Thane Vizsla
NAME: Thane Vizsla
FACTION: Mandalorians; Clan Vizsla
RANK: N/A; Aliit'buir
SPECIES: Lorrdian
AGE: 35
GENDER: Male
FORCE SENSITIVE: N

APPEARANCE:

ybH6IgM.png
A rather muscular and tall intimidating figure, Thane possesses numerous scars across his body and a face revealing a history of constant fighting. His hair cut is nothing special befitting a man of the Mandalorian culture where vanity did not exist as a word. Despite that, Thane has often received compliments on his looks from female counter parts. This, of course, has happened on the rare occasions he has taken off his buy'ce.

As a typical Mandalorian, the attire that the Aliit'buir of clan Vizsla is most often seen with is his beskar'gam. Otherwise, he would wear something simple as a simple blue or camo green V-neck t-shirt and black cargo pants with black or brown military boots on his feet.

Along with numerous scars, he has a few tattoos across different parts of his torso. A Mythosaur skull and the Jai'Galaar symbol of Clan Vizsla.
ATTRIBUTES:
  • Mandalorian Heritage: Being brought up as a Mandalorian has defined him not only as a person but also his capabilities. He was raised a warrior and he will die a warrior. Like most Mandalorians, Thane is versatile in the art of combat. His age also leaves behind him a trail of experience that his build him into a resilient man both physically and psychologically.

  • Hard worker: Whatever Thane has accomplished and achieved in his life is because of his unreal work ethic. His determination and will to constantly push on has broken both physical and mental barriers. It has played a large part in shaping who Thane is. He has often received praising comments of his hard work and peers often refer their children to him as an example of the importance of hard work.

  • Beyond the border: Being a hard working and determined person comes with a price to pay. The price of biting off more than one can chew. Thane's will power has often led him to edge of life and death and most likely will be the reason of his death one day.

  • Days of youth gone behind: As much as he hates to admit it and actually never does, Thane perfectly well knows with great grief that his restless youth days are gone behind. Slowly he has been declining from his physical prime. On top of that, he has hit 18 years of smoking that are also beginning to surface as negative factors in his life.
PERSONALITY:
Thane is often seen as laconic. He speaks what the other needs to know and no more. This does not change the fact that he is very honest and not afraid to voice his opinion. Not recklessly but at the right time. Over his lifetime he had learned the importance of keeping things unsaid at one point of time and saying them at another.

The Aliit'buir of Clan Vizsla is known as a calm and collected person with unorthodox thinking capabilities. Yet, that does not make him immune to anger and being enraged. Thane's patience is neither short nor it is long. Depending on the severity of the situation, he would react differently. Some things would affect him more making him more prone to fury while others less. He tends to be a fairly balanced person.

Being a very reactive person in general, Thane's reactions are most often different depending on the situation. For example, at one given situation he would execute a target while at another he would not. The Vizsla is regarded as a very case-to-case character and that has often labeled him as unpredictable.

Regarding Force Users, Thane certainly does not like them. He has a great distaste for both Jedi and Sith. His hate for them stems for both religions' damage upon the Mandalorians. His feelings towards the Jedi seem more negative than the Sith but just by a tiny little bit. Thane sees both as two sides of the same coin.

BIOGRAPHY:
Roche.
Home of the Verpine.
That's where my earliest memories begin. Even they are blurry, very blurry. Sure not my birthplace but hell I consider it as it. I was six, I think or not really older than that. How did I end up there and from where ? To this I do not know but I will find out even if it means exploring the galaxy with a hunched back and long white beard. One thing I know is that I am Lorrdian, my adoptive parents figured it out but my only trip to Lorrd did not yield much results. Perhaps the second time I go, when I get the time, I might uncover something of my unknown past.

Enough of that.
In Roche you do as the Verpines do. Spend your life eating, sleeping and salvaging. Crawling and clawing through junk yards recycling parts to create something useful again. You would never know what deadly weapons you can make from junk. It's an art on its own. Sure you smell like crap most of the time but the lessons you learn are worth it as I came to understand later in my life. For the next six years of my life I learned how you could make literally anything from a pile of scrap.

Then I met my parents.
Mandalorian pair on their way back to Mandalore from a job in the outer rim, just stopping by to refuel at Roche. That's where I met 'em. Tried selling them a mini-flamethrower I had made, they bought it with a chuckle. I came in as a buy one junk, get a scruffy looking boy for free. That is when I was born again.

As a Mandalorian.
Life changed but not by much. Eat, Sleep, Mando, Salvage, Repeat. It was just less sleeping and more of the other three. Hell, the old man would feed me like a krayt dragon and I would never stop eating as well. Bottomless pit my stomach was. I grew stronger and I kept on working on junk and scrap yards. I guess I could never let go of doing that, I think if I had ever stopped doing it I would've gone crazy.

If you ask me now whether I love the Mandalorian life growing up or scavenging and salvaging things, I'd not know what to answer. If you conclude that would make me somehow less a Mando, you'd most likely lose your tongue. I still make things out of junk, I told you - if I stop doing that I'd probably go insane, and I am still a Mando. One unhappy Mando but on that later.

