As I said here, there was a possibility that we would have to delay the timeline change from tomorrow, July 15th, until a few days later. We have officially decided that we will indeed be delaying it for a few days, until Tuesday, July 19th.

This is to give the think tank a bit more time to finish with the write ups for the different factions, as well as to allow the faction leaders, who will likely be announced tomorrow (Friday), enough time to prepare before the timeline begins.

Fine by me. Tuesday isn't that long of a wait, and it gives us in the think tank the weekend to finish up our business. Now that a date is official, I'm getting even more pumped...if that is even humanly possible.

No worries, wishing the think tank well. I gotta say I'm super glad to hear faction leaders will be announced tomorrow, though. :)

This is unacceptable, Brandon. I suggest you try it again, only this time let go of your conscious self and act on instinct.

Kind of glad I have more time to prepare - I haven't had to time to transfer the word documents from my old computer to my new laptop, and have just ended up rewriting everything. Since I've further developed the characters since then, I'll be able to add more detail to their profiles.

Artix Kreiger's new profile actually, in my opinion, came out much better than the former one on my older computer.

This also might mean we can finish(or atleast have some more fun with it) the Coruscant battles! Get posting, folks!

You, sir, win the game.

This delay is unacceptable for those of us whose new-timeline plans will shortly be afflicted by holiday. Gogogo RP by e-mail.

We should have a decently-sized post dump ready by Tuesday. Muahaha.:bitchez

My apologies if this sounds rude and if it does, I'm sorry about that.

This Timeline is voyaging into an era with no compass to go by. A lot from scratch. It's better to let the think tank do a better job and the Faction leaders organize the factions than to start the timeline prematurely, all due to a few individuals couldn't wait a little while longer to RP.

While this is certainly understandable, for me an otherwise four-day delay would become four weeks because one of the RPers involved will not be on the internet for three. A week would be enough time to finish the RP, but three days won't be. (And that is before even considering the possibility of further delays.)

I would hope that taking my own steps to mitigate the delay would seem to make more sense under such a situation.

Good that you're planning RP's but if you have people set in stone in what you want to do already, I'm sorry to hear that. Try and set up ideas and let them branch off into specifics in the RP. If you can't wait an extra 4 days for a timeline to be posted (which if they say it will be 4 days, it will be.) Then your patience is in dire need of some improvement. Wait for the site to come up or you might as well make up your own RP and continue it in emails/pms/messengers. Cause chances are what you think is going to happen, wont.

Given my previous explanation of why a four-day delay would turn into a four-week delay for me, it actually makes a lot of sense for me to keep the RP closed up until the point the new timeline is up. If it wasn't for that little circumstance, I would happily wait, but I'm not going to wait around a month while everyone else dives in, nor am I going to kick someone out of an RP I'm planning for taking a vacation.

The RP will probably be open at whatever point the timeline changes and we get all our posts posted up, which will probably coincide with the point at which I would have opened the RP anyway.

We'd planned around the 15th. Unfortunately, this didn't work out, and I'm trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

I definitely understand that, my 2 cents is that you could RP something on planet x and that planet might be destroyed in the write-up. Of course you could change the planet in your writing pretty easily, but it'd take some work to make sure all of planet x turned to planet y. Also unless you're both RPing indy characters or humans/twi'leks/rodians/ect (the main races) you never know what could be banned from RP there. This new timeline will be pretty open to most of the star wars options, but just risking something not being allowed in whatever you RP that could alter your entire story.

Just my warning to you.

I sincerely doubt that Corellia, Coruscant, humans, and Kiffars will be banned from the new timeline. tee hee. :P
