This is a older Blackwell robotics facility on the verge of the Outer Rim. It's after night, there would be low staffing at the facility. It would be no problem for the Blackwell Executive and his friend Lyra to have the main lab sealed off and all to themselves. The work they are doing here is off the books as well.

Newton left his droid companion M7 back on his ship, as they were experimenting with samples from that dataplague. There is no way Newton would allow a chance of that dataplague infecting his childhood companion.

Wearing casual clothing and wearing glasses, Newton was ready for a hard day of looking at computer screens for a good long while as he tackles this project. It's been quite a while since Newton has been back to work, not too long ago he was on vacation because he was having a creative block that proved troublesome, to a degree he feels that way, but he's sure he can work through it.

In addition to a full array of computers and some other equipment, there were also two deactivated droids hooked to wires coercing into the machinery. One of them was an old protocal droid, and one of them is a dated Blackwell model security droid.

Newton would take his position in a chair at a terminal, he would look towards Lyra his friend and partner in this. "Well, I got the best firewall available on here, ready to get to cracking this code?" Newton would smile as he would ask her. That firewall will probably be needed. Newton tried looking into the dataplague in detail before, but he couldn't decipher the ancient code involved in it. Today is the day perhaps?

She was thankful that she had a habit of writing out much of her work by hand; paper after paper of deciphers and codes that explained more dead ends than successes. Though with what they were working with, Tiamat did not dare risk bringing any droid or computers other than the ones being provided to do their work. She was not familiar with the potency of a data plague other than what she was told or what she had studied; the bottom line was, it would be not wise to take the risk. She sat an adjacent terminal at the lab with Newton, the project they took to reverse engineer the data-plague needed all the precautions to ensure no one could get or anything gets out of the lab.

He informed he had prepared the firewall and Tia turned slowly in her seat to look at him and then his terminal screen. "Good, hopefully we'll get a solid grasp on it before it learns to bring it down." she stated, a bit of worry in her tone before turning around and rolling her seat to watch the neighboring terminals, "Let's see what is actually in this system, we've scratched along the surface," she said putting on her glasses and opened up her notebook, "Though, getting to the heart of the program and the actual brain of the AI counterparts..." Tia continued, voicing her thoughts and shook her head, "Ok, command patterns, lets start looking for similar symbols and how they appear, especially patterns."

Tia explained, glancing at her notes as she waited for Newton to bring up the coding program.

Newton raised his eyebrows he saw Lyra with those glasses, when her attention on her notebook. She looks quite good with those, he had to admit. Newton nodded in agreement. "Lets get to it then" he would then crack his knuckles. There he goes, he's good to go. "Alright, here we go. Firewall is on" Newton would then insert a disc of the dataplague sample into the terminal. This terminal they were at was - for now - isolated from the other machinery about. Good care was taken to make sure that the dataplague doesn't take over the factory on it's own and turn the place into something very similar at the wrecked droid factory.

Then there would be a tons and tons of text decending on the terminal screen as Newton went into debug/devolper mode. Everything would appear as ancient Tionese symbols, from the Tion cluster. It's a far cry from Basic for sure. Newton would be and look puzzled. "You able to make out any of this?" he asked. Newton can see symbols, characters. But not anything he's familiar with, if he's looking for patterns, they are incomprehensible. Newton didn't know it was exactly.

"Shall I run it through the translation software?" He offered, just in case there isn't anything further Lyra knows. But suffice it to say, once they get past the language barrier part, everything can proceed.

"It just looks like a jumbled mess to me." she frowned as the symbols came across the screen, "Luckily for us, Tionese scholars are still around to tell us what each of these symbols represent." she stated quickly pressing some keys to take copies of cluster patterns she was picking up. He asked if they should run the translation software and Tia nodded, "Might as well, from what I know too, High Galactic is the closest to what we have in the galaxy now, so we'll need to watch out for some overlap. Though I think we'll be in better shape since this dates prior to High Galactic."

As Newton would start the translation process, Tiamat continued to find clusters, matching them symbol to symbol, "Unlike Aurebesh, some of these represent letter and number combinations, a real pain, despite it being genius in shorthand." she explained picking out a few symbols as she entered them into another algorithm, "At least they didn't go for a three dimensional decoding system, that took years to figure out for the hypergates." she chuckled now, despite at the time of figuring out the code, her own rage and annoyance could tear open holes in the time and space continuum. Tia shook her head, "That was pretty genius too."

