DESCRIPTION
The 4T system patrol skiff is a light spacecraft manufactured by Houk Finished Assemblies, marketed primarily to law enforcement agencies for in-system patrol, interdiction and light search-and-rescue duty. Used by various local police services, the craft has come to symbolize civic authority in many systems throughout the Galaxy. It has also become popular with bounty hunters.16 meters long with a unique hook-shaped fuselage, the 4T is flown by a crew of 3, including a pilot, 1 co-pilot and 1 sensor/communications officer. The co-pilot and sensor/comm officer are not strictly necessary to pilot the ship, but do operate the ship's 2 side-mounted medium laser turrets in the event of combat, while the pilot operates the twin fixed ion cannons located underneath the cockpit. The ship also has a tractor beam located in the upper mandible, allowing it to latch on to enemy vessels or push disabled ones. Overall, the craft is fast for its size, capable of a top speed of 75 MGLT and decent maneuverability. It also has a class 4 hyperdrive, giving the 4T the option to pursue suspect ships fleeing a system.
In addition to the crew, the 4T is equipped to carry 2 passengers. The seats for both of these passengers are equipped with individual prisoner restraint systems, using a variation of particle screen technology to physically immobilize the occupant when the system is active.
