And making an old man with no training physically best a young force user with a military background is bad writing.

The cynic in me says that what I should do to min max this timeline is to ignore role playing entirely and to make all of my characters young, physically able, force users with a variety of military skills because punching someone in the face is what will win.

So two of my three characters will not be combat focused and one of them will be an old man. They clearly won't be running into the thick of the battle but if they are attacked do they just die or would NPC body guards or security droids be able to defend them?

I suppose it's an assumption on my part. They already created a galactic map populated by plenty of planets. If they allow custom planets someone will have to be in charge of plugging them into the official map which will be a pain and a half and then all the factions would have to do to win is...
