Open to Jedi. See OOC Below for details
Vanya was already feeling exhausted. The Jedi and its growing forces of ships, walkers, tanks, and men had landed on Corellia in force nearly 36 hours ago and Vanya had been on the front line for most of it.

The planet of Corellia had been under occupation of the Razelings for far too long. The Hapans had invaded and held most of the major points on the planet including the capital of Coronet City.

The outlying populations centers hadn't been so lucky. Abominations had been unleashed on any portion of the planet that had dared to put up resistance against the invaders, and together they had ground the population into the dust.

Of course, there were still those who had chosen to fight back. Those whose spirits wouldn't be broken by any evil or monster, and those were the people that the Jedi would need to find. Their wealth of information, reconnaissance, and knowledge of the area would be invaluable.

For her part, Vanya walked about two-hundred yards behind the battle line. Crusaders were on the front, probing for weaknesses and evacuating the wounded, traditionalists were acting as healers, and everything in between. Whatever differences the Jedi may have had among themselves, they were all Jedi as far as Vanya was concerned. She hoped they would see it that way as well.

What absolutely no one could deny was that there was need.

Vanya was still trying to get used to the scale of the battle. The Killik invasion was the largest fight she had ever taken part in and this... it dwarfed that. The battle lines stretched across half the planet, and artillery and bombers were nearly constant overhead. It took every ounce of willpower not to dive into the dirt every time an energy shell cracked overhead, and the truth she would never admit aloud was that she just wanted to crawl up in a trench somewhere and wait the fighting out.

But that wasn't an option. The next push would be starting soon, and that meant no rest for the weary.

This is open to all Jedi and loosely inspired by this thread. There will be no posting orders and people are welcome to come and go as they are able. Let's write a cool story no matter what your character's philosophy or specialty! People are welcome to start wherever they would like and participate however they would like.

Corellia held a special place in Theia's heart, it was where she was born, it was where she was raised before Mama and her moved to Naboo for schooling and work. Some of her earliest memories were rooted here not only at their beach home, but also in the city with all the museums, the ship building factories, and history. It was a pride she felt she shared with those who were still fighting their oppressors, those monsters who were only set on destruction. There sat stubbornness in the Corellians as well as herself; a trait that would hopefully pay off as they came to push back the evil that tries to darken the heart of this world. And maybe...it would be enough to see Corellia heal so her and Mama could visit again.

Forgoing Jedi robes that would make her distinct, Theia chose civilian attire (though far from what she would wear normally), long-sleeve tunic, trousers, boots, fixed with a gear belt that held a blaster, small utility knife and her slicing tools. Her borrowed lightsaber was tucked in a fold of her jacket and she carried a small pack on her back that held anything she couldn't fit into her pockets including bacta patches and her datapad. She wanted to blend in better with the rest of her team, members of the resistance cells and Jedi as she headed into the sewers in their attempt to cut into communications array that connected around the city. She didn't consider herself an expert in this stuff like Mr. Newton at Blackwell or her mother, or even Ezzie really, but she knew enough from growing up and having it instilled in her education how to do enough damage to disrupt someone's day...maybe even week by inserting unwanted code or cutting a few wires.

The battle above ground would make this even more challenging as the ground shook and collapsed tunnels through the underground system. It bothered Theia, she could feel her own doubt and uncertainty brewing, but she felt ready in a way, an instinct, and feeling that she had been growing for a few years now while she trained as a Jedi that told her to remain trusted in it. They would accomplish what they can, disrupt enemy short range comms and hopefully turn the tide of this battle. What the future held was not constant, but it was a risk they needed to take, the more they could isolate pockets of their oppressors, the better odds they will have to returning Corellia to its people.

Prani was entirely out of place. She was no Crusader, she was no hero, she was no fighter. She saw the famous Vanya charged ahead, and she knew other Crusaders would follow in her wake. They would directly engage the abominations and enemies, but Prani had to remind herself that her role was no less critical.

