Rebel Medical Cruiser, Outer Rim
With an armed escort of four marines Commander Hugo Ion marched with steady steps. The rebel leader turned a corridor amidst a mostly empty hallway. With each step he took, the Duros drew closer to his destination. I prefer visiting the wounded than this mess. He thought to himself.

Recently the commander had been informed by General Greybok of an incident between the Jedis Castor Chumeda Volante and Arda Breaux onboard this very vessel. Needless to say he was not at all pleased with what Castor had done. In fact Hugo was infuriated, and it showed in his now cold expression and tightened fists. Once aware the resistance leader had ordered the Hapan to be kept under house arrest until he arrived.

Following a series of meetings on other issues, the blue humanoid was now able to make good on that word. Stopping in front of a closed cabin Hugo pressed the activition button, letting the door slide open. Then he stepped inside with his guards.

No character death or PvP allowed.

The Former Sith known as Castor Volante was sat within a small brig within the confines of a medical cruiser. He was sat down on a small bench, hands bound in restraints in front of him. They were the type that completely covered his hands as well so as to make tampering with them harder.

Not that he'd even attempted anything of the sort.

Castor had waited to be arrested and when the guards did arrive he handed over his blaster and lightsabers without question or resistance and allowed himself to be placed in restraints without complaint. There was nothing to complain about, after all. He was being detained for something that had, in fact, happened.

It had happened and no matter his thoughts or regrets on the fact that it had happened, the fact remained that it had happened and there were to be consequences for it happening - as there should be. He wasn't looking to rationalize anything or have anything excused. Instead he waited patiently for someone to arrive to discuss what was to be done, what consequences there were to be for his actions.

For his mistakes.

The doors opened to admit Hugo Ion and Castor stood at attention upon seeing his superior officer. The superior officer of the entire alliance in fact.

"Commander."

The Durosian Commander stared long and hard at the ex-Sith who stood at attention. With the guards behind him, Hugo looked into Castor’s eyes. All the resistance leader saw a man who knew he was guilty or at least fully aware of what others thought of him. “At ease.” He ordered in a professional tone that belied the disgust within his soul.

Once the prisoner did as commanded Hugo shook his head. Staring again at the other man the Alliance head clasped both hands behind his back. Moments later he said.

“Castor Volante you know why I am here. Recently you harmed a comrade in arms, Arda Breaux in a despicable matter. Your crime only added to the trauma she had already experience before liberation. Care to explain yourself?”

Castor would note in the commander’s voice he would not tolerate any nonsense in respond.

At ease.

That was a feeling he hadn't felt in some time and for good reason but he complied, shifting his stance slightly as he stood before the Alliance Commander. There was a moment's silence where nothing was said and Castor could just imagine the kind of thoughts that were going through the commander's mind.

Explain himself...

"Yes, Commander. I harmed Arda I... I can tell you that I didn't mean to do it. That I meant only to show her how scared I was for her and that it took me to a terrible place in that moment. I can tell you the truth - that I never meant to hurt her and I truly never meant to assault her in... in that manner and before I could apologize or take it back, it was over." he refused to look away, "It was a terrible mistake on my part and my part alone. I pushed too hard and it hurt her and that is a fact that cannot be disputed, no matter my intentions."

He paused.

"My intentions were not harmful. The actions were harmful regardless." he let out a slow breath, "You will judge me based on both, I know, and I accept any punishment you see fit. The only request I make is that regardless of what you decide, you take the bracelet from my wrist and give it to Arda - it was her's in the first place and I am not worth it any longer, if I ever was to begin with. I'd ask you to tell her I was sorry and that I never meant it... but that is something I must do myself if she decides she wishes to hear it."

He stilled, readying himself for the judgement of the commander.

Well at least he is not denying it. Hugo admitted to himself. Yet it does not change what must be done. Moreover there was something else Castor must answer for. The Durosian kept silent in a stone like manner as the other man finished with his explanation. For another minute or two Hugo had did not say another word, struggling to maintain his self-restraint.

The ex-Sith would sense the anger rising within blue humanoid and would realize there was more at hand. Subsequently the commander’s mouth curved with sheer disgust then said.

“Is there anything else you want to confess Volante? Like a certain mission you conducted on Tatooine while back with Mandalore Solus. Something neither I nor the other council members were aware of until recently.”

The prisoner would now see in Ion’s red eyes that he knew about what happened.

“Volanate you lost control of yourself there and lobotomized another being!” Pointing his left index finger toward Castor’s direction, he raised his voice. ”Yes I am aware it had been a vicious bastard, and innocent people had died but you still gave into the dark side. Moreover, kept the truth about your actions that day from the rest of us!” Calming himself down Hugo lowered the arm, but the ex-Sith would note the sense of betrayal written all over the expression.

“Do you deny these charges?”

Was there something else he wanted to confess? That... that kind of threw Castor for a loop if he was honest. There hadn't been any incidents anywhere near this level as far as he was aware so he was rather interested to know what it was. When the commander actually put it all together, Castor blinked once.

"Tatooine."

He frowned slightly.

"I remember the day - I've been spending months doing what I can to atone for it and forsake the Dark Side that brought me to that path. The mission was a self-imposed one before I was even allowed to enter the Alliance and long before the Mandalorian woman became Mandalor... and it was before I had had a single lesson with my Master." he grimaced, "It was the result of a man attempting to do Right when the only tools at his disposal were Wrong. At the time my sabers were still red, the Dark Side was still the only thing I had experienced and I had no methods to gain the information that were less destructive."

Castor swallowed thickly.

"Do I deny the charges? No. Do I regret them? Yes and I have done for months and I have studied the Light long and hard so that it won't happen again." he told the commander, "I regret many of my actions before I was given the chance to embrace the Light, Commander, and I am grateful that I have been given the chance."

Ion’s rage cooled as he heard Castor’s respond. His scowl disappeared into an expression of confusion. In the back of the Durosian’s mind, the commander pondered on what this could mean. If this really did happened before Castor officially joined the Alliance then why did Raz keep to herself until our last meeting? She does not strike me as a person who usually holds something back.

Considering the fact Castor Volante happened months ago, the Mandalore had plenty of time to inform him as an ally about this whole incident. Yet she did not, which in Ion’s point of view meant a certain possibility. That bloody hypocrite! Didn’t bother to tell me until it was conventional for her to use it for her own ends. New found contempt toward the Mandalore swelled within him.

Hugo’s red eyes turned back to Volante. The man despite being a former Sith until the incident with Arda had been a member of the Alliance and Jedi. Maybe he was lying about Tatooine or perhaps not. The human wasn’t showing any signs of lying and the rebel leader had been taught by Eli Reach resist force manipulation of the mind. Finally, his voice returned.

“Nevertheless you still kept the truth of this whole thing from us. Mandalore Solus used that incident to paint the Jedi in a bad light regardless of whether you were a member then or not.”

Arms crossing around the back and his chest straightening Hugo Ion at, last, issued, his decree.

“Castor Volante, for your crime against a fellow comrade I hereby sentence you to imprisonment of twenty five years to life. May the force have mercy on your soul.”

Done the Alliance commander turns around and exits the room. Later when Ion leaves, Volante will be escort to another ship to begin serving his sentence.
