Great! All we need now is a place of dueling! I'm thinking we both get picked up by some pirates on a ship, and we end up escaping while slaughtering all the pirates in the process. Then the ship takes a lot of damage and crash towards some sort of water world, where we fight on the sinking ship. Then we escape on the remaining 2 escape pods just in time to escape the sinking... How does that sound? Keep in mind that because of all the dynamic elements that this duel may get kind of complicated while interacting with the elements. Otherwise we can just do a simple duel while meeting up somewhere neutral.

I only say neutral because if we meet up in one of our ships, then we'd have to deal with the crew/damages that occur to that ship...

Maybe we can fight in some sort of complex or ruins while it starts to downpour? I'm talking heavy rain that will drench you in seconds! Then we can navigate the outside world trying not to succumb to the natural elements.

For your post, might I recommend taking a few steps back? If the blade is riding up Jake's arm, keep in mind it just went from being three feet to six feet (dual phase), so that would actually slice through his arm going up, if not do some pretty major damage that would probably send Jake into shock...

You described Marco as wounded and unarmed, so Rolland would be the priority, hence why weapons aimed at you and Etches (as prior to Delun's arrival) since they had to choose the two most dangerous targets.

Rolland isn't viewed as the hero here. To them, he's a bad guy, just like the pirates, so the gun an easily be due to wanting revenge, trying to take him hostage, wanting to kill him, etc. Kali warned him once, she's not going to warn Rolland again. They (at least she) know you got imprisoned and others betrayed Rolland. But they're here to take over, and are willing to let pirates surrender. Kali and the Kushari already agreed that if a person, regardless of who they are, doesn't surrender, they are to be taken out. That applies towards Rolland as well.

Marco is an injured unarmed man. They will continue seeing Rolland as hostile if he keeps his gun raised, especially since for all they know Marco could be useful
