Somewhere on Siskeen.
The behemoth that rested in front of them was once a force to be reckoned with, but no more. Years of neglect had allowed it to fall into ruin, with entire sections crumbling or being overtaken by nature. Of what was still standing, only a portion was actually habitable. It was there the Society of Friends and their army of ancient droids could be found.
Jodoc laid among weeds with friends Krahtala and Kurs, devising a plan. Less than a hundred yards ahead of them old B2 super battle droids roamed, patrolling some programmed route. They were dumb products of dumb men. They would be easily bested. The problem at hand was the Verpine inside the derelict fortress. Together, they were a thousand times smarter than Jodoc and his companions. Finding a way to outsmart the Verpine was the key to their success.
Truth be told, when the once Mandalorian was offered this job he was bloody surprised. Failure had become his way of life, first as Mandalore the Vindictive and then as a bounty hunter, somehow letting Mak the bitch get away. He had resigned himself to petty crime for the last several months, believing himself worthy of little more. Someone, somewhere, thought otherwise.
So here Jodoc was, laying in weeds, swatting bugs off his skin, de facto leader of this mission, afraid to kriff up.
"Alright, boys," he whispered to his companions. "Any ideas?"
