"Sorrys. You wanting knows..." she whispered beneath her breath in response to his grunt. Rehni watched the screen change to another swoop race, she saw from the corner of her eye, Deacon was reaching in his pocket, most likely to bet on another bike in the race. She wondered if he had second thoughts after the his latest bet, she studied the screen for a moment, but definitely knew it was against the rules, "The Bawdy Bantha." she replied to him, "Do notting believes me, I willing put 2000 credits." the Knight took out her personal credits, "Pretty sures ofing it."

Deke smirked at Rehni's comments. Even with his amulet on, she had still read his mind. Well, his actions anyway... to be fair. When she pulled out a couple grand worth of credits to secure her own bet, Deacon quirked an inquisitive eyebrow, then decided to follow suit. Running his card, he placed a handsome bet of ten thousand on the Bawdy Bantha. Not exactly the swoop driver he would've chosen, but definitely a good selection.

"Alright," he replied a bit quietly, as if participating in some illegal activity, which quite honestly, he should've been used to as that was pretty much what he did... heh. Glancing over at her, he added, "If we win, I'll buy yer nex' drink." Quirking a crooked grin, he clicked his tongue at her as he gave her a quick wink, then turned his attention back to the view screen. The races were starting here shortly.

After a few quiet moments, he spoke softly enough for Rehni to hear, but not loud enough for everyone else at the bar, "Kin'a naughty of you... itn't it?" Without turning his head, Deke gave her a sideways glance, a semi-accusing, somewhat playful look on his face. Just what -did- Jedi do when they got drunk enough anyway? He chuckled inwardly at the thought. Tonite could get pretty amusing... heh.

Rehni was quiet for a few moments before answering Deacon. She was listening past the club, her thoughts taking her elsewhere. The swoop race begun, however the Bawdy Bantha was not in the lead, she leaned back in her chair eyes off the screen but confident in her bet. Deacon had made a remark about her being naughty. Rehni smirk, "I's killing ins battle, I's thinking that maybe-ing worse thans making bets on bike racings." the Jedi replied, the Bawdy Bantha was beginning to pull out front, "Besides... its notting bad when Ims off duty too." added Rehni, she finished off her second pint of ale but waited until the race would finish before she would order another. Her eyes were off the screen for only a moment, but the geers and hisses of losing betters could be heard through the bar. Rehni watched the screen, the Bawdy Bantha was far in the lead, a near thirty seconds ahead of the bikes when it crossed the finish line. "Wells?" she held up her glass.

To her remarks about killing in battle, Deke just nodded his head lightly, grunting curiously as if conceding a point to the Jedi. When she added that it wasn't bad when she was off-duty, Deacon replied quietly with a crooked grin, "I never knew Jedi could be off-duty." He chuckled lightly to himself, turning his attention straight back to the swoop races. The Bawdy Bantha didn't start out so great though Deacon didn't sweat it too much. It was rare that a race was determined in the very first lap. Very rare. A lot of maneuvering took place throughout that it was really nigh-impossible to predict... unless you were a Jedi, heh.

Deacon smirked at Rehni as she held up her glass and basically asked for the drink he had promised her if they'd won. As the Bawdy Bantha had taken first place, Deke was -more- than happy to oblige. After ensuring that he had collected his winnings, Deacon beckoned for the barkeep, ordering up a Galaxy Rush, his new favorite drink, and tilting his head towards the Jedi beside him. "It's for my lady-friend here," he stated simply, giving Rehni a quirky smile. Once the bartender had stepped away, Deke went on to tell Rehni, "We should do this more often... sit, drink, place a few wagers t'gether."

Giving her a quick wink, he further added, "So long as you're bettin' right along side me tha' is." Deacon didn't feel the need to explain what he meant by that, assuming that the Jedi was sharp enough to pick up on his meaning. The first time he had placed a bet and she was about, she had no money on the race and Deke had lost. This last time though, she supported her own suggestion with two grand, and it had paid of rather handsomely for Deacon, more than doubling the ten large he had committed to the race, based solely off of her recommendation.

I never knew Jedi could be off-duty.

