Instead of being a sith-like jedi, a more canonized class or type would be Vaapad. Used most notably by Mace Windu and Quinlas Vos (among others), it is the seventh lightsaber form. Due to its vicious, aggressive nature, it is at the fringes of the dark side and maintaining one's "light side" is difficult

In contrast, its Sith alternative, Juyo, is used by most notable Sith such as Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and others.
