So just wanted to get your guys opinion on this idea I had for a bit of technology. Not sure if it is viable for approval or not, seeing as we have some rules about technology being not as advanced. Just wanted to get some input before I went to far in.

Affiliation: Outer Rim territories

Ownership: Soon to be made character Ve'kas'siir.

Intent: It is an interesting way to balance force users and non force users with a device used to give select non force users a high range of mobility and unpredictability. It is specifically made for one of my characters, but will be free to use with justification by others.

Model/Name: 1.2 Clingtrap Prosthetic

Type: Exotic leg prosthetic

Power Supply:
(What kind of power source does your device have? How long does it last before requiring recharging, replacement, or refueling? Generic power cells and fuel cells are examples of simple power supplies. Omit this part if it is not necessary for your device – ie, a crowbar doesn't have to have a battery.)

Size: 1.2 meter diameter from center of torso to edge of each "foot" when legs are least extended.

Composition: (What kind of metals, polymers, or other materials is your device made out of?)

Description:

The 1.2m Clingertrap possesses four legs that spring out from around the waist in a form similar to that of a spider. The waist holds a base for the legs and a rotator plate, which allows the user on top of it to rotate 360 degrees around, or alternatively cause all four legs to spin in a circle. The rotator plate is freely floating on a series of wheels, allowing someone to bend down or backwards. Each of the four legs has a clawed structure where each "foot" would be. These claws are sharpened, and can be used to grip onto walls. This is aided by a small static cling generator that lets it hang horizontally and upside down. It's free floating rotator plate is most often used when suspended horizontaly, as a user can cause it to bend in the direction he/she chooses So that they remain upright, or at any angle they need. This helps in aiming. One of its most prominent abilities is its ability to aid in jumping and evasion. It can spring itself about 10 meters in the air at its height, jumping and clinging from rooftops and walls with ease.

*Features: (If the description gives you trouble, you can fill out a list of features instead and omit the description. If you filled out the description, omit this part of the template.)

I'm sorry to say it man, but it's incredibly unlikely this Will be approved, for a number of reasons.

1. This seems fairly advanced, especially for a prosthetic. This timeline has a very hard emphasis on having a lower level of tech, and this tech could already be denied because of that.

2. Basically anything created specifically to balance force users against non-force users is going to be denied. If there is another purpose for it, maybe it could get through on that front.

3. I'm general, I just have a hard time seeing this getting through. Its essentially Grievous legs and pretty far fetched for where we're at in the timeline.

I figured that it had some issues. I really just thought it would be a cool original tech for my character, then figured it would be cool for other people's characters too. What might I do to make this a bit more approvable?

I guess try toning the whole thing down a ton? Having essentially Grievous legs won't be approved. But incorporating a bit of the spirit behind this into something less over the top might work.

It's main function is supposed to focus on mobility. The high jumping speed could be toned down, but the wall/ceiling crawling was an integral part of the concept. Perhaps if I found a less technobabble dependent way to do that

It's not like the effect will change though.
