Loki, because I like your character, you're in, but you better rp each post at the very top of your game, and don't post unless its necessary for you to. This rp is going to be a cut above most, and I expect everyone to rp on the highest caliber possible.

So lemme update the roster real quick.

Roster is almost full.

Lets recap:

Me, Kupo, Lavi, Loki, Masq(?), Ols, Matt, Ruukil, Sin

I'm also asking Nexus and Drun, cause I like Nexus and Drun.

Duncan, I'll check out your character.

Idk if Nexus is joining, but I definitely want Drun in this. So as of now, the roster is booked with the pending people:

Nexus, Drun, Duncan, and Masq (since she still hasn't picked a character)

Duncan, because of your character, you're definitely in. Nexus might not join, so I won't write him down, and sadly I can't ask Drun because I have a stocked roster right now, though I'll do my best to weasel him in.

It'll be finalized tomorrow. Thank you everyone. I'm going to update roster info now. I'm keeping the thread open for a little bit.

I'm gonna try and follow a few personal rules for when you have this many characters:

They can't constantly stay together. I'm gonna have to split them up in groups either deliberately IC or by some twist of fate IC, but make sure they are able to come back together.

Scenery has to change mellifluously. If they stay in one place too long with nothing of interest happening than it does degenerate into crap. But if you just run through place after place, it doesn't flow and it still degenerates into crap.

There must be intercharacter dialogue. Not every post something exciting is going to happen, otherwise it will seem too rushed and much more like a video game with no graphics and minimal gameplay rather than a good literary rp. When the characters have the opprotunity to talk amongst eachother, it richens character relationships IC and builds a deeper storyline. Basically, its like the KotOR games where you can talk with the side protagonists. The difference is, there are limitless conversation choices and everyone is the main protagonist so everyone can talk with eachother and react accordingly.

I'm going to make an outline tree of events. I will have the main tree which gives the main bullets of events that are going to happen, as well as many branches that venture off, and will wind up attatching themselves back to the main tree. It'll be organized without taking away the freeform feel of the rp that everyone loves. Of course, this outline is for only me to see and I'll have to be constantly editing it due to the characters' choices and reactions to events. That will make new branches as well as destroy already existing ones I had plans for.

One of the most important things is the dialogue, in the sense that back-and-forth posting can wreak havoc on a thread. It can leave people frustrated and so far behind that they don't want to continue on and end up leaving the thread. Now while I'm not going to make a definite post rotation, because that will obstruct creativity and might actually ruin the flow of events, I do trust all the rpers in this thread. We're all, with one exception (Loki; but he's good imo), veteran rpers and highly skilled at what we do. Thats why we have several thousand posts and thats why people like us here. When, where, and what to post is at rper's discretion. All of you can see when back and forth posting will set in, and I trust we are all skilled enough to prevent it. However, do not worry, there are times when two people, or a small group of people, are in an IC conversation that while its important to those involved, it does not necessarily affect the flow of events. I'll set up opprotunities for these conversations, and if they happen when not set up, so long as they're not effecting the flow of the thread, back and forth posting will be allowed.

And Matt, thats my plan. Of course, this saga is going to take up several threads as I have realized, probably more than I planned but thats fine, but I am confident this will work out great. Oh, and I will be contacting rpers via pm to inform them of a little plot twist here or there so they'll be in on it. Basically, I'm the GM and everyone involved is an assisstant GM for the fact that I will need to inform them a few posts in advance about certain situations in order to make it flow right.

However, if anyone has any questions or comments about the thread, or more importantly, how to keep the thread from degenerating into crap, feel free to post so we can discuss.

So Matt, does my plan seem ok? lol