Dressed in a Jedi tunic, she was armed with a vibrosword that she hoped she wouldn’t have to use. Prani darted towards a building reported to be holding a lot of civilians that were hiding out from the attack. She glanced towards her master (@LouJoVi ), “MASTER! I WILL SEE IF I CAN GET ANY FOLKS OUTTA THERE!” Prani shouted over the sounds of explosions and fighting.

Prani charged into the building, making her way down to the basement. Right after she entered, a mortar shell struck the top level of the structure courtesy of turf wars, making a big chunk of it collapse. The Padawan stumbled as everything shook beneath her feet, but time was of the essence. She had mere moments to get these people out.

Coughing from the smoke, she descended down the steps.

Unfortunately, the shelling created a wide opening in the partially collapsed building, leaving it ripe for attack by abomination beasts that were quickly scurrying over.

Elidan watched how the once proud Corellia was burning. The Jedi against Raze’s monstrosities. The Light fighting the Darkness with the purpose of expelling it from this world. This would be a poetic way of thinking about this battle after it finished. A skirmish for the salvation of the planet. Really poetic.

But at the moment the half-Annfyn couldn’t think about poetry. He was focused in the sounds around him.

The sound of explosions and screams of people. The roar and the footsteps of the abominations, while they rushed against the Jedi that were being led by Vanya. While he respected the Crusaders, the half-Annfyn was sure that the life of leading armies wasn’t for him. However, there were other ways of helping in a warzone.

After all, while the armies fought, civilians were left in panic and sometimes hurt. As a healer, it was his duty to help them. At the moment, Elidan was guiding a group of refugees toward the transports that would take them to a safe place. He was dressed in Jedi robes and, to the surprise of many, the half-Annfyn was talking and pointing them in the right direction. After many years of treatment, he finally became capable of speaking short phrases when dealing with crowds. However, he still preferred to use sign language most of the time, specially in one to one conversations with strangers.

Conversations were reserved only to close friends and his Padawan.

Who was now running toward a collapsing building alone. While a bunch of abominations approached after having broken through the Jedi lines.

WAIT!” he screamed, before turning to look at the civilians. They had already moved away, allowing him to run after Prani. He saw her descending the stairs toward the basement, when a new explosion shook the place. It was going down soon.

His attention turned to an opening against the wall. His keen hearing allowed him to hear the heavy footsteps of the abominations that were approaching through it. Without much time, Elidan used the Force to pile debris and covered the crevice. The creatures would use their claws to slash the stones, while the Knight used his strength to hold them out long enough to Prani save the civilians.

He had faith that she would be able to do that.

Then she was going to hear him out for going there alone.

Healing. That was all she had been ordered to do—no fighting. About twenty minutes in, she had already disobeyed orders. Wearing her Jedi robes, she desperately reached out with the Force and shoved an abomination away from two cowering civilians. The creature screeched as it slammed into a wall and then flopped down to the ground. "Thank you!" one of the people she had saved, a human male, said. "No problem. Now move!" Nikko sighed in relief as the two people got the hint and ran back towards the safety of the Jedi lines. Behind her, Viper let out a few low-pitched beeps. The Pantoran wasn't sure exactly what that meant (her binary was a little rusty), but it was probably something along the lines of 'excuse me, but YOU ARE ABOUT TO DIE.' Which made sense, considering that the abomination she had thrown at the wall was apparently alive. Oh, and it looked very unhappy. With a muffled curse, Nikko drew her saber and ignited it, slowly walking backward. The abomination charged her, and, with a wild swing that went wide, the Pantoran and her droid made a hasty retreat back into the line of fire of the walkers. The second the beast was exposed, it was struck from multiple directions and collapsed. Nikko, who had stumbled avoiding a poorly aimed shot, rolled across the ground for about two yards and then sprang to her feet and looked around. a little bit to her left, an elfen Jedi ( @Elidan ) was using the Force to hold a rockpile in place. Silently, she moved over beside him and, deactivating and reholstering her saber, provided what help she could, extending her arms and allowing the Force to flow through her, pushing against the rock. She felt the abomination's twisted presence and shuddered. Disgusting.

