The Endless Watch

Overview

Historically labeled as Extremists, Terrorists, Assassins, and Spies. The Death Watch - now known to those who carry on it's legacy as The Endless Watch. Have been all of these things to Mandalore's foes at one point or another, but not without a purpose. Akin to a Covert Operations or Special Forces contingent of many planetary militaries. The Endless Watch is a group of warriors employing gorilla warfare, unconventional warfare, hit and run tactics, and other asymmetrical warfare principles to achieve Mandalorian goals.

Ancient History

Ancient History
Warriors of old, once known as 'Deaths Watchers' during the First Crusading Era under Mand'alor The Conqueror, these Mandalorians gained the infamous moniker during the Second Battle of Shogun. Dispatched during battle coordination and given the task to conquer the capitol city at 'any cost' by the Mand'alor an instruction taken literally.

The crusaders came against stiff opposition and casualties mounted while attempting to minimalize civilian casualties and collateral damage, that was until a Rally Master ordered his section of men to herd a group of civilians into the street directly in the view of a defensive strong point and execute them all for the defenders decision to fight. The tactic proved successful and soon the rest of the crusaders attacking the capitol began employing the tactic as a means to bend the will of the defenders and force them into submission.

They would emerge again under the leadership of Tor Vizsla during the Mandalorian Civil War. Fighting the True Mandalorians in an effort to return Mandalorians to their roots as galactic crusaders. After Tor's death, the Watch would disband. Only to reemerge during the Clone Wars, this time lead by Pre Vizsla. The goal was the same. To return Mandalor to it's roots as warriors and crusaders. This time targeting the New Mandalorians and Duchess Satine Kryze.

After the Clone Wars the so called 'terrorist' faction would splinter into small cells. These groups would use their skills and tactics to work for whoever would pay. From the Galactic Empire, the Syndicates, even the First Order. Perfecting their brand of war fighting.
Modern History

Modern History
Under the Mand'Alor, Fenyang Ordo, the Death Watch was briefly reunited. By his command they brought their skills to bare. Becoming the tip of the spear in the New Crusade.

Since the disbandment of the Death Watch, some have begun rekindling the flame. Some may be former members, others may be sympathetic with the cause, but all believe in the manifesto. Now with a fledgling base of Watchers - The Endless Watch is being reborn, like a Shriek-Hawk from the flames. Rallying together to strike out into the galaxy and write a new legacy.
Tenets

Tenets

The rallying call of The Endless Watch transcends all Clan & House leadership, grudges and bad blood are left in the past once one takes up the mantle. A member of Death Watch takes orders from the Watch and the Mand'alor, the goal is common among members and the potential sacrifice is ever present but those who rally to the old symbols and ways are guaranteed glory when it is time to join the Manda.
  • Watch Out For The Watch: answer only to those of The Endless Watch and the Mand'alor.
  • Brothers and Sisters All: Mandalorians should be one, strike not your Vod unless stricken first
  • At Any Cost: the day will be won, defeat is not an option nor an acceptable outcome.
  • Give No Quarter: when the day is won none who opposed shall live to tell the tale

Structure

Structure
The Endless Watch operates in a highly autonomous manner making the distinction between rank less prominent and only necessary when large numbers of the Watchers are working together on the battlefield. Members of The Endless Watch wear their rank on the left shoulder, displayed in red where a Mandalorian may normally sport the mythosaur skull. This serves to distinguish them from the average Mandalorian and show who holds rank when interacting with outside forces, The Endless Watch maintains four ranks and they follow as such.

Watcher (Roundel Without Markings) (Rank 1)
A unifying title to bring pride to the members of The Endless Watch, these Mandalorians range from common marauders all the way to tech specialists and intelligence operatives. During small unit operations like raids, targeted strikes, assassinations, bounty collections and alike a group is comprised of Watchers.

Watch Captain (Roundel With Two Markings) (Rank 2)
Members of The Endless Watch who serve in a leadership role, commanding large numbers of Watchers in battle or leading negotiations during planetary conquest. These members of the organization have proven their ability in combat and as cunning tacticians and have a strong ability to lead civil interactions when there is no battle to be had.

Watch Commander (Roundel With Four Markings) (Rank 3)
The leader of The Endless Watch, commonly referred to as the Watch Commander is identified by a roundel with all four markings. Anyone who has the honor of rising to this rank has proven to be the strongest and popularly accepted leader among their peers when the time for a new leader to be selected to replace and inadequate or fallen commander. The Watch Commander answers to the Mand'alor and the Mand'alor only and can be empowered to represent Mandalore in the absence of the Mand'alor if expressly instructed when acting as a foreign delegate.

Intent
The primary purpose of this culturally based faction is to revive the archived 2022 Death Watch sub-faction with some very slight modernization. The secondary purpose is to provide other Mandalorian players and Mandalorian factions with a group to RP alongside and in conjunction with. This faction will serve not only as the right hand of the Mand'alor if one is chosen again, but also as a place for interested writers to explore collaborative story telling.

the write-up itself seems fine although I do have some questions.

`Watch Initiate` reads like it would be equal to a Padawan in terms of rank. So that should be labeled as Rank 0. `Watcher` reads like a standard rank 1 description. Or Watch Initiate could be omitted all together since they haven't joined the organization in any case.

Thoughts? Also obligatory mention just to be safe: Ranks in PC organization do not translate to character Levels.

Also, can you clarify if this is a NPC organization or a PC organization?

Initiate can completely be removed - I added it as a revision but didn't feel it fit super well. Removing now.

Also, yes faction rank not equal to character rank is clear to us all! And this is meant to be a PC Organization, we have mission packs in the wings and ready to go to collect assets if approval is provided.