Rehni nodded, and grinned big, "Yes...Trues, tendency to picking ups troubles wheres-evers we goes." she replied listening to people still yell over the swoop race. The Knight was still trying to figure out who Deacon was, someone who couldn't be detected by the Force was still someone of curiosity to the Jedi Knight. So far she crossed off 'force-user' due to what she felt, it wasn't like a pulse, just a constant null.

Deacon was talking with the bar tender brought her attention back as she received her Galaxy Rush, she took it without hesitation, and took a sip, not necessarily to her liking, but it was a free drink. Stronger than what she was used.

We should do this more often... sit, drink, place a few wagers t'gether.
So long as you're bettin' right along side me tha' is.

Rehni raised an eyebrow, "That ising becauses you woulds being winning all the times." she took another drink, "And that ising cheating."

Quirking an inquistive eyebrow as he gave Rehni a playfully accusing look, Deke replied, "So wha's the cut-off between what just happened on this past race, and the number of races it would be in a row to be called cheating?" He grinned mischievously as he kept his gaze fixed on her. Then, waving a hand rather flippantly, he went on, "I mean, so long as we lose a race or two every -now- and then... it'll be alright. Right?"

If Deacon could predict the outcome of races like that, he'd be sure not to flaunt it and would only make the occasional large wager. Winning a streak of bets in a row would most certainly draw attention, and that would not be a good thing, heh. Then again, if he had the ability to predict the future, perhaps he would move into investments... Wait... is that how the Jedi fund their Temple and all that?

His eyes lit up as the conspiracy-theory formed in his head. Jedi placing bets that they -knew- they would win, or making investments in companies they -knew- would succeed, all for the betterment of their Temple, training, equipment, and so much more.... Huh... Wonder what type of precautions they have in place to prevent something like that? Could they tell the future that far in advance? Was it only a few minutes thing? Few hours? Few days? More?

Whatever... it was more Jedi voo-doo. Yay fun...

"Wells, beforing I's thinking too hards about it, no; Howevers, it ising cheating." she had quickly added, "Plus, I's doing notting believes Is canning doing it alls the times." explained the Knight, "Details, you woulding notting want to hear, trusts me's." she turned her head back to the screen another swoop race had begun. Rehni took more sips from her drink, it wasn't so bad after she got used to it. She looked at Deacon and was about to say something else, she could tell from his face he was thinking of something.

She leaned forward resting her elbows on the bar, "It drives a Jedi nuts whens they canning notting read another's thoughts. How ising I canning notting sense you?" she asked.

Nodding his head lightly as he watched the new race coming on. "Yup, you Jedi don't like to afford folks their privacy. You'll keep your own damn thoughts to yourself and such, but everyone else... frak 'em. Read their crap, play god, and then do whatever." Glancing over at her he added, "There's something rather invasive about reading peoples' minds." He paused for a moment as he turned back to the view screen. "...but I'm sure you don't find that as wrong or cheating."

Lifting his glass up before his lips, Deke went on, "People don't deserve to have any privacy. Do they Jedi? Just slip -right- on into their heads. Frak around a bit, then leave them violated." After a quick sip, he again added, "Oh yeah, and sometimes... SOME times... you all -force- your will upon them." Shaking his head with a disgusted look, he continued with, "Talk about raping someone... and they don't even flippin' know it." With an accusing eye, he held a disgusted look as he gestured obscenely with a hand, "Just slip in, get your jollies off, and pull right back out... and they don't even know that they had been taken advantage of."

Clearing his throat as he turned his gaze back to the view screen, he says rather spitefully with, "Kinda like frakking a retard..." Spitting past the counter, Deke admits scornfully, "Except you hav' the luxury of never gettin' caught. Sick perverted fraks." Deacon almost continued to go on but decided against it for the moment. He'd unleashed a good bit of venom already; though he had -plenty- more to go... now that she had stirred the pot.

Rehni starred, her jaw slightly agape. The being that sat on the otherside of Deacon was starring at them too. the moment of silence was cut by Rehni's full hearted laugh. "Someones pissed offs a Jedi!" she laughed and took a drink, she didn't think she would have hit a nerve by asking such question. But with his response, she had her answer. "Looks Deacon, I asking fors whying I canning notting senses you. Notting whats you talks abouting with yours therapists." she repied to him. She suspected he was using something that would void him in the force. "Sorrys for hitting a nerve." the Knight rplied to him still releasing a giggle as she thought about what he said.