Ava hadn’t hesitated to be amongst the Jedi who landed on Corellia. Maybe the planet could finally be liberated from the hordes of abominations that had devastated it.

Not wanting to shy away from the action, Ava had volunteered to go to the front line. She accepted the risks that came with the choice.

The fighting had taken her to a town square, alongside a group of fellow Jedi. Battling the creatures was exhausting, but they would persevere with every ounce of strength.

Slicing through an abomination’s leg with her lightsaber, she followed that with two swift strikes to its chest. Another one of the monsters lunged at her. Turning sharply, she managed to leap over the creature as it crashed to the ground.

Given the intensity of the fighting, she was beginning to wish she’d brought some armour. Instead, she’d chosen to wear her usual clothing.

Hold this position,” a voice called out.

Ava readied her saber, as more abominations approached.

When it came to fighting, Bors was no stranger. Back home, he fought Killik drones by the swarms, digging into their mounds to eat their tasty insides and protein-rich larva. Back home, his people praised him for being such a good fighter in those tight tunnels.

Fighting abominations was a different matter entirely however. Where Killiks swarmed and rushed head on, the abominations fought like wolves. They had their own breed of tactical plans, as animalistic as it was. They picked off the weak. They avoided the strong. They sought opportunity but fought with unnatural ferocity.

Bors growled as his yellow lightsaber cut a swathe of safety before him, forcing the monsters to fall back or fall by his blade. At least here he had the best weapon a Thaldek Pango could hope for.

"I got him!" The medic shouted as he grabbed the wounded man near Bor's feet. "Fall back to the line!"

Bors obeyed, slowly. With each swing, he lifted his tail and took a large step backwards. The monsters growled and hissed at him. One charged forward.

"Back ye beasts!" Bors commanded as he swung again. The beast did not obey, and fell lifeless with its head opened.

"Thats good! Hold the line! Hold this position."

Bors slammed his heavy tail down, anchoring his body from being pushed back any further. To his right, he glimpsed a green blade that made Bors smile.

"You best be fearing us monsters!" Bors shouted loud enough for everyone to hear, including the Knight Ava. "We've killed slavers worse than you!"

It was Kaedan's first time on Corellia. He wished it was under better circumstances however the cost of war was great. Between Raze and the Abominations, the jedi had their work cut out for them. Luckily, in a fight like this they served on a united front, crusader and traditionalist alike. With mainly crusaders in the front lines, the traditionalist served in any capacity that was necessary. While he was a traditionalist, Kaedan was a warrior at heart.

As he ventured forth into the heart of the conflict, each step he felt the tremors beneath his feet. The acrid stench of burning flesh assaulted his senses, mingling with the sharp tang of ozone from distant explosions. This was much worse than his run in with the Killiks even though that was equally as important to them. He could only hope that they would be able to save as many lives as possible as well as drive the forces of Raze off the Corellia system.

Kaedan activated his lightsaber and with a graceful pivot, he launched into motion, his body spinning in a whirlwind of controlled momentum. The arc of his blade traced a brilliant path through the air as he executed a spin slash, the weapon a blur of azure light. His lightsaber cleaved through the air and met its mark, slicing through the beasts with a resounding hiss. The momentum of his spin carried him forward, closing the distance between himself and more abominations. When he landed, he repositioned into Djem So's ready position.

The Jedi Master was often absent for long periods of time doing infiltration work behind enemy lines. However, he had recently returned to the Order and was among the first in line to help with the liberation of Corellia. The Hapan forces remaining on the planet aggressively fought for control and they managed to lure many locals into starting turf wars and start fighting in the streets. Crude weapons and artillery rained down upon civilians holed up in buildings.

