For the Frisssk bounty, the original reason for his bounty was for a failed beast capture: a katarn, AND loaned money for said expedition (weapons, food, fuel) which is why he's wanted dead - he disappeared after. However if your character would help and keep him alive, maybe Frisssk found somebody with a stash of money and a katarn on Hoth? Or something like that. Completely up to you to dictate the story, we just provided a background.
Dead is much easier, and cheaper - but if you'd like to turn him in alive I would suggest bringing a katarn or some credits along as well to soften the blow, because they might end up killing him when you turn him in anyway without either. Hutts are pretty much assholes when it comes to their money.