More than a little perturbed at her response, especially the laughing and giggling, Deacon waved a dismissive hand as he looked elsewhere, "Meh, you're the one who stated Jedi don't like not being able to mind-feck people." He was about to go on, but soon decided that it was pointless. Her laughing and giggling clued him in to her state of mind, and it wasn't one that he was willing to argue or discuss with on anything even remotely serious.

Seemed she was only interested in getting into Deacon's head, wanting to know what was keeping her out. Go figure, she wants to rape my brain as well, he thought to himself. Finally making a decision, Deke grabbed a hold of his drink and turned towards Rehni as he made to slide off his stool. "Enjoy your drink Jedi," was all he said, before starting to make his way towards another table, some where away from her.

Rehni replied and she toasted the drink to Deacon's back, then taking a sip. She turned around back to the bar to finish.

To her remark about the Force being with him, Deacon didn't look back, but instead, kept walking as he lifted his glass up to his shoulder as in a salute of sorts to her. Under his breath however, he muttered something rather foul and demeaning about the Force, Jedi, and... her ass? Well, being left unmolested by the female Jedi at the bar, Deacon made his way back to a separate table, the one he had been at earlier with Blythe.

Sliding into his seat, he was still able to keep an eye on the other Jedi at the table just past the Quermians AND the female Jedi Knight, Rehni, at the bar. She had said something interesting at the end there, that it wasn't her specialty. He wondered if she meant that mind-fecking people wasn't her specialty. Either way, she had admitted to slipping it into people's minds without their knowledge; which to Deacon, just wasn't right. People deserved to have their privacy.

These Jedi who thought themselves demi-gods, selected by Fate and not by democracy, had no right to just -sense- people and -probe- their thoughts. Oh sure, they made it sound innocent enough, but in reality, to Deacon anyway, it was something much more vile and invasive. Freakin' Jedi... It irritated him to no end that Fate just decided who would receive such powers and abilities. There was no rite of passage or anything. Just BOOM!! Congratulations, Force powers. Knock yourself out.

Despicable...

Rehni finished her drink, her head was beginning to spin. She looked over where Malz and the padawan were still sitting and she too, then left the bar making her way to the table. Her body was fighting the affects of the alcohol in her system and it was beginning to wear her out. She sat down and looked at Malz, "Going shalling we?" she asked, then giving him a raise of her eyebrow, then projected to him: "I'ms afraids I maying having started some troubles."

The other two were oddly...quiet, but that was alright. Malz was still focusing on Rehni and her new companion, the can't-sense-a-damn-thing-from man. When she headed back over to the table he felt like letting out another sigh of relief, but he could sense her being slightly inebriated. This was turning into a not-so-fun evening.

"I'ms afraids I maying having started some troubles."

He blinked at her for a moment. Then slapped his hand on his forehead. He gave her a, "What did you do?!" look without projecting it. He turned to the other two and smiled, "So sorry but it appears my fellow Knight and I need to head out. Very nice to meet you two!" He turned to the padawan and continued, "It's getting late. You really should head back to the temple now. Bad things happen to padawans who are out past curfew!" He wiggled his hands in a very scary-esque way for effect, even though it probably just made it hilarious.

With that being done, he bowed and grabbed Rehni by the shoulder and lead her towards the door, muttering to her, "What in the galaxy did you do? If you're lucky I might have some leftover medicine to make a banana bag for you. It'll help with the hangover."

Deacon Nash watched the Jedi get up and make ready to leave as he himself ordered another drink. He typically thought of himself NOT as an angry drunk, but one of those who relaxed and chilled out the more they drank. Right now, he could use that feeling. His exchange with the Jedi had irritated him greatly, getting him into one of his Anti-Jedi moods... which in truth, encompassed EVERY Jedi, dark, light or otherwise. He couldn't care less for any of them.

The Rutian Twi'lek who had been his waitress all night came back to him with a sauntering step, a crooked grin on her face as she gave him a playfully accusing look, her tone echoing it as she said, "Are you chasin' payin' customers away? You bad, bad man you..." Gaze still fixed on the departing Jedi, Deacon replied, "They're Jedi. They shouldn't be in here anyway. Feckin' mind rapists..."