A lot of the coordination was done through a comms tower that was heavily guarded. The Jedi Master fluidly skirted past the waves of Jedi, his towering form moving far more gracefully than one would expect. Once he met the beasts, he thrust up a hand, sending a searing, blinding Light to the groups of abominations before him. Their shrieks of pain echoed and it allowed him to start slicing, moving like a dervish with his saber to cut a swath through the enemies. His goal wasn’t to linger here to keep fighting, he needed a path to get to that tower.

After breaking through the first line, he began to engage the second, bringing out both sabers now to fight the beasts. Amidst the sea of monsters, blaster bolts began to zip his way, which he then deflected into the lesser abominations.

Sevrin spun around and manipulated the ground just enough to collapse it downwards, sending several rows of the beasts sinking and getting stuck in the fissure. This would give the incoming crusaders plenty of opportunity to end the beasts.

The Sephi didn’t stick around, spinning on his heel to continue his purposeful advance towards the tower.

"Anyone wishing to take the comms tower with me is free to join," Sevrin spoke into the shared Jedi radio channel.

Eruc's hands hovered a few inches above a wounded citizen's leg. A large slash, likely inflicted by the cruel swipe of an abomination's claw or a shard of debris from the recent explosion. With serene focus, he channeled the Force through his being, infusing a portion of his own life essence into the injured limb. Eyes closed in concentration, he methodically traced his hands over the wound, coaxing the bleeding to cease and the tissue to rapidly knit together, - instantly relieving most of the man's pain. Applying a crude bandage over it, he looked up at the others who were with him.

5 in total, 4 injured civilians and 1 unconscious jedi. He had led them to the crashed space shuttle where they were currently hiding and he had shielded them from the encroaching threats outside by using the force to barricade the entrance with several large rocks - though the unmistakable sounds of prowling abominations and their haunting howls persisted, mingling with the hushed whimpers of the terrified survivors.

He admittedly harbored disillusions with the Jedi and generally tried to keep his distance from the order - but even he couldn't ignore the atrocities that were happening here. Tales of unspeakable horrors and untold suffering being unleashed upon innocent civilians, all perpetrated by a power-hungry Sith had driven him to abandon his seclusion and lend aid where it was desperately needed. Agreeing to journey to Corellia for the relief effort was a decision made not out of duty, but out of a profound sense of moral obligation.

"Is anyone else injured?"
He asked the group - they all put up their hands, each bearing some kind of break, cut or sprain. With so many of them hurt, he wouldn't be able to heal them fully - it was an exhausting process and he needed to reserve some of his energy to protect them should they be discovered. But he could atleast ease most of their pain.

He briefly pressed two fingers to his temple and with a silent plea to the Force, he reached out telepathically; seeking any potential allies beyond the confines of their shelter, a desperate call for aid in their dire circumstance.

Help needed. Trapped inside a destroyed shuttle. 5 Wounded. Near City Center. Abominations closing in. Don't have long.

Simultaneously, he motioned for another survivor to approach, gesturing toward the makeshift infirmary he had fashioned from meager supplies, offering what comfort he could amidst the chaos.

There had been a brief moment back on Kashyyyk where Shaw had hesitated, second guessing his decision to follow Master Valtiere into the unknown. It had been brief, spurred on by the thought of leaving all of his friends behind. Macote. Prani. Caul. When would he see them again? Perhaps he hadn't realized what becoming Master Valtiere's apprentice would involve when he had asked, but he did as he stepped onto the boarding ramp. Macote, Prani, Caul—all of his friends had their own journeys. Their own destinies to chase. Shaw's led him toward Master Valtiere. He could just feel it in his bones. He could feel it in the force. This was the right decision. The next step forward. If he wanted to become a Jedi, Shaw would need to follow the sephi into the unknown and find out who he was on the other side.

