A Fine Line To Cross

Once the droid left the room it took only a couple minutes before the main man walked in. Anthoni was glad he came, if he could not fight his way out he needed to talk his way out. Anthoni sat up straighter against Keiyara's bed, and put on a poker face. "I understand you wanted to see me, Jedi? And, please, don't mind the droid- ownership is a touchy subject for him." the man said to Anthoni.

Anthoni decided he would skip the formalities and get on with business. "I know who you work for, I know how much the two of us are worth and i know you guys are going to send us away soon. I called you in here to negotiate a deal with you. Now i know thirty thousand credits apiece is a lot of money for you and your crew. I am aware that you are hired by Mr.Black to take us to him. I am asking you reconsider what you are about to do. Mr.Black is not a trustworthy man, he will stab you in the back as soon as you drop the two of us off."

This is as far as Anthoni's plan got. He would trade himself for Keiyara, but why would the bounty hunter just take him? There was no bigger reward it was not going to be a good deal for the bounty hunter. Anthoni would try anyways. "Okay here's what i have to offer, Me. Just take me and leave Keiyara alone, Mr.Black will take me and i might be able to convince him i know where Keiyara is. Maybe i could get you a better price for her i don't know. Do this and i will tell you the coordinates of my ship The Vesper. She may be ugly but she can fly, I am sure you can find use for her. All i ask is you leave Keiyara alone and send her on her way."

Anthoni looked at the man with a pleading look. He knew it was a terrible deal, but it was all he had. This was his last desperate attempt for the girls freedom. Anthoni cursed himself, Why did this always happen to him? I guess you could call it a combination of bad luck and poor planning.

Vandis sent the only other guard in the room with Anthoni away, sat on a crate next to Anthoni and spoke.
"I'll tell you what. I bring you both to him, collect my credits, then aide you in your escape from my...employer."
Vandis removed his helmet and he looked sincere.
"As i have no reason to trust you, you also have no reason to trust me. But I heard the pain in your girlfriends voice. It still echoes in my mind, that...wanting, that...hurt. I'm a bounty hunter, first and foremost, but...I try to do good. I just want credits...I need them. I have an, addiction, we'll say, and i need credits to fulfill it. So once i have my credits, all nice and secure, I'll help you."
Vandis knew what he was saying was crazy, but he meant it. He wanted to help these people, but he needed droids, companionship, and credits were his gateway to them.

Anthoni listened to the man with full attention. He could not believe what he was saying. Would this man help us? OR would he just back stab us as soon as he got the chance. Anthoni did not trust him, Why go through all the hassle to get us just to let us escape in the end. It did not make sense, even though Anthoni could tell his face was sincere, he still had his doubts. Anthoni has never really trusted anyone before and that seems to be the only thing that kept him alive.

That being said, Anthoni would not let his trust issues endanger Keiyara. What the hell has gotten into me where i care so much? Anthoni desided to trust this man. All he said was "Okay take us to him and have my lightsaber close to me."

 

[Venk]

"Your lightsaber will be in my backpack; when you need it, it will be there for you. I can't have it any closer without the other mercs getting suspicious. We're heading to your bounty placer soon, so get ready."
After that, Vandis left and contacted Mr Black's employee.
"We got them, we're heading to the rendezvous point now."
Afterwards, he sent Aiden back to his ship to fly with them. One of the mercs flew Keiyara's ship, with Vandis' ship flying closely behind them. They would be meeting Mr Black's representitives at ((OOC: where are we meeting?)) for the "exchange".

Keiyara cursed the men holding her and cried out to the ones holding Anthoni. "I'll kill you dead, you hear me? I'll kill you all!"

The man holding her made sure she wasn't going anywhere and picked his boot off her back. She then sat back up and glared at them all. She watched them all moving around and the droid coming in requesting the leader. Keiyara watched him walk off and she said to the droid.

"Release me, you mechanical scrap pile. Release me now!"

(( OOC: We're going to Corellia. And yall need to take a different ship because hers doesn't work ))

 

[Venk]

((A change of plans, then.)) Aiden ignored Keiyara's cry and walked away.

Instead, everyone was loaded onto Vandis' ship. Aiden was piloting, the mercs were all resting or playing games in the lounge, and Vandis was sitting in his main cargo room with Anthoni and Keiyara. He was sitting on a crate, currently looking at Keiyara.
"Feeling better yet? I can get cushions, if you would like."

((OOC: Well so much for the Vesper, guess he will go back for it lol))

Anthoni was brought into the cargo hold of and placed next to Keiyara. It seemed strange after all of this hassle to be permitted to just sit next to her now. This man was definitely the weirdest bounty hunter Anthoni has ever seen. Anthoni was still aware of the piece of metal in his boot. He was tempted to use it now, but he knew it was suicide. So instead he would wait for the right time, maybe this guy would see them unharmed.

