A gentle ride through space

((Yeah I need to get used to writing with Jaz as he's flying so yeah and also small notice this is a no killing thread..a little pew pew here and there is fine, but hey maybe being in this thread will help you guys too happy happy joy joy XD just been reminded bout something but this takes place after the battle of klatooine..and before people say something Jaz did escape from Xam and got the ok from cortan for my guy's escape))

"Tch...who's the idiot who singing this song...I swear if it's Sandy mucking around with my fighter I'm so going to do the same on her freighter" Jaz muttered as he was certain that the song was so loud that it might even resonated outside..though was that even possible who knows either way it was a added challenge to fly the ARC-360 within a asteroid field that was closing in slowly.

"Check...check...and that....there check right" For anybody who was watching from nearby or from afar they would see Jaz's fighter tilting left and right, it's weapons systems powering up, before shutting down and his shield becoming active what he was doing was making sure everything was in good working condition before he tested his skills in the asteroid field, and soon enough he flew his fighter forward and into the asteroid field which gave Jaz abit of a da-ja-vu from his time in the 112th mynock squadron...kriff even his fighter was painted exactly the same as his time in the squadron.

What could go wrong?

Jake sate in the cockpit of his rouge fighter in deep meditation. When all of a sudden his proximity alert alarm sounded. Some moron just skimmed past the asteroid Jake had landed on. Bring his ship's systems online Jake pulled in behind the ARC-360.

Oh great that was annoying somebody had decided to use the asteroid field as a hiding place to do whatever and now it was following him from behind switching on his weapons incase the unknown contact decided to take a shot at him because his weapons were off..well if it was a pirate thinking that Jaz was a easy mark to fight the person was in for a surprise.

"...Right.."Jaz muttered darkly as he waited to see what the unknown contact will do now his weapons were powered up, and was now weaving past different sizes of asteroids ducking weaving and even at times flying through the gaps in some of them as well, he wanted to know how good this pilot was.. besides so far the person hadn't done anything hostile to Jaz...just yet but the person following him didn't say a word after getting behind Jaz's ARC-360

Jake wonderd why some one was flying though the astroid field. It was not somthing normal people did. Still it brock no laws. Non the less Jake kept behind the fighter and followed it. Opening up communcastion Jake spoke to the other pilot. "You know if you just tell me where you gooing I won't have to follow you"

As Jaz flew around, through, over and under the asteroids he heard the pilot following him talking to him and as soon as he heard what the person had to say..he realised something he had heard that voice before

"What was that person's name..what was it"Jaz muttered as he thought of how to answer the question and just as he got his answer he remember who the voice belonged to..it was the jedi Jake

"I'm currently putting my ship through it's paces and practicing my flying skills..and by the way it's me"Jaz started to say before he pulled his fighter up and above the asteroids waiting for Jake to follow him before he slowed down to the point he was flying to the kid's right side

"It's Jaz..the person you met some time ago you remember?" now hopefully the kid wouldn't pick up on the fact that he had changed..for the worse, due to the battle of klatooine it wouldn't be a good thing for the kid to realise that he was indeed a cartel member so incase he asked he would have to think of a cover story

Jake brought his rouge over Jazze's fighter and went inverted and waved at Jazz. "Well hi there. Glade to see you got a ship now. I am glad for you."

"Yeah it took me a while to find this ship I'm just putting it through it's paces and see what I might need to adjust"Jaz said looking up at Jake who was now flying upside down above him, now that was teasing...but it wasn't really after all Jaz could do the same to Jake, but that was abit of a waste, as he needed to focus incase somebody else decided to drop in and unlike Jake decided to fire at the two..but the chances of that was slim but at the same time Jaz wasn't expecting to run into anybody in the asteroid field either and yet he managed to find Jake there.

"Say what were you doing in there anyway?"Jaz asked before getting annoyed with the song that was resounding through his cockpit, and so Jake would hear Jaz angrily muttering about find Sandy and pranking her, followed by some noise of things being moved around as Jaz was trying to figure out where the damned tune was coming from

"me, I was just sleeping, yep I sleep in my fighter, so if you really want to test your draft we can have race?"

Sleeping...in a starfighter in the middle of a asteroid field Jaz wasn't sure if that was really true, but of course he didn't have any evidence that Jake had done anything else so he would have to accept what the kid has told him, then heard about what else he had to say something about racing Jake well that would test his skills..of course he wouldn't need his weapons in that case so if it did come down to a race he could simply switch the power from his weapons to his engines.

"Sure thing it'll probably be just as fun as the swimming race" and with that he waited to see if there was anything else Jake had in mind before he followed the rouge fighter

With that Jake through power to all engines as the rouge shot off. moveing at high speed Jake kept close to the asteroids as tried to use both his speed and agltie to stay ahead.

