    While it's not impossible for a droid to wield one, you'd still need to acquire the crystal to create the lightsaber. The crystal needs to be imbued with the Force to be used, which droids definitely can't do.

    Well, the droid could get a jedi to do it, or scavenge a saber. So it's not impossible to have one.