Anthoni listened to the man ask Keiyara if she wanted any cushions. Weird man just weird. Anthoni could not help but smile as the man asked her then he added "I am sure the princess would like that very much." It always amused Anthoni when he called a woman princess. There reactions always seemed to differ. Then he looked at her and whispered "Also next time you send me to come and rescue you, maybe you should give me a heads up on how many people there were."

Anthoni said the last part with a laugh, He liked laughing before he was to die.

The men helped Keiyara to her feet and basically dragged her over to Vandis' ship. She fought against them a little, trying to be difficult. When she saw that Anthoni was awake and walking easier than she, she stopped fighting and cooperated. Eventually one of them gave her some slack and allowed the Jedi to walk herself.

When they all got to the ship she was sat next to Anthoni and the mercs split up. She began to think of a battle plan and gave Anthoni an angry glare.

" Why are you so calm? "

Before he could answer Vadis asked her,
"Feeling better yet? I can get cushions, if you would like."

She looked at him for a long minute before responding," " You're kidding.... "

"I am sure the princess would like that very much, "

She would turn to Anthoni and have him another glare," " Please don't call me that in front of them... "

He'd laugh and turn to her, whispering,
"Also next time you send me to come and rescue you, maybe you should give me a heads up on how many people there were."

With an angry tone she whispered back," " Hey, I told you to run. Not come after me like a fool! "

 

[Mr.BossMan]

"If you really thought i was going to leave you, then your the foolish one." Anthoni would whisper back to Keiyara, in a calm tone. Then he added "Plus i got this all planned out just wait an see." He lied to her with a smile. Anthoni did seem calm for some reason, even though he was undoubtedly in danger. For the first time Anthoni realized that maybe he was a little crazy.

Then Anthoni looked back at the bounty hunter. "How much longer tell we get there, these bindings are starting to hurt my wrist."

 

[Venk]

"We'll be at the rendezvous in an hour. Plenty of time for you to explain to your girlfriend why I'm being nice and not zapping her."

 

[Mr.BossMan]

Anthoni nodded his head at the bounty hunter then he spoke to Keiyara. "This man is going to take us to Mr.Blackm then shoot us in the back.....Nah i'm just playing. Well he is going to take us to Mr.Black, get his reward money and then help us escape. Simple as that really. He'll keep our sabers close and...." Anthoni was about to say he had a metal shard in his boot. But decided against it, He needed that as a last resort. "And i think we can do this."

He looked at Keiyara and gave her the best look of confidence he could muster. Weather or not she was confident was another matter entirely. "Also i might add, we still need to look like were captured and completely helpless. Another thing, if this is to go down smoothly, do as Black wants. But for any reason what so ever if Black splits us up we need to act as fast as possible. Is this clear?"

 

[Venk]

"Considering you're shackled and have shock collars on your necks I think you'll play the part of captives just fine."
Just then, Aiden burst through the door.
"Sir! We are making unexpectedly good progress in terms of getting to the rendezvous point. We should arrive in about fifteen minutes." After that, Aiden returned to piloting the ship.

 

[EmilyHuene]

He's going to help us escape? " she repeated with scepticism. She turned to Vandis and asked, "What kind of lousy bounty hunter are you?"

She then heard the other man come in and she listened to him say they would soon be in Corellia. They'd end up setting down in a factory several miles outside one of the main cities, so avoid suspicion.

Keiyara, not helping her cause, would say again to the leader, "Listen you gorram fool, Black is going to shoot you down the second you land. He cannot be trusted. You really think he's just going to hand 30 Gs over? No! Now let us go!"

Vandis gazed in Keiyara's direction for a few moments before responding.
"If you insult me, or respond rudely again, I will send a very powerful electrical burst thoughout your boyfriend's body. I am trying to help you, and if you won't treat me with the level of respect ive shown you i'll have no choice but to make things unpleasant. Are we clear?"

 

[EmilyHuene]

Keiyara listened to her captor's threats but all she did was turn her head and say smugly, "I don't make deals with bounty hunters." Even still, she stayed quiet. She didn't fully trust these people; she had no idea who they were or what they were capable of. So long as she was in bondage, she was on her own.

A little more than ten minutes later the ship would be entering Corellia and making its way over to the outskirts of one of the larger cities. When the ship would dock, they would land in a small wasteland where four other ships were waiting. Several armed men were already waiting outside, Mr. Black was with them. He was sitting next to a very large box which, one would presume, was the credits for Keiyara's capture.