"Try to keep up" after hearing this Jaz couldn't help but smirk racing was good..however racing in a asteroid field required skill, and luck, and so lunching his craft forward and into the asteroid field below he started to move his craft skilfully trying his bes tto avoid smashing into a asteroid for the painfully obvious reason, but also having the situational awareness to make sure nobody was getting behind him, as he had a feeling that being in the field was going to block his scanners,,or maybe he was completely wrong he wasn't sure.

"..."powering his weapons off he then the power there without changing things around as he tried to catch a glimps of where Jake was, and also make sure he wasn't going to collide with Jake or the asteroids

Jake really did feel sorry for Jazz. In this race Jakes highly tuned reflexes due to his Jedi training gave him a edge. Still Jake could see Jazz out the corner of his eye has he moved gracefully through the field, every now and then his shield lighting up as a small rock hut and bounced off it.

Now for not being a jedi or at least force sensitive Jaz was doing well in keeping up with Jake, however he needed to at least once be in the lead, even if it was for a nano-second, and even though he was saving the weapon power for emergencies he transftered the power from his weapons to his engines to give him a lot more thrust he decided to go over and then dive back down twisting his fighter around a rather large boulder and as he flew by it was getting rather close to smashing into his fighter's wing, now how embaressing would it be the accidently get his wing taken off because of a crazy stunt..which was probably what people would say he had just done .

"Ah..that was close..I wouldn't want to be left stranded here..I reckon not a lot of people would realised i'm here until it was too late"Jaz muttered forgetting the fact he had left his communicator on, besides if he got into trouble who would have helped him, the cartel, probably if he sent out a distress call, the imperium fat chance they were more likely to just blow him up than help...well if they knew he was a enforcer for the cartel, and the rebels....slim chance but a small one at that

Jazz came down in front of Jake so close that Jake all most flew in to his ass. With no room to overtake Jake had to slow down and tail him. He then heard Jazz speak to him self. Jake wonders if Jazz had just forgotten about him being here.

"Jazz? Do you really think I would just abandon you here? Any Jedi would wold come to your aid if they where close enough and I am right here"

Well luckly Jaz hadn't seen how close he was to crashing into Jake's fighter that had he seen how kriffing close he was he would have mentally slapped himself over the head but as it was Jaz's crazy stunt had put him in the lead even if it was a dangerous way to do that..he would have to remember that fact that if he accidently cripped both their fighters they would be stuck in the asteroid field with little to no means of getting out without getting smashed by one of the asteroids.

"Jazz? Do you really think I would just abandon you here? Any Jedi would wold come to your aid if they where close enough and I am right here" he had Jake on his comms so think of a answer to the question the red head shook his head as he twisted his fighter around avoiding a asteroid as he spoke

"No I don't think you won't..i was just thinking of if I was on my own..but never mind my mind's paranoia,returning to the cockpit of a starfighter's bring back some old memories" and with that he sped forwards so his fighter was further ahead and less likely to cause a collision between himself and the poor jedi who probably wasn't expecting him to do something like that at all

"Jazz you not alone, if you ever get stranded on some asteroid or planet you just need to call me. If I need to invaded a imperial prison I shall do so"

"Heh something would be wrong if I was in a imperial prison, so I don't intend on going there"Jaz said smirking before he noticed that they were reaching the end of the asteroid field just one asteroid to go and this was a really large one...rotating as it drifted in space well at least it didn't need to be blown apart..not that Jaz's fighter had the power to blow it up and that by doing that it might make it a lot more dangerous

"..." focusing on the task at hand he ignored Jake's fighter flying behind him as he was sure the kid would be able to handle it, waiting for the best moment he held onto his flight stick ready to snake his craft around the object and then climb up and away from the asteroid field and then proceed to tilt his craft left and right to get a better view of the situation behind him hopefully the kid didn't damage his fighter avoiding the big asteroid

Jake diverted all power from his guns to his engines rolled in bellow Jazz going the opposite side around the asteroid, his engines blasting dust of the asteroid in to space has he hugged it.

Looking around behind him he couldn't see where Jake was so he spun his craft around going inverted and then he saw that Jake did make it through and he was underneath him now this time Jaz waved to Jake cheekily before he rolled back over to Jake's right side once more before sighing quietly wondering what was going to happen next..but overall he was happy he managed to test out his flying skills again, and test the capabilities of his fighter.

"Ah..that was fun..Now what else to do"and once again Jake would likely hear some more sounds as Jaz was trying to figure out what he was going to do next to test his fighter..but it didn't seem likely that he would find anything useful to do regarding his fighter

Matching his speed with that of Jazz Jake sat back to relax a bit "well what is it that you still need to do. You handel your fighter all right, even though she is a rather fat bird"