Today he would get a taste of what it meant to be a Jedi, a glimpse into what might await him on the other side of this journey. Of who he might become. Shaw looked around. It was a cursory glance. He feared getting bogged down with all of the destruction and agony around him. In the distance the jungles burned. Buildings collapsed along the urban corridor. It might have been a beautiful day had Corellia's sun not been blocked out by all of the smoke and warships.

So this was what war looked like... Shaw swallowed, trailing behind Master Valtiere as he cut a path toward the communications tower. The training lightsaber Caul had given him hung at his side, but it was the vibrosword he had taken from the dead trandoshan back on Kashyyyk that he held in his hand. The padawan was having a hard time getting his head in the game. Every abomination made his heart skip a beat and not in a good way. He felt like he was back on Coruscant again, running scared for his life. Except this time he wasn't running. He was following Master Valtiere right toward the creatures.

The scorching ray of light that shot forth from his master's hands helped refocus him. As a side not that was seriously cool, and Shaw would have to ask him about that later. For now he had to try and focus and actually help out rather than riding on the sephi's coat tails. Or robe tails. "Will the comms tower have shields up?" he asked, making a face as he stepped over one of the gooey bodies of a razeling Valtiere had slain. @Sreeya

Vanya could feel the dirt, blood, and sweat clinging to her clothes as the next attack began to unfold. Soldiers rushed past, laying down covering fire on her left and right as Jedi began to charge forward into the fray.

She had done her best to remember the names of those here, but - excitingly - so many had shown up that the keeping track of people had been difficult. She took a steadying breath as she looked out at the chaos ahead.

Alright, Vanya, you've got this. Just another day, another fight. Don't think about the whole battle, just the next piece of... she thought, her mind torn out of those thoughts as the gut-shaking thoomp-thoomp of friendly artillery went off not far behind her. Even with the EZPod dampeners in place, it was almost disorienting. One day she'd get used to that noise... one day.

Stop dawdling, she told herself, snatching the lightsaber off of her hip before charging forward. It had become increasingly apparent to her that everyone looked to her as a leader, looking at how "fearless" she was, and how she was always at the center of the fray, but the truth was... she just charged forward because she knew that if she thought about it anymore, she'd drop everything and run. The truth was she was terrified, but she was too stubborn to run away, which left only the option to run forward.

She leapt into the fray, cleaving down on an abomination, ducking a blow, and unleashing a blaster of green, radiant energy from her palm. It punched straight through the abominations gut even as her saber whipped around and caught a blaster shot, returning it to sender.

She spun back to her feet and her head flicked around, spotting the small horde that was pushing its way against a gap being held by a Jedi Knight (@LouJoVi). She thought she could sense another Jedi nearby (@Sreeya) and called on the Essence and the weaved spirits of Valor and Protection to form a channel of energy.

Her hands thrust out to her side and down from the sky, practically splitting it in two, a beam of pure, radiant energy slammed into the abominations pushing to claw their way inside, hopefully buying time for the Knight to seal up the gap in the wall... hopefully.

Virious had wondered how long it would take for the Jedi to actually do something about Corellia. The "Crusaders" had made big statements, but there was a whole lot of places that were still infested with abominations and Raze loyalists, and even more places out there that were being infected by the rest of the Sith Order.

The Sith seemed that perhaps they were getting their footing again, and he had yet to decide if that was a good or bad thing. Probably better than not as it meant more spreading darkness. After the defeat of Tempest it should at least buy them the space not to be attacked by their rival sect.

Instead, he was here to deal with the Jedi assault, garbed in his armor with his saber at his hip. It had come to light before they had arrived, but the fighting had been tense. From the get-go, Kaldar's goal wasn't actually to keep the world, it was far more simple: the spreading and devastation of the planet.

The communications tower was the first point at which he had decided to post up. It allowed him decent scanner data from the surrounding area and allowed him to be in contact with the Hapan forces.