Vandis had only smirked at Keiyara's smugness. Soon, he'd be done with them. He did want to help them, it was true. But as he said, credits come first. Vandis left the room and dropped off his backpack- with the lightsabers in it -in the cockpit. He had the rest of the mercs come out with them, guiding Anthoni and Keiyara out into the clearing. Aiden and Vandis stood next to each other, looking at Mr. Black and the box. The others were making Anthoni and Keiyara kneel in front of the two.
"Alright, sir. We have the two bounties here, clear as day. Now, just as formality, can you show us the credits before we, uh, deliver them to you? Just to be sure, as I'm sure you're aware."

Anthoni and Keiyara where led outside in a desolate wasteland. You could see for miles in every direction, Running away on foot was out of the question. Anthoni and Keiyara where kneeling in front of the bounty hunter, and Mr.Black. Anthoni looked at Mr.Black and they made eye contact, Black smiled at him in the most evil of ways. Anthoni did not say a word, he only stared, then the bounty hunter spoke.

"Alright, sir. We have the two bounties here, clear as day. Now, just as formality, can you show us the credits before we, uh, deliver them to you? Just to be sure, as I'm sure you're aware." Anthoni thought it fair enough for black to show the money first, but he doubted Black would. Anthoni immediately focused on his surroundings. Black had a total of eight men where as the bounty hunters had five. Anthoni really wished he had his Saber, but he was ready to use that shard of metal tucked away in his boot.

After a minute of doing nothing Mr.Black got off of the crate he was sitting down on. Then he spoke directly to Anthoni and Keiyara. "Time has caught up with you two. I will soon have the both of you, and i will soon see you both suffer." Anthoni did not say a word only stared at the man. Then Mr.Black looked at the bounty hunter and clapped his hands excitedly. "Vandis i see you are a man who can get things done. I have to admit i am suprised you pulled this off. Those two are very....elusive. I lost six good men to that one right there. I almost died with them, but i made it out."

He then whistled loud and sharply, two men came out each carrying a briefcase. They opened their brief cases and inside Anthoni saw the credits. Then they closed them. "Now hand them over Vandis."

Anthoni then whispered to Keiyara, so only she could hear. "If this goes south, run to the ship and grab our saber's. There in a bag inside the cockpit." Keiyara was faster then Anthoni. Also Anthoni had a weapon so he might be able to hold off a couple people. Don't be stubborn about this Keiyara.

 

[Venk]

"I'll send my droid over to pick up the credits, then you'll get your cargo."
After that, Vandis nodded to Aiden and the droid started walking over to Mr. Black and his men. Vandis held his rifle in his hands, just in case something went wrong.

 

[Mr.BossMan]

"No no no no Vandis, I understand you have brought the cargo. I have brought the money, but it appears my ten men outnumber your five. So now that i have found these two, and they are in front of me why would i pay you? No no no that is just bad business and as you may know, successful men such as myself would not be in there position with bad business." Suddenly everyone in Mr.Blacks payroll readied there guns.

"Leave the Jedi alive, but the Bounty Hunters i could care less about what happens to them." Then Mr.Black turned around and walked to his ship. One of Mr.Blacks men walked over to try and lift Keiyara. Anthoni immediatly reached for the shard of metal in his boot. Then he planted it inside of the thugs neck. As the man fell Anthoni severed the bindings on Keiyaras hands then did his own. Another man was running to take the two force sensitives. "Keiyara sabers now!" he yelled at her, then he tackled the man.

Anthoni's feet where still tied but he managed to bring him down. Anthoni was about to stab him, but he lost his shard. Looking around for it he saw it was a foot away. Anthoni reached for it but he was struck in the face by the man. Then the man was ontop of him strangling him. Anthoni tried to push him off but could not. Anthoni kept his left hand on the mans wrist and used his right to find the Shard. He tried to pick it up but he kept fumbling for it. He wiggled his body closer to the shard then he picked it up and took out the mans throat.

Gasping for air Anthoni saw a man was about to shoot down Keiyara, as ahe ran for Vandis ship. Anthoni threw his metal shard and it went inside of his stomach. He cursed as he fell to the ground then he shot at Anthoni. Anthoni moved the body of the man on top of him and used him as a human shield. As the blaster fire riddled the dead mans body Anthoni pulled out his blaster pistol then shot at the man with a quick burst. He hit him and the man was dead.

Hurry with those damn saber Keiyara Anthoni thought to himself. Because he knew they would all surely die if she did not return soon.

Vandis shot two of blacks men as soon as he had said no- he wasn't just going to wait for him. Aiden pulled out a pistol and shot one of the men carrying a brief case and grabbed it, running back to Vandis' ship.
"Kriffing moron..." Vandis muttered, as the mercs around him shot others and got shot down. Vandis covered his droid as it ran towards him, briefcase in one hand and pistol in another.
