THEME

Zic is a life-long warrior and devout follower of traditional Mandalorian culture. His first love, it has been said, was weaponry, a deep respect for the gear he would some day carry into battle with him, and would someday be used to keep him alive and in the fight.

Disciplined, headstrong, calm under fire, and by some accounts, ruthless, he is a model soldier looked up to by many of his comrades. However, he can at times come off as detached and uncaring. This is not strictly true, as he can be very passionate and legitimately cares for his comrades, and would do anything to make sure everyone comes back alive.[/fancybox4]

BIOGRAPHY AND EQUIPMENT​

Zic was born on the moon of Concordia into a fractured family, Zic's parents unfortunately fell in battle soon after his birth. Raised by his older brother from then on, Zic was raised in the warrior customs of the Mandalorian people from a young age. Early on, he found he had a deep fondness for combat, and for weaponry in general, having to take part in missions with his brother to make enough money to make ends meet. In doing such, they found themselves visiting many planets throughout the galaxy. However, his brother would later fall during an assignment, leaving him to fend for himself from the age of 14.

When he came of age, however, he found he wasn't content with just a mercenary lifestyle, being disillusioned with having to pick jobs for money rather than for the sheer thrill of combat and thinking it against the traditional Mandalorian way he'd come to love so dearly. And so, during a visit to Onderon, he joined up with the Avengers of Mandalore. It was to be an exciting new start.

This guy is 57 and has been a warrior for coin since his fourteenth, despising the fact its not in line with the traditional old ways yet still calling himself a devout follower of said ways. Then recently he joined a Jedi protectorate because he was to -finally- follow Mandalorian tradition.

question: what do you understand as the traditional Mandalorian way?

The way the Mandalore write-up and Mandalorian site-/timeline-canon cite the traditional ways I can't help but feel very conflicted about your characters motives.