He left it at that, the distaste heavy in his tone as venom could almost be seen dripping from his teeth as he spoke, baring them only somewhat. If he could, he'd.... Calm it down Deke... relax... take a drink... they're leaving... Taking another drink of his Galaxy Rush, Deacon turned his attention elsewhere as the waitress inquired if she could get him anything else. Waving a dismissive hand, he grunted a no thanks and she turned about, waltzing away with a seductive sway to her hips.

Deacon didn't even notice.

Rehni shrugged her shoulders at Malz, she nodded in agreeing with him that the padawan needed to get back to the temple. There was punishment when they miss curfew and check-ins and she didn't think he wanted to spend his spare time cleaning in the kitchen.

She stood up with Malz, hand on her shoulder, "I's only needing an hours withing the Force and I canning filters this stuff out. However abouting Deacon, I's asking hims whying I's could notting sense him. Thens he hading gotting angry and telling me off, and when he wasing done, I laughed." she smiled, "Thens that musting having really offending him because he gotting ups and left the bar." explained the Knight as they exited the club to the streets, "So I's decidings we needing to leaves."

Malz rolled his eyes, "Your liver is what filters it out. You're just using the Force to speed the process, which will only exhaust you and your organs. There's a reason it takes time to get alcohol out of your system. If you're angering scary men at bars who can't be felt by the Force, then you shouldn't be wasting your energy."

He shot a glance in Deacon's direction, trying one last time to test if he really can't be felt. Just as expected, utter silence. He sighed and turned back to Rehni as he lead her out, "Y'know, Rehni, most people don't like it when we search their minds. It's kind-of an invasion of privacy, y'know? And you certainly shouldn't go about telling people that you're doing it. How'd you feel if some stranger came up to you and told you, 'Hey, I just looked into your most cherished feelings and memories! Well, too-da-loo!'"

With that female Jedi thing gone, Deke felt safe to once again bet on the swoop races. He'd won a pretty handsome amount on the last one, right before his... incident... with the Jedi, but figured he needed some more distraction. This night was -really- dragging out. Starting with the Jedi entering... then an exchange with some Dark Jedi named Blythe, then a drunk Knight who liked to mind-rape people, not to mention how she'd killed (at least in his mind he found her responsible for it) a swoop racer rather violently, probably just to show off her Jedi voo-doo.

Yup, an interesting, up and down night to say the least. He wished he hadn't been so hard on Blythe, but then again, she was one of them. One of those Jedi whom fate selected on a whim. For some odd reason though, he found himself strangely attracted to her. Was it the free drink she'd brought him? Unlikely, he wasn't -that- cheap and easy... was he? No... couldn't be. Krath, perhaps Cupid was just that damn good with his arrows, being totally unaffected by his amulet, the Force or anything.

Shoot, now if Deacon had a power like -that-.... he'd be... heh... unstoppable. Taking a long drink of his Galaxy Rush, he sat back and enjoyed the races once more, placing a modest bet (at least to him) on a swoop labeled The Violent Vornski. Intimidating enough name. Deke just hoped that he performed as viciously as his namesake. Lay it all out on the table and then some. Shortly, they would see...

Rehni frowned looking at Malz, "Sensing does notting mean I canning read his mind, asing I telling him, that ising notting my speciality..." she tapped her chin in thought, "I canning create false memories...mind tricks, but notting see into their 'most cherishing memories'. I's thinking he thoughting the same ways too...and I do notting telling them when Ims doing it either." she stopped at the correct transport stop, "Mind-raper!" Rehni let out a laugh thinking about Deacon's rant some beings turned to stare, but with a little push, their heads turned back, "Sees...mind tricks." she smiled.

Malz turned to his companion with a suspicious look on his face, "Be mindful of how you use the Force. Overusing our powers isn't part of our ways, and we shouldn't just read peoples' emotions whenever we see fit. You're becoming reliant on it, and now when someone that you cannot sense comes along, you become insecure."

He sighed. Not that he was any different, in a way. There were times when he'd completely freeze from shock of finding out a Healing technique didn't work, or that he misdiagnosed someone despite using the Force to see their illness. Still, he learned from his mistakes, and he's been trying to use conventional medicine more than Force Healing.
