Without free will we cannot love. But God wanted us to love him, so he allowed us to choose.

If god truly is all powerful, then he is completely within the realms of changing the reality of everything so that there is only good. Since he has not, then perhaps he is not the loving benefactor he claims to be, or perhaps he is simply not the ultimate power.

Those people don't take power over major countries with nuclear capabilities.

The issue isn't state actors with nuclear weapons. It's unstable state actors, like Pakistan, having poor enough command and control over their nuclear arsenals that these weapons can fall into the hands of non-state actors (terrorist groups, etc).

Then, by your own definition, free will is not good, as it is a lack of absolute goodness. Therefore, god created something that not only wasn't good, but allowed evil to flourish. What goal does he hope to achieve from us, then? Love? Couldn't be. He could create infinite legions of beings far more loving than us.

Simply put, you can hate gay marraige and 'be like that' but you don't get to keep gay people from marriage. Because that would be holdig your liberties and freedoms above theirs. That is not equality that is inequality. And since the modern western world has separation of church and state making a law that ponders solely to religious people and infringes upon the civil rights of others in their favour would certainly be considered unconstitutional.
I think you even have an amendment about that. Don't make me lie, but I think its the first one.