"How is that firewall holding up?" she asked.

"High Galactic eh?" An old alphabet and a language of snobs and bluebloods. Newton has learned that through his time at the Institute at Courscant, although he barely had it applied in his work. "Three dimensional coding?" Newton echoed. "Heh, I could only imagine how painful that would be." he grimaced. "Only you could have figured that." that is impressive. "Genius indeed" he muttered.

The firewall, good question. Newton would take a look at it's task on the terminal. He can see that the virus is attempted to spread on the terminal. It's not content to just stay on the device. No. It has to try and spread itself. "Firewall is holding up fine. The virus is being quarantined just fine. It shouldn't cause any problems, for now." It better stay that way.

The translation process would take awhile, Newton would lean back in his seat as it's finishing up, he would look at the characters on the screen as slowly but surely they would be turned into something he can read. Slowly but surely it would be reading it's end.

Eventually, it would finished.

"Alright, now it's done. Now the real work can begin."
he said as he would straighten his posture as they would now be going in the tick of it.

For now...

That was the catch, it was never as easy as they would expect it to be, but due to the severity of the project they were accomplishing, the risk was still present. Tia had much gratitude to the software they had for translating the code, a lazy tap of the enter-key allowed for a quick break down of what exactly was encrypted in this code. Unlike her other works, especially on the hypergates, she did not have the luxury of living scholars who could give some insight to individuals like themselves to what something was reading on their screen.

Tiamat quickly scribbled down some notes when specific algorithms presented themselves, but then it would soon turn into a waiting game. The redhead leaned back lazily in her seat, watching the characters quickly scrolling across the screen; this was the worst part, she had lost count to the number of times she had fallen asleep during this process.

Text scrolled across the screens when the process was finished and Newton announced they could get to work, "My favorite part. Let's get in the failsafety coding before it begins to figure out what we're doing." she suggested, quickly bringing up the coding requests.

So the translation software ran it's source. Newton would get to work analyzing everything... and there is a whole lot to analyze. The virus is most likely keen to not let organics that it seemingly hates to just let study it. So he will work fast. Fortunately Newton is quite adept at working under pressure.

Newton would begin to mumble, thinking aloud. Wiith the terminal keyboard and mouse as he is going along, he would take a wide look across the terminal screens. Upon getting deeper, he would have closed in a key process. "Ah yes, this here is the code that makes the machinary under the virus be loyal to this 'Agrorander'. He appears to be a figure this virus serves in his name with fervor." he stated.

"But..." he paused "Lets replace Agrorander with a Keyholder of source. If the right keyphase is said and they hear it, those machines will listen and obey the Keyholder's commands."

Newton would go to modify, but would get a pop up from the firewall, an alert. "Oh, the virus doesn't seem to be taking this well. We have to hurry..." he said. Already, the terminal is experiencing visual glitches, the characters on the terminal would be fading in and out, visibility is getting annoying and would be becoming a hindrance. But they can't keep this going forever, or else the whole terminal will be infested and they will lose all their progress.

The pressure to work faster lurked in her thoughts, but she knew working faster only bred mistakes and with something as volatile as this programing, it was not worth the risk. Regardless, she kept at it, watching the data run up the screens as she typed; she could hear Newton mumbling to himself, which was not unusual as she had the tendency to talk to herself while she worked too. Though, his voice grew louder and she felt herself slowing to listen to what he had to say.

"Agrorander?" she repeated, remembering the droids speaking that from the warehouse. She wonder who exactly was this creator for the program and if they were even organic. Tia shook her head, refocusing her attention on the coding as he pointed out the process to switch to a new command source.

She watched as he begun to modify and the alert from the firewall drew some worry and she quickly jumped back to her keyboard. There was the distinct sound of electric sparking, and she looked over to the terminal where Newton was working, seeing the screen beginning to flicker. Her technological senses speed up, working around the codes as the firewalls started popping up on neighboring terminals. "Okay...c'mon..." she said working faster, feeling herself leaning into the keypad as she continued, nearing the end of her line.

"Newton...." she urged as sparks started to snap at her tower. They were so close!

Newton started hurrying and hurrying, but soon there were a cascade of errors, and then sparks started flying out of the terminal Lyra was using, he saw. "You ok?" Newton asked if she was ok. And then Newton got sparks on his end fly into his face as well.