The Jedi were cutting their way through, looking to bring it down and drive his forces back, and he was fairly sure they would do it. As a unified force there was no question that they were a stiff resistance, but that didn't mean they were impervious.

Start planting bombs in the next zone. Prepare to detonate them as we fall back, he said. Every piece of ground loss would turn into a detonation, forcing the Jedi to either venture behind enemy lines to deactivate them or else risk their forces - and the civilians in the area - being caught in the blast.

Theia's earpiece buzzed, the encrypted jedi comms allowed for them to bypass short range transmissions present on Corellia... for now. "The Screerats and I will meet you there." she told Master Sevrin (@Sreeya), even speaking at a normal tone, the fighting above ground as they navigated into the sewers to reach the utility access lines to the comm tower station were deafening. Explosions reverberated through the ground, water and duracreate crumbled, but the team were to press onward. They knew the comm tower was critical and they would need as much help as possible to ensure it comes down.

The group rounded the corner and were greeted with the shaking of the tunnels and the loud roaring from a pack of abominations. Each of the rebels went into position, firing their rifles to cut them down as quickly as possible, Some of the group went onward, taking a different path not cut off by the abominations, the padawan and rebels stayed, clearing the threat before moving on themselves.

Theia honestly didn't think she would ever get this close to an abomination as she pulled the lightsaber and ignited it into a creature that came straight for herself. The blue blade ripped through its back and she could feel the life extinguish as quickly as she saw its approach. She pulled her saber out, letting it fall the ground; the smell of the beast lingering in her nostrils as she quickly ran to aid a rebel who was fighting one that had them pinned. Her saber cut through its center, bisecting the beast. She crouched down to give her companion help to stand and move forward, but he waved her hand away.

"No, no kid, go, catch up with the others." He looked down at his shredded leg, and Theia looked, her stomach dropped. Her mind begun to rush with ways to quickly help him and get him back to a medic.

"But we can get you a healer, I have some bandages and-" Theia paused as he grabbed her wrist, preventing her from reaching into her pack.

"Kid, I said no, now go," growling and snarling could be heard from where the pack of abominations had come moments earlier. Theia looked and then back to the rebel, "may the Force be with you." he grinned.

"Doaba ol'val tru." Theia mustered a pained grin and patted his hand, reluctant to leave him behind, but she understood, knowledge she wished she'd never had to know, and quickly followed the others.

Prani stumbled downstairs into a group of families huddled together. Ashen faces, terrified eyes, mothers clutching onto their children. There was not a single combat-ready person in sight.

“A-Are you going to…get us out of here?”

She had a silent moment of panic, all the what ifs and worries about people looking to her as some sort of hero. She thought of not knowing what to do. But then she remembered to believe in herself. It may have been hype, it may have been cheese, but she needed to believe it right now.

“Yes,” Prani said calmly, “Yes I am.”

With that, she grasped an orphaned girl by the hand and began to lead her up the stairs, the rest following in tow.

“Just keep your eyes on me, okay?” Prani said to the little girl, “Don’t look anywhere else,” She added. The others grabbed their children, scooping them as the group started to move up the stairs. Prani could feel the entire building shake, on the verge of a collapse. Smoke plumed and she was able to use the Force to send a minor wave to disperse the cloud.

“HOLD THE LINE, MASTER!” Prani called out to Elidan, “I almost have them out!” It terrified her to think that her Master was alone in having to keep the hordes from coming in. She hoped for a way to trap them in the building and collapse it, but the civilians had to get out first.

It didn’t even occur to her that she simply put herself in harm’s way to save others. Prani had always admired that in others and thought it could never be her. She didn’t have a chance to process that right now, running through a burning and collapsing building to get a group of survivors out.

With Elidan drawing all the attention, Prani found an opening, “GO GO! THERE’S A TRANSPORT RIGHT THERE!” She pointed as she saw more soldiers rushing out to guard and engage. All of the civilians started running except for the little girl who kept clinging to Prani.

