Greybok poked his head around the corner of the empty ship stall in the Anchorhead spaceport. This was supposed to be an easy job. Some half-baked Weequay thugs were delivering a shipment of scatterweave to a lesser-known Hutt somewhere on Tatooine. But, for as rare and valuable as their cargo was, they were treating it rather nonchalantly. The two pilots had gone on a lunch break and had left their ship in a rather under-populated region of the spaceport, making it a rather easy target for opportunists like Greybok and his crew. The scatterweave they had was vital for his operation: to upgrade the Starbird and sell the rest to pay off his crew.

Their mission to Christophsis had gone... reasonably well. He hoped that this one would go more smoothly. If they could make into the ship, which was practically a siting duck, and make off with the scatterweave before they Weequay returned (and without notifying security at the spaceport), then they could be offworld this afternoon and head to Rodia, where Greybok planned to sell off the excess crystals and scatterweave to a fence.

The Wookiee was reasonably prepared for the task. He had his bowcaster for fighting purposes; he was wearing armor that contained a computer spike (just in case), and had more than enough crewmen to make off with the shipment if they played their cards right. If. He presently had Twobee's vocabultor turned off, too, because he knew the stupid droid head would certainly give them away with her complaining. Now, all he had to do was wait until his crew was in place... then it was go time. @Valen Pelora @Wit @Foolish Guac

OOC - The Weequay will return in three rounds of posting! We need to get the shipment without alerting security and before they get back! Here is the dice roll thread.

Jorrin adjusted the blaster on his hip, and was looking at the door the Weequay took on their way out. 'Hopefully this Hutt is lesser enough to not cause problems...'
Stepping past the Wookie, he said.
"One of us should watch those thugs. Wouldn't want them to get the drop on us..."
As his eyes scanned the port, he also noticed some guards. They weren't paying too much attention, it was Tattooine after all. But if they see Hutt goods being taken, they would almost certainly take action.

Yup, she was officially a criminal. First, stealing from two dopes and now thieving on Tatooine. Aurora was pretty sure there was some right of passage for the scum of the galaxy that they had to do something nefarious on Tatooine. Although, was it really a crime if you were stealing from other criminals? Her short blonde hair swayed as she shook her head. Kriff, she used to meditate and ponder the mysteries of the Force. Now, she wondered what technically made her a criminal while waiting to literally steal scatterweave. The Morellian Jedi Master resisted the urge to sigh in frustration. Aurora reminded herself the Alliance needed this Wookie and his ship. She could do without that damn droid. Thankfully, Greybok had turned the thing off for this part of their mission. Maybe it would take a blaster bolt and save them all some pain.

Greybok looked every part the fearsome wookie. By the Force, he was a little terrifying. Aurora had gone for a different approach, the more sandy bum look. Her traveling clothes were tattered, her boots scuffed, and her face sand covered. No one wanted to look at the downtrodden. Even on Tatooine. Her blaster was loosely in the holster on her right hip, concealed under her shoddy robes. The silver hilt of her Lightsaber was carefully tucked away in her shirt. That was a last resort only maneuver. She had managed to avoid that particular beacon of trouble despite a variety of rebel misadventures.

Aurora was slightly separate from Greybok and Jorrin. It would be less suspicious if they weren’t all huddled together. However, she would be ready once Greybok gave the signal. Aurora took one deep breath to steady her heart. Her mental walls were tightly constructed and her Force signature was suppressed. Today she was just a run of the mill rebel thief. No supernatural powers needed. Hopefully. Somehow, things never went exactly how she expected. @Wit @Foolish Guac @Malon

Alys liked this life of crime, she had wanted to get away from the boring and mundane life of her youth and stealing from people was definitely a change. So when Grey had asked her to fill in for one of his crew who was recuperating after some serious injuries, she had agreed almost instantly.

It had been a lot of fun the last time, so she was pretty excited to see what craziness they might encounter today. She didn't really know that other rebel who was part of Grey's crew, but she did know Aurora. She was actually rather surprised to see the Jedi Master there, a part of her had actually been scared of how Aurora might react to her involvement in this and her earlier escapades with Grey, but her being here definitely put her mind at ease.