It was a good thing Newton was wearing glasses, otherwise those might have seriously damaged his eyes. Newton would recoil after that, that still stung quite a bit. The firewall just isn't good enough for the virus. Newton would double time it, the lines of code he wanted to enter is just too complex for now. "We don't have enough time for the script we're trying to put in" he said as he was typing.

"Will try something simple as a temporary fix." if they can finish in time, they can stop this rogue virus and be 'tamed' but this is still pushing it.

As Newton is doing so, on some of the other terminals in the area, a mysterious visage would appear on the screens, including ones close to Lyra and Newton. The terminals would then be boardcasting what sounded like corrupted and disorting binary, getting Newton's attention. He would look, and his face went from determined to dropping his draw "Oh shit..."...

The virus has already taken over most the lab... Although this isn't over yet if they can get this done in just a minute or two.

She withdrew her hands from the keyboard quickly every time her terminal begun to spit sparks at the woman. Doubts crept into her thoughts as they were knowingly in deep with this project. Though she was certain of the firewalls that existed outside this room, she knew once the code got out, that would be it, and the consequences would be unmistaken across systems. Newton mentioned something as a temporary fix, but Tia kept working, typing and retyping the coding so it would stick and they could overwrite the data plague's command system. The virus itself was quick to catch on as they jumped from parameter to parameter to enter in the new commands.

She heard him curse and looked at the neighboring terminals; if codes could look devious, this was what it could create along with a sound of distorted beeps and chimes as it were becoming more self-aware.

Tia continued though, "No, we're going to get this..." she said typing as quickly as her fingers would allow her, sending it on a false chase as she jumped to several critical lines for the command coding. "Tell me we're going to complete this." she said a bit more sternly, though uncertain if she was even directing it to Newton and instead telling herself. As far as she was concerned, no computer was going to get the best of her and this work.

Newton was getting panicked as he is seeing the virus taking over more and more of the screens, he heard Lyra speak to him. They are going to get through this. And when asked to afirm, he would look back for just a second, in the eyes. "We are going to complete this" he said firmly.

With his eyes on the screen in front of him, they were almost done. Soon, he would see the faint outline of the glowing eyes he saw on the other screens on his, a sign that even his station was being taken over, but he is almost done. He would mutterly quietly. "Just a little bit more, just a moment more..." as he is doing his task as quickly as possible.

But the code is finished. With a press of the enter key, It is done, a simplistic version of the code is now complete. "It's done." Turning on the voice on the terminal. "Servitor. Stop, now" and with that, the virus then stopped where it was. The terminals that Lyra and Newton are they still have full control over. The rest of the room is still infected, but now the virus is docile now. "Lyra, heh, we did it." Newton would relax back in his chair, he would take a deep cathartic breath.

He would turn to face Lyra back in his chair. "Now, we can code the rest of the virus as planned. And once we do that, we can test it, fine tune it at our leisure, and once we are finished, we get you a copy and a key phrase set up." As planned, Lyra will have a copy of a virus and a keyphase in which she can control the virus through commands using her voice. But now that the virus is under control, they are no longer in a hurry, and they can make sure this virus is complete as planned.

Newton gave the plan. "Sound good?" he asked.

She hated to think if they were not successful, a virus with unknown potential running rampant in the galaxy with no checks. It would be like AMS for droids, though leaving it both a deadly situation for organics and parts alike. At one point she was certain she was holding her breath as she continued, watching the new pieces of code from Newton pop up on her screen. He was just as determined as she was, certain they would get the keyphase programed quickly and correctly until it would be reality.

Tia heard him speak, it's done? did he mean the virus got out- her thoughts quickly spiraled to the worst, but looking back at the screen as he spoke the command, she realized they did it. A wide grin slowly crossed her face as she inhaled sharply and leaned back in her seat. "We kriffing did it, but-" she looked at him with the most serious she could make her face around him, "But, we're never doing that again, that was... too close." her tone broke and she laughed, fingers squeezing into fists as she quickly tapped her feet in her excitement.

He informed their next steps and she glanced at her terminal, "Sounds much simpler." Tia let out a long sigh and nodded in agreement to his plan. She thought of the possible uses she could have for the code for herself and what it could mean in the larger access of the galaxy itself. "Lets order in, and then we can get to finishing this coding. If we worked as fast as we did to establish the key phase, we'll be done in no time." she suggested, stomach growling while turning back to the terminal as she brought up a new portion of the code, entering in key combinations.

The keyholder code was half the project, it would be all downhill process from there.
