk towards the forest. When they go closer she did sense something, something similar to what she sensed when she first saw her lightsaber crystal. Perhaps there were actually a cave with them.

He could help but turn the corners of his lips up at her shyness. It was so damn endearing to see the mighty Vex acting like a person instead of the hardened commando and assassin that had helped him incorporate billions of sapient lives into the Imperial fold and would do so again and again. No, instead the creature that sat beside him was Vex and not necessarily the Wraith, the deadliest servant of a deadly master beyond humanity.

But the Mask wasn’t here. It was just the two of them.

Kall couldn’t help but grin as she spoke, entwining her fingers with his. Damn, but she was beautiful and not just with her brilliant hair and her smooth skin. No, she’d shown him that she was beautiful and she cared about him and he’d even surprised himself with how fiercely and protectively he cared for her. Her words left him silent -- Vex had that effect on him sometimes and he couldn’t do anything but smile, and draw her hand to him as she stood, bringing it to his face and kissing on her knuckles as he looked up at her, eyes peeking out from behind his sunglasses. He could not see the fine ring of gold inside the irises of his eyes but she would be able to in the moment as he gazed up at her adoringly before standing with her, grinning down from his usual vantage point at his comparatively tiny partner.

“Caves it is, rrankyra,” he said amicably as they began to walk, taking slow steps to stay by her side. He did not put on shoes; it was a chore that his battle armor required him to wear boots so the opportunity to walk as his people did was a welcome one. As the exited the terrace, a servant proffered to the Wookiee, who accepted it with a shrug and slung it over his left shoulder.

“You’re always so cute when you’ve had a couple drinks,” he said mischievously to her as his hand left hers, trailing across the alabaster skin on her shoulders and wrapping his arm about her gently, drawing her into his chest as they walked.
