The city was bustling with activity and life, unaware of the destruction and mayhem it was about to receive. In the city lied a group of anti-empirilists calling themselves the "White Arrowheads" hellbent on forming up a large enough rebellion to overthrow the empire and install their own privatized form of tyrannical dictatorship. It would only seem logical that Jace would be hand picked for this quarrel. However, he didn't go alone. An old friend of his had joined him, Leksa, the sorceress.

"Seems peaceful, yeah?" Jace asked to Leksa as they stood in the street, looking up to the grey sky where clouds were passing over head. It was dark, and the rain was falling slowly but surely.

"It only seems that way, Jace. You of all should realize that. You know that stupid gang is watching us," came Leksa's curt response. "How's Slypher?"

"She's in a tournament," Jace said as he started to walk, pulling his hood over his head. Leksa ran to catch up with him, a look of surprise on her face.

"A what?!"

"You know, for acolytes. We told you before we left."

"You didn't imply just like you did now!"

"And you can tell that how?"

"**** it."

"Shh!" Jace said, stopping dead in is tracks. His eyes searched the environment warily before he drew his lightsabers and ignited them. Leksa did the same when she saw him grab his. He kept his head on a swivel, feeling something odd out there.

Vaihaal nodded to the dealer, slipping him a few credits and made off with her goods, slipping them into her robes with a grin. She loved being in the Empire, particularly when she got to be around her shady counterparts. Especially when she was able to gather information. A fresh supply of death sticks were just was she needed and she couldn’t wait to use them. Perhaps she would introduce the hallucinogen to her friends on Kesh.

It was true that death sticks could screw you up when you needed to use the force, and health wise, but she still enjoyed them when not dealing with something serious. The Keshiri was tempted to use one of them now, but she didn't in case it would make her weak in her feelings of the force. There was something off about the area at the moment and she didn't like it. Maybe it had to deal with the information she had heard about a resistance movement gathering in the area. But, she went about her business as usual, and like usual, she was concealing her force signature, though she didn't really need to. An empty soul with hard to break habits.

Reaching out through the force she felt two acolytes that seemed to be on edge, and made her way to them, leaning on a wall near them observing the one with the ignited lightsabers. Vaihaal wasn't someone they would recognize, not many people would actually. She had been away for so long, but she made her presence known to the acolytes never the less. "You're antsy, little acolytes." She smiled, a little laugh on her lips.

Jace's attention immediately turned to the girl leaning against the wall. She was a force sensitive, he could sense that much, but there was something else about her. Something that made him only slightly uncomfortable. There was a small craving that was present in her force signature, something that put a small streak in her aura. It was an addiction. Though to what, he couldn't tell. His grip on his sabers tightened.

"There's something off in the air. We've a small right to be edgy," Jace said. Leksa softly gripped his arm, telling him to calm down.

"We're here to squash a squabble of rebels in the sector. Who are you?" She asked.

"Young acolytes with... a right to be edgy?" Vaihaal found humor in this. "See... people like me can feel that coming off you quite easily. It hinders you, because if I can feel it, others can too. Especially when sent to squash said rebels from a sector. You don’t know if they have force sensitives in their ranks or not. " She replied, not giving her rank away, not just yet. She would toy with the children for entertainment that she had not had access to for a while.

"Has no one in the academies taught either of you about stealth? I’m surprised. While I was away has the teaching of acolytes become so distastefully lax?” She waved her hand at the girls question and stepped forward, releasing her force signature so that the acolytes would feel the full brunt of her power before quickly concealing it once more. “I my dear young acolyte, am someone who will remain nameless to you until I see fit to give you my name.”

"It seems as though you mean to challenge us," Leksa said, igniting her lightsaber. She felt the quick release of energy, such great power. She must have been a crusader or even a master. Leksa was not one to cower away from a fight, though. Her father was a master, even if Slypher was the one who killed him, she still would have been able to do it herself. She was confident she could hold her own.

"With all due respect, you must be someone of high rank in the order. I'm honored we get to prove our worth," Jace said, igniting his own pair of darksabers, assuming his battle stance. It would be a fun duel, indeed.