“I don’t have anybody! Everybody I know is dead!” She squealed, “Please let me come with you!”

“I..” The abominations began to charge into the building. Prani scooped the girl up and glanced over her shoulder, “MASTER GET OUTTA THERE!” She started running. If Elidan also rushed out, the Jedi aligned militia forces would then blow up and collapse the building on top of the abominations. A necessary casualty.

Sevrin gave a noncommittal shrug at Shaw’s question, “I suppose we will find out,” He said simply. Shaw would learn quickly enough that Sevrin improvised a lot. However, because of experience and self discipline his gambles usually paid off. Usually.

The Sephi kept engaging the abominations, forcing the beasts back that were directly in his path. As he fought, he cast sideways glance at Shaw, “Be here, apprentice,” He called out curtly, “Not on Coruscant,” Sevrin added. He knew the boy’s story, he knew this setting would trigger him and bring back vivid memories. However, he couldn’t let his thoughts distract him right now in the heat of combat.

When Theia’s (@GABA )voice resounded through the comms, he knew that was the group navigating underground, “Any way you can kill the power to the comms tower?” He asked her through the radio.

With the immediate vicinity cleared for now, Sevrin arrived at the door at the foot of the tower. Naturally it was sealed unless Theia managed to drop the power. He grabbed one of the saberhilts on his hip, handing it to Shaw, “Cut through this door, I will hold off any attackers,” He told the Padawan. It didn’t matter if this was the first time he held a real saber, Shaw wouldn’t have the luxury of marveling at it. His first enemy with a saber was a door.

Sevrin used the Force to send a concussive wave at the abominations rushing towards them. He glanced upwards at the towers to look for any sentries, but spotted none for now. He would keep fighting until Shaw had the door opened for them both to barge in.

Elidan maintained the debris covering the crevice, while the exalted continued trying to push through it. Sweat was starting to drip through his forehead, due to the great effort of maintaining the creatures at bay. They had a great physical strength, beyond anything that the half-Annfyn had fought against. Their presence was terrible, like small pieces of darkness feasting on all the beautiful colors that composed the great painting of the Force.

Suddenly, Elidan felt that he wasn’t alone anymore. He briefly turned to look at his side and saw Pantoran Padawan (@Interdictor) helping him maintain the debris in place. The half-Annfyn would thank her later, now he needed to focus. As if feeling the presence of the two Jedi, the abominations started to push against their barrier with more strength.

When the building started to shake in a very terrifying way, Elidan started to silently pray to the Force that Prani would return soon.

As if hearing his prayers, his Padawan emerged from downstairs with a group of civilians coming after her. He felt a bit relieved, nodding at her when she asked for him to hold the line. However, his relief soon disappeared. The presence of so many potential prey running away made the abominations become even more restless. They were starting to push back the barrier of debris.

However, in the exact moment that Prani walked out with the rest of the civilians and the abominations were close to break through, a flash of light illuminated the other side and the creatures scattered off. Elidan felt the presence of a Jedi outside and concluded that it had been one of the Crusaders using their famous light attacks.

Perhaps he should ask one of them about teaching him these abilities. It would be useful for self-defense.

With the creatures confused by the light and Prani having left with the rest of the civilians, Elidan could properly seal the gap in the wall. Then, he gestured for the Pantoran to follow him outside. Outside, he heard his Padawan screaming. She was already a safe distance from the building and a group of soldiers were gathering to blow it over the abominations.

The creatures had recovered from the stunning from early and had collapsed his barrier, entering the building like a tidal wave. Elidan grabbed the arm of the Pantoran and used the Force to rush beyond the soldiers. With the two Jedi safe, they bombed it until the structure fell down, killing the abominations inside.

He let go of the Pantoran, giving her a smile and approached Prani. Since there were only the two of them and a small child, Elidan felt comfortable enough to talk, “You did well there. If you didn’t act fast, the situation would have been very different.” he looked at the small girl in the Padawan’s arms. “Hello, miss. What is your name?” he asked, while wondering where her family was.

