Rodan stood in the docking bay beside his speeder. He shaded his eyes with his hand as he scanned the sky for a ship. He had contacted a pilot who was willing to make a stop on Chandrila. Once she arrived, the two could discuss the destination and payment.
Where is she? All I see are Senate shuttles. Wait - what's that?

A petite looking, cackling mandalorian zooms, drifting on a junky ass looking speeder, Tokyo drifting and sending dust and or dirt all over her passenger.

"Ooooyaaa!"

She sprinted to the ramp of her ship, leaning on one foot and giving a salute.

"Get the hell on! Or I'm asking for payment by the hour!"

She slid on the ramps pole, kicking it down all the way. And running to the pilots seat.

Rodan took in the situation for a moment, wiped the dust from his face, and then dashed on board. He looked around, sat down on the nearest available solid item, and caught his breath.
"So, this is your ship. What's she called? And what unit of time or distance do you normally charge by? Hours seem hard to keep track of in a business like this."

"uhh it's my cousin's old ship and no I'm not talking further about it, it's a ship, not some buxom twi'lek hellbent on.. yeah nevermind."

She then starts the ship.

"And to be honest I just want a set fare, I'm not picky, you cover my fuel, any costs that you know, may incur, and that's it, I do this often for folk who look absolutely down in the dumps so.."

"Very well. I - wait. Down in the dumps? What do you mean?"

"yeah duh, you know, pitiful, sad, lonely, no bitches, all that jazz."

She does a one handed shrug pressing a few dodads, preparing for lift off.

"Seriously, get laid, you radiate the "I've never been outside my hometown." Energy."

"How dare you! I am hardly pitiful! And while I am alone at the moment, I fail to see why that is a negative thing. You are right about the last bit, though - I have hardly ever left the city where I grew up. That's why I'm on your ship..."
Rodan lapsed into silence and looked around, curious as to the interior of this vessel.

"buddy, your hitching a ride with a twins mandalorian. That is literally scrapping the bottom of the barrel."

She sighed pressing more doodads.

 

[Rodan Pierce]

Rodan sat in silence for some time, watching Rue press doodads. Then, a thought came to him.
"So... where are we going? If Chandrila is just a stop on your flight, what's the destination?"

"uhh where do you wanna go? I got a list of places I need to hit, we got mandalore as one, I'll probably dump you there and let the locals eat you alive."

She Snickers finishing her preparation for lift off.

"You Mandalorians are cannibals? I've heard crazy stories, but this tops them all! I should be able to handle myself, as long as I don't accidentally challenge anyone to a duel of honor or something. Mandalore is your destination, and now it is mine."

"oh yeah, cannibalism is a top notch, sacred tradition backing thousands of years! It totally wasn't a figure of speach!"

She facepalmed, making a satisfying clink when her palm made contact with the helmet.

"Apropos of nothing, how many doodads do you need to push to get this thing in the air? So far, you've hit 2 toggle switches, 3 round buttons, 1 square button, and 5 rotary dials. You've also hit yourself in the face. And yet we are still on the ground."

"as many as I damn well want. Unless you want another ship to charge you up the wazoo."


She then snickers.

"OH WAIT, NO ONE WILL!"

The engine flared to life.

"Sit down boy, were going on a kriffing ride"

Rodan opens his mouth to point out that he is already seated but then thinks better of it. He looks at his immediate surroundings for something resembling a seatbelt. If he can find no such device, he simply holds on.

No surprise, there was none! The ship begins to lurch then lift from the ground, as she directs the ship upwards towards the sky, as the world below them started to fade from view.

"Righto, so you got a preferred spot for me to dump you on my way to Concord dawn and mandalorian space?"

She sighed, removing her helmet, a large scratch
Went down her left eye, the eye itself being hidden by a bang, she rested the helmet on the dashboard as she set it to autopilot.

Rodan pulled up a map on his datapad. He traced a line from Chandrila to Mandalore, his finger stopping on a planet on the edge of Jedi space.
"Ejolus. It's a semi-significant planet, and full of Jedi. They seem like adventurous folk. I would like to go there."
As he finishes his examination of the map, his eyes wander around the cockpit, seemingly in an effort to avoid looking forward.

"yeah no, im not landing on a wizard planet, got another?"

She gave that asshole smirk.

"Kidding, I'll do it."

Rodan will sit in the chair for some time, nervously shifting around on the chair, until hyperspace is entered.

Rue gave a sadistic cackle as she pressed the hyperdrive, she knew the poor boy was going to be knocked off whatever he was sitting on and on his ass by the initial recoil, but best to leave that to be figured out by himself!