Hidden behind a crate a little behind Grey, she had her blaster on the ready, and on the lookout for trouble just like the others. About as ready as she was going to be.

Greybok indicated ahead with his two fingers—the signal that it was time to go—and emerged from his hiding spot. Their early stealth had paid off. No one seemed to notice the band of rebels preying on the targeted freighter, which allowed him to stroll right up the landing ramp to the door. Unfortunately, the door was locked. But, never one to be caught off-guard, Greybok revealed a computer spike on his left wrist, which he plugged into the door panel. Less than a minute later, the door was unlocked and open.

He then signaled to his team using pre-arranged hand signals so that they could avoid using Twobee (who was monstrously noisy) to communicate. He signaled for Jorrin Pell to keep an eye out for the Weequay or any other dangers outside the ship. To the women, he signaled come on ahead and sneak on-board. He would be the last one in, just in case shit went south fast. Getting to the shipment shouldn't be too hard—it was getting the shipment off and out in time, and without making noise, that worried him.

He unstrapped his bowcaster and kept it close to him, just in case. A smuggler could never be too careful with his work. @Valen Pelora @Foolish Guac @Wit

Jorrin nodded, and walked parralel to the group, near the outside wall. Feigning a comm call, he stood to the right of the exit.
"I've been here for hours, is the shipment still coming?"
His comm was off, so it wouldn't be playing in the ears of the other team members. While he spoke, he kept an eye on spaceport security, and kept an ear out for people coming through the door.

OOC: Let the bad rolls begin, sorry fellas

Alysanne was right. Aurora did not like that her young student was involved in this thievery. The future of the Jedi Order should not involve becoming a criminal. Of course, she had been unable to dissuaded the girl. Alysanne had shown up before Aurora knew Greybok had asked. There had been no time for the Morellian Jedi to voice her displeasure. Thankfully, the mission was going well. Greybok signaled it was time to move and their little band set in motion. Jorrin was carefully on the watch for the ‘rightful owners of the merchandise.

Greybok hustled to the landing ramp of the ship. He quickly sliced their way inside before motioning for Aurora to follow. She nodded slowly, shooting Alysanne a look. Her meaning was clear. Stay safe. Do not be foolish. Aurora stepped lightly towards the ship. Her feet barely leaving a print on the sand. She walked slowly up the ramp, taking all due caution. Unfortunately, the Force had other ideas. The edge of her robe got caught under her foot. Aurora tried to catch herself, but even the Force couldn’t save her. She laid out on the ramp, falling on her hands and knees. The Jedi Master of nearly eight decades was reduced to a toddler in an instant.

Truly, truly, cripplingly embarrassing. Aurora quickly regained her feet and rushed into the ship. Her blaster slipping into her hand. She could only pray that her fall hadn’t been too noisy and she hand’t been seen. It was only through sheer force of will that redness didn’t rise in her cheeks. This was exactly what they did not need. Their mission was predicated on stealth. Falling on your face was the exact opposite of stealth. Aurora looked at Greybok once she was inside, simply shrugging. @Wit @Malon @Foolish Guac

At Grey's signal, Alys did a quick check of her blaster to make sure its power cells were fully charged and it was in stun mode. Once she was sure everything was in order she was ready to go. Crouched low and running towards the ship, coming to a stop besides Grey as he got to work on unlocking the ship. Catching Aurora's nod, she responded in kind, pretty sure she understood what the Jedi master wanted from her.

But once the door slid open and Aurora made to enter the ship, she tripped on something, standing behind her Alys wasn't able to see how or on what. but the next thing she knew Aurora was down on the ramp. Alys was already on the move and had to take a slightly longer step to the side to avoid stepping on Aurora, but the ramp was only so wide and she ended up stepping into empty space and stepped right off the ramp, landing in the dust and her blaster slipping out of her hand and landing on the ramp with a loud clang.

Pushing herself back to her feet almost at once, she jumped back onto the ramp and picked up her blaster, looking around in relief as it didn't look like anyone hadn't taken notice of the overly noisy Jedi. Mouthing a sorry to Grey, she turned around and followed Aurora up the ramp and into the ship.