Nikko was starting to think that she had misjudged the difficulty of holding rocks in place while a bunch of abominations were trying to break through. Sweat started to bead on her brow, and a grimace appeared on her face as she focused all of her energy on holding the boulders in place. The building started to shudder, but the Pantoran didn't have time to worry about it. Then, several people burst out from the lower levels, and before Nikko could even register the annoyance from the abominations, a burst of light sent them squealing and scattering. Good riddance. Her companion motioned her to follow, and she did, but unexpectedly, the elfen man grabbed her arm and pulled along. They cleared the structure just in time, and the building crumbled behind them. With a cough, she waved the dust away from her eyes and looked around. The other Jedi was talking with a teenage girl. Another Jedi, probably. The Pantoran felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see Viper hovering behind her. "Hey, buddy," she said. Viper beeped. "Yes, I am aware the air quality right here is awful. I was standing next to a falling building." The probe droid was silent, and Nikko turned back to the other two. "Um...hi?" she managed. Wow, great communication skills. "What's the plan?" was the sentence she finally decided on. Hey, at least it was something.

Sprinting towards the creatures, Ava slid underneath a swipe from a claw-like limb and spun around with two vicious strikes: the first slicing through the creature’s chest and the second strike beheading it.

Moving instinctively, she narrowly avoided three slashes from another of the monstrosities. As she dropped to one knee, she swiped her blade across the creature’s waist. The Razeling’s bisected body collapsed to the floor.

Reacting quickly to another creature charging towards her, she thrust both arms towards it and sent out a force push. The abomination was knocked back into some of the other monsters.

She took a second to catch her breath. The Razelings kept coming. They were relentless. Turning around briefly, when she heard a voice she recognised, a familiar figure was battling the creatures. Syr.

Dashing across the battlefield, which was like running a gauntlet, she eventually managed to reach the Giant Pango. “Hey, Syr!

Swiftly cutting down another creature, she raised her saber as more approached. Without warning, a telepathic message entered her mind. She took a second to compose herself.

Did you hear that Syr? There are people trapped in the city centre.

(TLDR: Killed some abominations. Saw Syr Bors and went over to fight alongside him. Heard Eruc’s message.)

Shaw's brown eyes snapped to Master Valtiere when he mentioned Coruscant. How had he... oh yeah. Duh. The force. Or perhaps Shaw hadn't hidden the fear that coursed through his veins every time he saw or heard one of those razelings as well as he had thought. His muscles did feel tense, his movements jerky.

It didn't take the sephi long to cut a path to the communications tower. Black, gooey abominations lie dead all around them. Their next obstacle didn't seem quite as threatening. A large, durasteel blast door at the bottom of the tower.

"Wait. For real?" Shaw asked, taking the lightsaber Master Valtiere handed him. He could already feel the excitement growing inside of him as his hands slid around the hilt. He could already envision how he might put it to use. Cutting through abominations, deflecting blaster bolts, slicing through doors—oh. His excitement was a little blunted but not entirely dissuaded by the realization. It was still a lightsaber, and Master Valtiere still trusted him with it. He could take that as a win.

Shaw's thumb slid across the activator switch, and the lightsaber came to life with a hum. A green blade emerged, and Shaw didn't hesitate to put it to use, plunging it into the blast door. Plasma ate away at the metal, burning a bright orange hue as it melted away. The heat coming off the blade was insane, way hotter than Shaw's own training lightsaber, and beads of sweat began to form on his brow. The opening Shaw cut was more jagged than it was smooth, cut lines quite sloppy, but it was still a door and would gain them entrance.

"We're in!" Shaw called back to his master. The metal opening fell backwards with a heavy thud, revealing an abomination on the other side. Just waiting to be set loose by its handlers. The padawan froze, and the abomination charged. @Sreeya