Passed my verd'goten when I was fourteen, slightly later than most but I was brought in later than most. It's the most exciting day for every young Mandalorian, it was a day everyone would look back at and cherish. I hate that day with my soul. I curse that day and I would give anything to go back. Why ? I lost the old man that day. Got ambushed, fifteen pirates roaming on that forsaken planet where we went to hunt. Bad luck ? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I will find out some day. The old man took with him ten pirates before they fell him and I ran. He saved me. I survived for a few more days before the distress call finally yielded a result - Mandalorians jumping from the sky annihiliating the pirates' presence on the planet completely. No one bothered capturing one, asking them a question or two. Pirates had no business where we had went. But Mandos being Mandos - shoot first, ask questions - never.

I learned a lot that day. I learned the value of life and the importance of strength. That verd'goten shaped me more than anything else ever in my life. I became obsessed with striving for more. Maximum and maximum. Always requiring more. Never satisfied. Day after day, I would tear my skin training, drop liters of sweat enough to feed a garden of plants then I would work at the scrap yard. Make things and then sell 'em, that's how I started feeding myself. Our culture was such that all helped me at the time of my need, that is being a Mando is. We are one huge family. We take care of our vode. I refused, though. No more would someone else sacrifice for me. I guess that helped me build respect in the eyes of the rest. While I was once a 'late-bloomer' among my peers, now I was building a reputation and respect before them.

I was becoming a Mandalorian.

Three more years of working and training day and night took me before I bought a ship and enough gear to venture out of Mandalore and work. At first we began as a couple of whelps like me, seventeen-eighteen year old Mandos willing to prove themselves to the galaxy. Got a scrap of a ship to transport us and enough money to maintain it and ourselves before our first paycheck would come.

Those days were good.

Young, wild and free, we explored different parts of the galaxy from one end to the other doing jobs all guns blazing. We'd work our bones off, we'd take the craziest challenges and we would barely make it alive. Klyde, that crazy bastard, lost both his arms, swapped them for cybernetics. Laughed on both occasions. Life was great then, credits were coming. More and more after each job we did. Women were coming in bulk. Prettier and prettier after each job. Alcohol was getting cheaper. Drugs too. We were idiots, we were. Mandos did have fun, true despite the stereotypes but not as reckless as we did. Drugs were a shame back home.

We were not getting tired at all of the fast life full of adrenaline. We were losing our 'religion'. We were losing our true identity.

Till I didn't meet that girl.

Cheesy, right ? It happens to all of us.

But I ain't gonna talk about that. Just a few words. Just because you're too friggin' curious.

A wild girl. Going all the wrong places. An explorer, an adventurer. Smart, pretty, she was everything. Ended up following her literally beyond galaxy to a place called Lwhekk. Never saw her again, while I got chained and sent to my death.

But a Mando doesn't die as easily as they like to think.

Came back to our galaxy a different man. Grown up and back as a Mandalorian more than ever. After four years with my Mando band of mercs, I had gone for five years surviving away from our known galaxy and finally I have returned home to Mandalore. Nine years of absence. Left as a seventeen year old kid, came back as a twenty six year old grizzled man. I looked by far older than twenty six.

It took me two years to re-establish my reputation as a reliable and true Mandalorian on Mandalore. My hard work paid off. I had taken up a new 'hobby' - forging. The sacred secrets of the famed Mandalorian Iron lied in forging. A very well respected profession among Mandalorians. Yet, my time was not enough for it and even until now I am still learning things just after the basics. Maybe I should devote more time to it ?

My life became slightly more monotonous and it gave me the time to think and to realize the state of the Mandalorians. Where were we as people and I fell disgusted. It had been more than two thousand years since the Mandalorian Wars and we've only kept on declining. We no longer seemed as fearsome as we used to be, our reputation was deteriorating. I remember my father telling me of our glorious days, of our crusade upon the galaxy, of how people would shudder at the sight of the T-visor. I want to bring those days back, I want to bring us back on the galactic scene and even more.

I want us to conquer the galactic scene.

Passion stirred within me, passion to commit to that. My clan saw it, everyday they saw my fire and they followed. After the death of our Aliit'buir, I became the next one as I am now. Hoping to grow my clan, to make it well know among the other legendary clans. I had the feeling that I would succeed, that the name Vizsla would echo through the centuries ahead.

Yet, most of all I wanted was to bring the Mandalorians back at their rightful place.

You all already know where that is.

So this is finished. Probably going to expand on the skills later on today or actually tomorrow. I will be really happy to get some feedback! The tech will be submitted tomorrow for sure (hopefully).

Looks good. Keep in mind, your beskar'gam options right now are these:

http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/mandalorian-cct-armour.65105/
http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/mandalorians-tactical-armor.64658/
http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/mandalorian-armour-mk-ii.64395/
http://www.thestarwarsrp.com/forum/index.php?threads/mandalarmor-guild-huskarl-class-armor.64340/

that isn't to say you couldn't submit a new set for approval. CCT is basically gonna be your classic beskar'gam though. Oh, and mando armor is no longer lightsaber-proof. Beskar doesn't exist this timeline. If you want I believe 1 hit of lightsaber protection then you've gotta throw some cortosis or phrik on there.

@Prudence

Severely puts us in super under dog position. That makes it even sweeter when we get to crush the Jetii. Crushgaunts are also non-existent/banned, I assume ?

I will go ahead and get a few tech subs up tomorrow, see what the tech peeps say. CCT does seem similar to what I am aiming to sub.
